  1. We had internal discussions about this and decided to move the white text to our console message box ONLY when an error occurs in sim. You can download the updated plugin which removes the white text from the upper left here:
  2. This is not a support topic. Use the appropriate forums, please: https://forums.x-pilot.com/forums/forum/191-support/
  3. Did you not see the last bullet point in the originating post of this topic?
  4. So long as you run v20 you shouldn't need to.
  5. Make sure you run the 1.31 update. That means you'll need a fresh download for the new installer. Ben tells me the Gizmo 18 issue you have seen sounds like it's due to xjet, but keep in mind a certain beta product you are a part of requires v20.
  6. As I understand you, you stated Gizmo 20 does not crash, but Gizmo 18 does. A new IXEG update was released today, and that update includes the ability to install Gizmo 20 beta, newer than the version you currently have installed. Please refer to my last response to you.
  7. Respectfully and bluntly: No one is forcing you to run a beta. If you don't like it, run the stable version of Gizmo. The end goal is to get to a final Gizmo v20 product, at which time the message will be removed. This does assist that process, like it or not. It's also not going to be something up for debate. This is not a matter of trying to be rude, just real.
  8. You are using an old beta version. The only one we can provide support for would be the one in the IXEG installer.
  9. This is a bug we are aware of, but haven't been able to figure why. It is in some way related to the beta version of Gizmo. Your choice here would be to reset in a turn around state, or change to stable Gizmo.
  10. Can we at least get a screenshot of what you're seeing?

  12. This has been covered so many times. If you want the answers to this, read around.
  13. Friendly reminder that this should not be a primary topic for support, guys. Please create topics for organizational purposes: https://forums.x-pilot.com/forums/forum/191-support/
  14. You're right. That is the file, and it explains why it is always uninstalled. Since it is part of our default install, the installer sees it as something to remove. I will work around this in the next installer build.
  15. You may see the following type of message in X-Plane in the upper left corner: This is intentional! It is NOT a bug, and you cannot remove it. It is also temporary. If you see this message, you are running the beta version of Gizmo. We found too many people seeking assistance for bugs without posting logs, but they would show screenshots. This text does two things for us: 1. It allows us to immediately identify the beta version of Gizmo you are running. If you are out of date, we can tell you to update. 2. It forces a time limit for how long you can run a specific build of a beta version of Gizmo so that you are not continually running something old and buggy. Once we are done with beta, the white text will be removed. Until that time, this text will remain while we continue to debug and create a new, high performing, stable version of Gizmo v20. If you want to get rid of the message, you can re-install with Gizmo v18 stable, however, it may not perform as smooth as the beta, so choose however you feel necessary!
  16. Are you sure? Looking at that further, that looks to be a file we create, not X-Plane. It's part of our install.
  17. It's been explained already in the very topic you've posted in!
  18. That will typically happen if you've "gone away" from the installer to multitask on other stuff. I can't help that one, honestly. I'm glad you sorted it out though. I don't create custom views myself. What's the filename called? I'll be sure we code a fail-safe for this next round.
  19. Something weird here. I personally program these installers. We do not have any text to prompt a restart, and that file should be preserved. If for some reason that file is not getting preserved, I can try and code around this further. Have you experienced this every time you've updated?
  20. I'd like to understand this a bit more. By views, do you mean the IXEG menu controlled view prefs, or X-Plane custom selected views? The installer does not touch files which it did not create (like liveries you download from the internet). Therefore, if it's custom X-Plane views you shouldn't be getting hit with this.
  21. I don't know what you're asking here? The info was added to help us diagnose when people post screenshots. It also ensures people can not run old versions of the beta if they chose to install it. When the beta run is final and we make a new stable release of Gizmo, the wording will be removed. We don't know when that will be.
