Thanks, Sergio! We appreciate the kind words and enthusiasm!

Yes, they are. Ben Supnik to be exact. But you would need a 32-bit plug-in to be able to tell the person "this doesn't work in 32-bit." Can't do that with a 64-bit plug-in. Isn't that the point of the pretty graphics that specify system and X-Plane compatibility on the product page?

Great, thanks for reporting back. Also, for new customers, the original issue has been solved and things are working 100% normal again.
-
Great, thanks! Did you run Livery Manager and fix this?
-
I take it you are on Windows, and selected a 2GB or higher video card...is that assumption correct? I am fixing this now (due to new installer I uploaded). In the meantime, you can fix this yourself by loading up the Livery Manager located in the Aircraft/X-Aviation/Saab 340A folder and selecting United Express for install!

My personal favorite livery!

Indeed, nice shots! So that everyone knows, that Gizmo watermark is there by error due to a bad component in the install process during testing. We were able to track which of you have this errant file and I have personally already sent you a download link to a very small download which patches this problem and a crucial texture one. Please check your e-mails for this download link if you see the Gizmo watermark in the bottom right! If you for some reason did not get this e-mail, contact me right away via PM here and I will get you sorted! Glad you're enjoying the plane, BWolf7.

I've reset you back to the original amount, so no worries!

Probably in same boat as above poster. Actual zip size is over 30MB. Please re-download.
-
You likely started to download it while we were uploading it, hence it was incomplete. Please use your last download and I'll happily reset that for you.
-
Hi, Guys, This is now back online. You may have started just a few seconds too soon. I would re-download that link just to be sure! Anyways, everyone should be good to go again!

Hey, there, This is just momentary. I am making a small update on the server and it will be back in a few minutes!

Thanks to all of you for the kind comments! We worked really hard to bring a stellar product at what we feel is an amazing price for all that's there! Please consider helping your peers out with their decision to purchase, as well as helping us with your support by writing a mini personal review about this product: https://www.x-aviation.com/catalog/product_reviews_write.php?products_id=100 Thanks again!

AVG is being overly protective, likely due to the livery management program.
-
Thanks for the comments. A lot of programming went into all of that. We also upped the deployment system with ultra fast servers around the world to serve the files from the closest one to you. We've tested this extensively for weeks now and haven't heard of that one, but we'll keep an eye out. May well be an issue on your end.

Hello, Folks, With the release of the Saab 340A now out of the way, this forum is closed to any future new posts and replies. Instead, please use the newly designated support forum! Cheers!

Hello, Captains!, Today we are pleased to announce the release of the Saab 340A! After more than three years and endless hours of testing, researching, and creating, we are happy this day has finally arrived! All of this time has resulted in: An amazing new 3D sound engine with more than 130 sources of sound32 liveries included at no extra costA study level simulation with accurately represented systems via pluginA ground breaking interactive aircraft menu system...and much more! We would like to thank all of you for your patience throughout the development, and we hope you enjoy this awesome simulation! You may learn more and purchase the Saab 340A now! Happy flying, folks!

This is precisely why we date ranged it. Originally we thought same day as announcement, but things happen in this funky world they call programming. We'll all live another few hours and it'll be behind us. It's not like we're looking at days late again.
-
You're implying that everything is complete, ready, and we're just holding the push of a button till the last second. This isn't the case. It's a date range as best estimate. Wrong thinking. This is a VERY complex installer setup code wise. The most complex we have done yet. Thanks! All of you with weird thoughts: None of this is about marketing hype and waiting till the last minute (I suppose that would be fun in another world). We're giving you access to information that we typically keep close. Many of you have asked, so we're taking the time to inform. The information we give you is what we believe to be true internally the second we write about it. Take it or leave it! I think we're on about our third or fourth week straight with ridiculous work hours doing all of this. There's a lot of prep that goes into all of the backend code, manuals, and installers. Personally, I average about 4 hours of sleep per night right now, so calm yourselves and the theories a bit, please. We're pretty close to schedule this time. The livery manager took a little longer than expected to get working correctly (that was last nights project), but we've got that solved now. We are currently all testing the installers on the live servers now. A few minor bumps found, but nothing too major. The release will be today, not far from this prediction as indicated in status report #3.

You're not slowing down anything. We just didn't elect to do that version of the branded JAL livery. You'll have the liberty to make and share one yourself with the paintkit!
-
That would be correct. With your setup, the installer would grab the highest resolution version for you. Texture quality may be changed only by doing a new re-install, but we've done testing on a pretty wide range of systems to ensure we got this right. We also made sure that legibility of text in the cockpit was always clear, so I don't think we'll really hear complaints. Even the lowest resolution version isn't really all that low res.

Hello, Captains!, I know many of you have been patiently (or not so patiently) waiting for the Saab 340A release. It's been a few days since our last update, so here's a new one for you... First and foremost, get ready! We are 48 hours or less from release. It could be in one hour, it could be in five, it could be in 48. This means as soon as our installers are compiled, tested, uploaded, and the product page is ready to go, the product will be online. We have finished creating all manuals and fixing bugs found along the way. The documentation for this product is very comprehensive, as it should be. The systems manual is 200+ pages of reading material for you to learn and understand how the Saab 340A works both in sim an in the real world. Of course, if you're not the person to want to read and you just want to get in and fly, the auto start feature on this aircraft was made just for you, so don't feel left out! Here's a few highlights to expect with this product: Liveries The Saab 340A comes with 32 liveries spread across three variants. These liveries are included with your Saab 340A purchase at no additional charge. The list of liveries is as follows... Passenger Variant Air New Zealand LinkContinental ConnectionCrossairDelta ConnectionEstonian - Hockey Bird LiveryFlybe Logan AirFuerza Aerea ArgentineaJapan Air LinesKenya AirwaysLeading Edge Simulations House LiveryNextJetNokairNorthwest AirlinkNorthwest Airlink - Route Map LiveryPacific CoastalPenAirPrivate/Corporate LiveryREXREX - City of Wagga Wagga LiveryREX - Shark Diving LiverySaab House Factory ColorsSilverSkywaysTrans World ExpressUnited Express (Tulip)US Airways Express Cargo Variant Adria CargoAloha Air CargoBridgesDHL AEW Variant Swedish Air ForceRoyal Thai Air Force 3D Sound Engine We've touched on this a bit before, but I'll elaborate a bit more now. The Saab 340A comes with a brand new sound engine called soundXtreme. It was built to do what we wanted and how we wanted rather than having to rely on third party solutions or default sounds. The sound engine allows for sound files to play from certain places in 3D space, recognizes where the sound should be directed, and whether the sound being played is for interior or exterior. This is a very light description of this sound engine (it's very advanced), but there's no need to get too technical in this post over it. I'll say this: It rocks! The actual sounds came from a real Saab 340A. We partnered with Turbine Sound Studios on an all-new HD pack (not their currently released MSFS offering) for the interior and exterior engine sounds. The prop, turbine, and every other sound are separated from one another so that our sound engine has full control of every aspect of each sound. You guys will pick up on this right way as you move your condition levers around the various ranges...it's chilling how good it sounds! The internal cockpit warning and cabin sounds came from our own real recordings in a Saab 340A. Each sound you hear will be authentic to the aircraft! All in all, the aircraft comes with more than 130 unique samples of sound. Installation The Saab 340A installation program will take a departure from our traditional installers and fetch only the files you really want. We do this for a variety of reasons, with the first being the fact that some of you will not want every variant or livery we have made. Within the installer you will be able to select which variants (passenger variant mandatory) and liveries you want installed. Based on your selection, the installer will fetch the appropriate files and install them for you. During the install process we also analyze your system to provide you the best experience in sim. You'll be asked what video card you have, and based on this selection we will auto-install the necessary texture sizes for your video card. Rest assured, we have gone through great lengths to make sure the aircraft textures look good, so let the installer do it's thing and be truthful in your selection of hardware. The size of install will vary depending on selections of hardware and liveries, but the max install (all options selected) will run at about a 1.4GB download and just about 1.9GB installed. Livery Manager We will be including a livery manager program. In short, this program will allow you to install liveries you previously did not install in the installation process without having to go through the entire install process again. This is pretty self explanatory from here, so no need to further elaborate. Documentation Documentation will include the following manuals: Introduction and settings, Charts, Company Manual (Systems), Quick/Autostart Manual, and a flight tutorial. Okay, so that's where we stand right now. Hopefully this little update is well received and gets you prepared for what's to come and what to expect. We'll be seeing you soon!

Haha...apparently you don't know Ben. There's no such thing as exaggeration for him. EVERY one of his points seem straight and "to the point". Please, by all means, name off the one's you feel did not happen. Cheerio!
-
LOL. Are you trying to tell Ben the experience he just had did not just really happen to him? For the record, I had the exact same problem recently, as did someone else who Ben linked to in that Avsim topic (two people actually)...and so did another person who just messaged me a bit ago privately saying their experience with X-Plane in Linux was the same. Best you look in the mirror. Trying to dispute someone's experience that they just step-by-step laid out is in poor taste. It's true. Your experience may vary...and that's a BIG part of the problem.
