  1. No texture is going to help with any puffs of grass. These would need to be created as .lin files or something similar, and there is no easy way to do this on a mass scale. In short, they are billboarded objects and not flat 2D textures.
  2. The primary issue with RPX is it is Windows only, and as far as we have been aware, the developer has somewhat lost interest in the X-Plane market for the time being.
  3. Looks great, Leen!
  4. It's really too early to tell where we'd go with the B variant. It will definitely not be released at the same time as the A variant.
  5. Lookin' real good!
  6. Not dumb when you're learning and having fun! Enjoy it and welcome to X-Pilot!
  7. Are you activating the actual autopilot? Once the FD is on, activate autopilot with (I don't have plane in front of me) I believe CMD A button.
  8. Hi, there, I'll look into this for you when I get back into the office tomorrow!
  9. It's used in quite a few products purchased from X-Aviation. Can you try running the XP updater on your X-Plane install and make sure you don't have some random files that have somehow gone missing?
  10. Looks great!

Really depends on the design you want...you can use Photoshop (Payware) or Gimp (Free) to create sigs like the one you have right now. It's actually pretty easy and fun to learn! I would suggest starting with Gimp and have a play with layers and effects.
  12. Really cool to see the community pitch in on this, Chris! Really great!
  13. For now all you can do is lower your texture resolution.
  14. No, but this would be the place to see them when we do.
  15. Hi, John, You're welcome to disable as you please, but as a matter of mention you certainly shouldn't need to! It's an extra step we don't want to tack on to our customers, and if you're seeing no effects from it I don't think you should have to. Glad things are looking on the "up!"
  16. Shrink-Wrap and Gizmo are part of the DC-3 install. Both will do no interaction with any aircraft unless we tell it to. A specific file has to be present that initiates any kind of interaction with those plug-ins, so you're in the clear there. By faded I assume you mean graphically faded textures? This really sounds like a video driver issue or perhaps memory exhaustion. What are your system specs?
  17. Hi, John, X-Aviation is the correct folder. That said, I think there's something else at play here that just so happened to take effect around the same time of install. As stated, we don't alter any X-Plane settings, aircraft, or folders with the exception of creating our own. I've never in all my times doing support heard of this actually. Did you do some kind of a mass aircraft update in Plane Maker any time recently?
  18. Hi, John, I've never heard of this before. That said, we don't touch any aircraft directories or alter any files in the install process. We actually create our own folder, so I would assume you may have something else at play here!
  19. I don't think it will be anytime real soon, paulyg. We're focused on a minor patch and our next products at the moment. A military variant isn't a necessity as much a luxury at this point, but don't cancel it out entirely!
  20. Looks great, Pete!
  21. What ended up being the answer from X-Plane.com?

You're on an iMac, which does not have an upgrade path for the GPU, unfortunately. You are 'stuck' with what you have until you purchase a new computer!
  23. Emalice, This does not pertain to X-Plane 10 only. The plug-in is utilized in both versions, and while the engine model is not as glaringly bad in 9, there are still plug-in issues. Rather than ever give updates we also could have opted to stay mum on the entire update process and you would have never known a FREE one was coming, however, we believe it is both good and fun to keep people informed. If it's caused you to become upset instead then we apologize. There was no lie that came about when Tom stated he was working on the manual and had thought he was done. However, as he was putting the manual itself through "the paces," there were evident issues becoming apparent in the plug-in for both 9 AND 10. Releasing a product separately is just not going to happen.
  24. More news on NORCAL and its distribution process will be released in relatively short order. Thanks!
  25. Emalice, 1. No one said it would take one year. 2. We do not release incomplete products. The Moo has issues, and as Tom stated these issues are so fundamentally visible that they pose greater problems than what is currently available. 3. Technically, the MU-2 is a three year old product that never had mention or promise for an upgrade until recently, and that still has not changed. Our commitment to this product is not any different than it ever was, but it must be done right, just like it was for the version of X-Plane it was created for. Simply put: we will not be releasing this product in its current state.
