I agree with you there. That said, PM does exist without all the other chatter that gets infused into discussion. Sorry, Markus, I'm having a hard time comprehending your words today. Perhaps lack of sleep, perhaps language barrier. Not sure what you mean by "curious", but that said, the MU-2 roll is indeed a realistic effect of the aircraft. So much so, that in real life it's often known to be a death machine for that very reason. Tom is pretty anal about the MU-2 (it's his favorite aircraft), and has quite a number of real flying hours in them as PIC. Given that alone, I take his word over anyone else's (even though stories about the real aircraft concur with Tom anyhow). Definitely enough for me. No problems at all.

Rather than post here, why don't you ask him? I've read this over and again and can't make sense of what you are trying to say. If you're having trim issues it could be hardware related. I have no such issues (assuming this is what you're saying).

X-Plane has a right roll effect present in a number of aircraft that needs some adjustment by Laminar. Nothing major, but also not 100% realistic and is overall sim related. I have never had anything even close to the issues Intrance is speaking about, including in the many flights I have done this week. If this truly were a widespread issue this forum would be pounded with many complaining folks over and over. A lot of Jetstreams have been sold up to this point, and this isn't even something we get emails about!

My post was not necessarily directed at you. Eversince this Dreamteam stuff has come here there has been drama internally and externally of the group. That said, the above posted e-mail should settle the doubts you personally had, as well as Peter's.

He ended up going crazy on personal levels in a topic now in a section of the forums you don't yet have access to. As you establish membership here you'll see the new section pop up eventually and you can read all about it.

X-Plane DreamTeam MD-11 v1.0 beta released
Cameron replied to howardthepilot1999's topic in General Discussion
Perhaps you guys should all get on the same page as a team and in private. We don't need an episode of 'Days of our Lives' played out in the forums. Closing this for now, guys. Come back a little more focused in the future. -
Take this to PM, guys. We don't need to fill up the forum with a bunch of people not trusting one another. People have the ability to be sincere, so let's be mindful of what we post with regards to doubts.

The Yosemite area was covered in the Mammoth screenshot set dated the 16th. I'm sure we'll show more as the time comes.

Enjoy the screenshots that have been posted daily.

Nothing wrong with you playing it safe and voting with your wallet! I'd imagine you're missing out on a lot of good in the end, but it's your money and you can spend it how you wish!

Hi, There!, We'll be releasing this once 10.2 goes final. In the meantime you may use the 32-bit variant of 10.2 with 1.5.2, or you may request a link from us on the X-Aviation contact page for 1.4.5 if 1.5.2 is giving you issues. There's a few topics here about this already. Since you're a new customer, I'll just let you know that all customers receive emails about updates as soon as they are released, as well as how to obtain them.

Grass is unfortunately one of those things that needs to better evolve. We've had this discussion with Laminar a few times when ILM was in development, and in short, in time Laminar hopes to address a better way of going about it. As you've seen, it's sporadic and looks quite bad, and placing it in the manner you/we did is said to be very inefficient performance wise. We're waiting for better future help on our end. Thought you'd like to know the same.
-
Yes, though it has not been distributed as such at every venue.

I had the same questions back a few months, James. I ultimately ended up with the 680 and cannot say enough good things about it! It runs X-Plane 10 really well!
-
Yes, you understand it correctly. If you like, I'm sure Javier can clarify further, but he did do this for a reason.

I'm aware of a release candidate released today, but not a final version. More info here: http://developer.x-plane.com/2013/02/10-20-we-have-a-release-candidate/ We'll continue to monitor progress, and most importantly, all customers will receive an e-mail (and a post made here) when the update is actually available.

Unfortunately, he was banned.

In past days, but no longer an issue now. This happened ONLY if you had SASL also installed, by the way. See here: http://blog.x-aviation.com/2012/11/gizmo-and-sasl/ You are correct. As you have now noted, the spelling is different, but to further the answer, that website is maintained by Ben Supnik (the now primary programmer of X-Plane). The flight loop is where data is calculated at fractions of a second, constantly looped. This applies to not only flight dynamics, but also custom plug-ins. Code is constantly being looped through since variables may changed based on airspeed, etc. Think of it like an audio recording that plays and loops at a very rapid pace.

Wow. Really fantastic work here! Thanks for sharing!

Was directed at me. We were at a conference in France. I'd never met the guy, but that was his way of saying "hello."

Not sure what you mean. We are in no way distributing Google imagery. I believe you may be referring to TerraMetrics in the image, which is not owned, but licensed by Google. Jumping the gun doesn't work in your favor. If you feel something is amiss please consult those that you feel have their terms violated and we would be happy to clarify and show all licensing with them. Our obligation is not with you. That wasn't sarcasm. I meant it. Why shut it down? So long as you love what you're doing then it shouldn't matter. Competition is healthy (even if this isn't competition), and given the performance of our product I'm in no way concerned. Bringing to light something I felt you may have been unaware of is a better way of putting it.

You said "freeware or payware." This is why you have been linked. Not sure what wave of a hand refers to, but I'd venture to say that freeware often disappears at a rapid rate compared to payware because there's little money stream funding the existence of the product/project. Good luck on it, though! Edit: You've changed your whole post.... The scenery we sell is by no means low res. In fact, one of the biggest comments we get on it is just how clear it really is! As our best selling scenery (by a large margin), I'd venture to guess most of your assessment in how people perceive the scenery is incorrect. Of course, it's all good and well if you feel you have higher standards and can take X-Plane to the next level...just remember that you can't take the sim down with it if you want that to happen. The 3D buildings are easily overlaid on the imagery thanks to the free autogen download that was created for this scenery by Benny. I do look forward to what you have to offer, though. Performance will be the biggest test of time...something we are well known for up to this point. If you can pull all of that detail off without compromising performance you get a standing ovation from me. No idea what you're talking about. All of our imagery is licensed and paid for. You'd be a fool to think we put something on the market that wasn't.
