I like cheese.

It's on your order invoice. Having just looked at your order, you have version 1.3.

In theory the combination of this and SkyMaxx Pro 3 should significantly help with this, yes. That said, we have made some optimizations to version 3.1 of SkyMaxx Pro which should also yield some better performance as a whole. We haven't really announced much of SkyMaxx Pro v3.1, but we will in due course. It's got some nice enhancements!

Glad you all are safe!

Correct!

To keep the forum software up to date.

Just re-run the SkyMaxx Pro installer. It'll do all the necessary steps for you.

A new video from Nils has been posted showing off flap vortices for the 737 Classic! Check it out below!

In other news, all I can think about now is this.

Oh, dear lord...YOU are the guy that MADE that video! You didn't "find" any video. Hahahahahahah. I just realized it after doing some investigating on your username! I should have known... For those not aware, F-16FF goes by another username as well, Viper04. He made this video and posted it ages ago. So, we're back to the same one person complaining about this. Figures. Bye bye.

The rain you see is made by X-Plane, not SkyMaxx. Nothing has changed in the rain. All I can tell you is the individual who made that video went out of his way to make it so obvious and create a deal over it. We have been selling the SkyMaxx Pro series since almost three years now. It is easily the highest selling product in X-Plane, and with many thousands of people using it, if it were as big a deal or even as obvious as this guy tried to make it out to be then you would see these forums filled with tons of complaints. I even forgot about this video. I fly in rainy conditions in X-Plane all the time, and never, ever do I "see" this because in motion it's not as drastic or noticeable as this video tries to portray it and it's actually a rare occurrence altogether. Why does the "problem" exist? It's a limitation in how X-Plane renders different things in the sim (lights, rain, etc). In all reality, this is in the end an issue for Laminar Research to figure out down the line. In the meantime, I'm going to get back to flying some 737 flights through heavy rain with SkyMaxx Pro 3 and not noticing this "effect". Cheers!

Indicative of your gpu running out of memory I believe.

The aircraft utilizes X-Plane's default sound "engine", so any problems you'd have would result from X-Plane (if there even is a problem).

Really, if we're being honest, this topic is about a video, butttttt.... Tom = Working on FMS code, as well as 3D items that had to be wrapped up and were to be expected to ship with version 1.0. VNAV continues to be the primary focus for Tom starting tomorrow after a short break to give his mind some rest and do some "easy" 3D. Sadly, he got quite ill last week while out at my office to work, so the last days have been relatively rough. In the evenings working on manuals and formatting them has been the norm, sick or not. Jan = Working with Tom on FMS testing as functionality gets implemented, and working on manuals. Me = Assisting in manuals and being overly obnoxious as per usual. Nils = Working on 3D and texturing Morten = Working on getting the paint kit in releasable fashion, as well bringing new UV maps/liveries up to speed, and just completed the new IXEG livery as seen in previous post of this thread It's a situation of the last 10% is always the hardest. You fill in the small things to make the overall product polished and complete.

With all due respect, this is simply the type of logic which would get a company into red waters. Marketing is a necessary evil in any product category, especially in categories where the market is much smaller than most, thus it takes a while for word to get around. It is because of the effective marketing and lead time for even this product that it will succeed, and also why so many in even the MSFS community are willing to finally make the leap to X-Plane. We will have to agree to disagree here. I waited months to purchase a recently announced product from Apple that I wanted. I did not get upset for the wait I had to endure for something I so badly wanted. I knew it would come when it was ready. I've even waited up to a year or close to it for things announced at CES shows each year in Las Vegas. My last monitor purchase was announced 9-10 months prior to release, and that was just a monitor! You see, every company does this. It's necessary, and it's smart. Can you imagine what it would be like for even these guys to have worked for 5 years on a product, not marketed it during that time till a couple of weeks in advance of release (all while quitting a job and banking on this for income), and to not be met with even an ounce close to the fanfare it will now have thanks to all the marketing and effort they've put in to getting the word out? It would have been impossible to even showcase how advanced a product like this is in its systems simulation in such a short timeframe. Never mind the fact it would have also probably guaranteed this to be the last product to ever be made by IXEG before it was even released! We don't force you to follow development of these products. We also don't force you to subscribe to newsletters, or be obligated to hear every word we say. It is your choice, and if you so choose to follow development the entire way, we'll welcome you with open arms. Alternatively, if you become offended by such announcements being made, I would recommend you steer clear of these places and just wait for word of mouth to venture your way when such a release has come. All I'm saying is business and marketing 101 say market your product and be smart with doing so. Every second, minute, day, and year is an opportunity. Use it! Considering this is the only product in prior time with such statements made and unfortunately hadn't come out in short order following said statements due to some unforeseen setbacks or amendments, yes, I am eluding to this very one! In closing: I know there are many people here who have been insanely appreciative of the progress previews which have been released. So much so, in fact, they continue to ask for more. Please remember you are not the only person we're trying to reach out to, sir. There's a lot of people in this world. We want to reach as many as we can and ensure we're here for the long haul. We have a proven track record to release each product we announce, and until a product is declared canceled you can assume it will be in the store. It takes time, effort, and money to market. We wouldn't waste resources on this stuff if we didn't have true intentions.

Not at this time. It may be worth looking into later down the road though!

And, as far as I am aware (barring one product at this time due to multiple re-do's), all products have always been released, so whatever you're eluding to escapes me. That said, you are entitled to your opinion, and I'll respect that. I sincerely apologize for having offended you by announcing products are coming soon or almost here. More-so, I am sorry for having affected you with my words in prior time to provoke such disdain at this point and time. I can see you are passionate and upset about this to a very high level and regret you have such feelings. As I am not a developer of said products and those involved are working very hard (some of whom have quit their jobs to dedicate time to this and other projects) I would caution you to realize your words are then re-directed towards them. Tom, Jan, Morten, and Nils have worked tirelessly for five years to bring this product to life. They deserve the recognition, respect, and appreciation for all their hard work. I would hope you wouldn't go so low as to discredit such, but if you feel it as necessary as you just have to voice such lack of appreciation then I won't stop you. I can only wish you felt differently. To all others: My prior post still stands. This product is nothing short of remarkable, and as we all know, it will indeed be released.

Yes. It's called marketing. This is common in a business of selling product. For example...JetBlue announced service from New York to Daytona Beach 13 months ago. They started the route two weeks ago. They put it in people's head to be expecting ticket sales at some point (7 months later than the initial announcement, 6 months prior to commencement of service). Apple does this too. They tend to announce product and there is a several month waiting period. I would encourage you to read the original post again where it is very clear this product is not on any timeline. "Soon" is subjective. On that note, consider not contradicting yourself. We have not released news on version 3.1, yet you want it; you're asking for it in this last post. Will you then do your continual posting that it's not released in any reasonable timeframe according to your standard as you so often do? Thanks for your interest.

Southwest definitely had some funky setups: See here. Not sure if this was a cost save issue, or something to do with the lack of extra glass on their panels and how steam instruments integrated into systems. More shots of funky MCP's here.

No! We really want this done right, and it's seriously almost there. This product is really something else. I know the whole team is excited for you all to get your hands on it, but I am especially excited. The level of immersion it creates is rather stunning...something I've never experienced in any add-on for any flight sim before, and it comes together at multiple angles...sounds, systems, ease of controls, flight model...it really is a work of art. Just hang in there. The wait has definitely yielded something spectacular, and waiting just a little longer will only make it that much better!
