  1. What are you talking about? We support working software. It was your choice to run a beta, not mine or anyone else. And you were told in one e-mail that we would look into, subsequently followed by another e-mail that Laminar was aware of it and it was now in their hands. What does OS X Yosemite have to do with anything? I am strictly referring to X-Plane 10. You are running Beta 5 of X-Plane 10.3. If you want Maxx FX to work, roll back to 10.25. OS X Yosemite is not stopping you from doing that! The is a quote from my signature, Brian. It appears on every post I make. It was not specifically directed at you. What? Yes you did hear back from us. You even mentioned it in your first thread starting post. You just didn't like the answer that Laminar was aware of the issue and it was in their hands. But this is not the issue you had. Sundog misunderstood your issue. You don't have this issue, so no "bingo" here. Looking for a failed license check that doesn't exist is definitely barking up the wrong tree. Your license is working as it should.
  2. Brian, As you were told in email, this issue is currently NOT our problem! Laminar is aware of the problem and they know that something in 10.3 has caused this. If you want products to run flawlessly please consider not running beta software.
  3. In my opinion, no.
  4. No, you do not need to reinstall.
  5. Send an e-mail through our tech support form and we'll be happy to sort you out! Go here: http://www.x-aviation.com/catalog/contact_us.php
  6. Have you tried downloading the installer/updater from X-Plane.com and running the installer through the downloaded app rather than from the DVD?
  7. You were responded to (all multiple of your emails) well over a week ago. All of these emails bounced. Please consider sending in a support ticket from an alternative address.
  8. That's false. It was less than 24 hours ago now. But, please read below just as an FYI, even if this does not directly apply to you. If you have e-mailed, please send it only once and know that questions will be answered in the order received. One is all it takes to get through to us, and multiple will move your support ticket to the bottom of the queue automatically. Thanks!
  9. Okay, guys. This topic is going nowhere by this point and I think all that needs to be said has been said. I don't feel we'll get anywhere productive further than what has been offered by keeping this open, so this topic is now closed.
  10. Digital, non-tangible goods are not protected by PayPal and they will ALWAYS side with the seller in this situation.
  11. Just to clarify, I believe this statement is incorrect. As far as I recall, the 757 is controlled by activation. Therefore, while you can sell the product, he does not have to clear the activation slot for your newfound owner to actually be able to USE the product. This is where DRM does in fact come into play. So, again, if Nicolas already said no, and you decide to sell, it doesn't mean Nicolas will comply with your sale and request for him to free up the activation slot for use on a new machine. I know this may be a waste of a post at this point (since you have decided to no longer sell), but I wanted to clarify this point. It appears to me you didn't think about this part of the whole ordeal.
  12. I'm sure that's where it's headed, but again, it cannot be applied to software published or distributed from the USA. It's especially true if the product has some form of a license/activation scheme, which in this case it does, so if a user wishes to even sell their software they still need compliance from someone in the USA...and we both know how that will likely turn out.
  13. Which brings us to the final point that X-Plane.org is actually a vendor located in the USA. They are controlling and distributing the license, as well as have the publishing rights to the products in question, so I think the answer is rather simple here. Nicolas said no to transferring the license, and that's what stands. He does not have to comply with the EU law if he chooses not to.
  14. Thanks for the report, though at this time not a single other person has reported such behavior. I'd venture to guess something else is at play here. We'd surely have heard about this one by now if it were happening to others.
  15. Maybe you should re-consider your posting: http://forums.x-plane.org/index.php?showtopic=71035&p=826487 I don't really think there's a need. This plane has been out almost a year (come September). You're the first person to complain and jump the gun like this. People tend to come to expect this when we talk about something being so complex.
  16. I have this exact setup, and it does run X-Plane 10 quite good. That said, remember that the laptop has a harder time dissipating heat than something like an iMac would, so you're going to have a hot laptop and a lot of fan noise going on at the same time. If you want me to test specific settings in a specific area, let me know and I can give you the performance spec on it. No telling how quick I'll be, but I'll try to help you out.
  17. Which is a good thing. X-Plane needs complex products! Luckily more are on the way, but someone has to break the ice. Customers have been crying for it! It IS applicable if you used the advanced menu options as specified in one of the manuals. There's a reason X-Plane has this menu in existence. They were thinking forward to a day like this when it would be needed! It is not a "Gizmo issue", but the reality that almost every other aircraft you seem to have purchased or downloaded was developed by using X-Plane's default throttle quadrant functionality, which then means it used default datarefs. As such, some things just worked because there was no programming logic other than what X-Plane already offers to make it operate. For the Saab 340, we couldn't do that if we wanted the aircraft to act like the real thing. X-Plane does not support this functionality right, so we custom programmed it to be like the REAL aircraft. The end result is we made alternate accommodations for you to use your hardware (and by the way, there's plenty of people using Saitek equipment with this product). Consider this a primer on what's to come in future add-ons. It's good to get familiar with the more advanced options in X-Plane's menus! It's logical, yes. But, as per the documentation included with this aircraft states, it's also incorrect. You still have more to learn about the X-Plane community and its history. Either way, not a discussion for this thread, as it's honestly irrelevant and the answer to this question exists in so many different places...with a little research that is. That said, it's essentially water under the bridge by now and I warn you that doing such research is an honest waste of your time. We're focused on moving forward. That's it. You can most certainly get your hardware to work as it should with this aircraft. Learning is part of that process. Let me just say, however, that this is not helping. I hope you reconsider, as your statements in that post are false to a very large degree.
  18. Jim's latest reply still stands.
  19. Never seen this error so not sure what to say. If you have no issues flying then nothing to worry about.
  20. Hi Jim, Not to sound defensive, but have you ventured into the included manuals? We spent a ton of time on these for a reason, and most of your questions (AP related anyhow) can be answered there.
  21. I'm sorry, but joke or not, this is not the place to discuss something like that, and your past actions of abusing the reputation system will not be tolerated either. Dimitri has been suspended until he can sort things out on a personal level. Hopefully you can come back as a mature individual in time. Good luck with whatever issues you have going on, and all the best in any kind of recovery!
  22. You can find it here: http://forums.x-pilot.com/index.php?/topic/6798-More-SkyMAXX-V2 No other information to offer at this time. Sorry!
  23. There's already a topic in this forum showing version 2.0 previews.
  24. The same license will work. The clouds will be synchronized.
