  1. Yes, it does. It only looks different as it does it, simply because the rendering method for each is different. We're not making this up guys. I've seen it plenty with my own eyes.
  2. Not a single one. Wish I could say yes so that I could assist you further on this one!
  3. In other words...learn to do a manual start up and all will be well.
  4. Quite likely you are crossing a DSF boundary and because you have real weather enabled this is the source. Not much we can do here on that one for the time being. X-Plane clouds would re-load and essentially do the same here as well (except instead of fade, they would be more abrupt).
  5. We have nothing to do this this, actually, as we are not a weather injection plugin and these settings are not written to in any form or fashion. Yes, sounds like the switch is causing constant change for you, which means pauses. Perhaps an X-Plane prefs dump is in order for you, or another weather plug-in is interfering (NOAA or similar?).
  6. Great! Let us know how you like it, AJ.
  7. Sorry, but I'm not sure we'll support this. As it stands SkyMaxx DOES save a settings file for you to prevent you from having to keep doing this. If you are using additional third party software like this which somehow manipulates this feature (even if on accident), I'm not sure what to say. Perhaps you should not use them for SkyMaxx.
  8. What do you mean by reload the plugins?
  9. To put it short, the answer is no. We do appreciate the enthusiasm though.
  10. Yes and no. It requires a special API call and would be a major performance hit.
  11. Don't default clouds do this? Are you running with real weather? This would not come from SkyMaxx Pro. Weather patterning is dictated by the X-Plane weather generator. The only way you'd see something like this in the future is if a professional weather injection product came to market. In other words, SkyMaxx Pro is already capable of doing this, but it only renders what X-Plane tells it to. It's X-Plane that cannot yet do this properly. Thanks!
  12. Hey, guys, One more thing to add on top of all of this... I realize that everyone seems to have really fantastic FPS in version 1.1, and as such it's really, really easy to keep the settings at a very high setting with little to no impact. That said, in real weather conditions this may actually be contributing to this problem even more for you! This length of this pause will also depend on how many cloud puffs need to be generated to fulfill the conditions specified. So, if you've cranked up your draw distance and detail settings, set "overcast" to the max quality, and an overcast layer pops in - that's an insane amount of puffs, and it will take awhile to place them and upload their vertices to the GPU. For those of you reporting very long pauses in real weather situations, what are your current settings? This is a trade off that you ultimately have control over. To some degree, you can think of this pause as the price you pay for it being so detailed and fast at runtime, and this is why during a sim session when clouds are loaded you have faster FPS than default clouds. We will continue to look at optimizing this, but in doing so, if we figure out a way, it may come at a cost of losing FPS as you fly.
  13. The updater you use when Laminar releases a new version of X-Plane.
  14. Hi, there, This sounds as though the plugin may not have properly restored clouds as it's intended to prior to your exit of X-Plane. We'll look into this, but in the meantime if you're in dire need to run 32-bit simply run the X-Plane updater prior to launching 32-bit.
  15. This makes me think you have another uninstaller hanging around. Do you have a DC-3 unintsaller potentially present in your default X-Plane folder as well?
  16. See reply in other thread.
  17. Jim, Go into your X-Plane/X-Aviation folder and delete the DC3 uninstaller.
  18. ...But you're not. 1.2 is not current.
  19. If you're getting that error you're definitely not up to date.
  20. Hi, Laura, Yes, you can re-load them at a later time so long as you save them and call them up by routing. This is also covered in the manual!
  21. Great! Not a problem.
  22. Yes, they work in HDR. Make sure they are actually marked as "ON" in the preferences checkbox, as well as with the slider turned up. Uninstalling was the proper way to go, and it's okay to keep those sky colors as is.
  23. Hi, As the manual states, importing of standard .fms plans is not possible with this aircraft.
  24. Please re-run the DC-3 installer. I have re-uploaded some core files, and the installer should auto-download these to get you back up to date.
  25. I believe I have found the issue for this. Please re-run the DC-3 installer. This will force it to re-download latest components, and update what I believe to be the missing module.
