I don't care about location as long as the airport is good. If I'm going to pay for a single airport, I want it to be really high quality. I wouldn't be able to make the decision unless I saw shot of it first...

This is the exact reason why we have kept delaying it after saying "it'll be ready by the end of the month". We honestly don't want to delay it, but whenever we see something new, we ask whether we can code it. If we can, then we do it. Even the little details that are almost insignificant but add that touch of realism that is noticeable. Case in point, Duchess Transponder light. Believe me when I tell you, we hate delaying this aircraft. But we want to do it right. From the flight model, 3D modelling, texturing, programming and even the documentation (247 pages and counting). I won't list what has been coded yet (believe me, it's a lot) but I will when we finish it. Have we raised the bar? I can safely say, yes. All I'll say is it's not long to go. With a rather simple aircraft like the Saab taking this long to catch every detail, I can't imagine what the 747 will be like for you guys. ;D Good luck!!!

People should read or skim the manual before asking questions though.

The MU-2 was the aircraft that really got me into other X-Aviation products. I never thought the MU-2 would get better, but looking at the progress, it has gotten SO much better!!!! :P The new textures and details in the cockpit make it look like a real airplane. ;D

Yeah... the NW livery will always be one of my favorites on that bird. A close second is the pre-Continental UA scheme, though. Love the blues for some reason I like the NW one also.

A little bit of coding is left. Maybe a day or 2 worth of work. I'm still doing the manuals. I wasn't happy with the format of the originals so I started them again. But not from scratch. I took all the parts of the original manual and put them into the new format. Still working on charts and different descriptions of the charts and flying conditions (100+ pages...fun reading). I'll be doing another 3 manuals on each area of flying. Takeoff, Cruise and Approach & Landing and then fix up the checklists. All that shouldn't take me more than a couple of days. It sounds pretty close!!!! ;D ;D ;D Thanks for re-doing the manuals to make them better. This will probably be the first plane in X-Plane that I learn completely from start-up, to take off, to cruise, and to approach and shutdown. Good luck on the manuals and good luck, Theo, on the coding....

You should try it. I started flying them about two months ago and I'm very glad I did it. After just a few hours, I had developed a feel for it. After you understand how it works, you realize that it's not much harder to fly than a plane. If you're going to do it, then do it right. Get the Dreamfoil 206, or the BK-117. Warning: you will get frustrated at first....

Much agreed. What makes this aircraft really fun outside of some of the more unique programmed systems is the need to be around and actually DO something while you fly. Yes, it has autopilot, but you need to watch those waypoints along the way! The RMI becomes your friend. Yeah, I'm tired of punching in a few buttons and letting the plane do the rest.

A Garmin would be great, but then you wouldn't get a very precise Saab 340A simulation.

Wow, nice! Those cockpit images show off a lot of details. The waiting is painful, but in a way it's kind of fun depending on how you look at it. Good luck on finishing her up. I don't see any markings on the upper half of the back up artificial horizon. Are you re-doing those?
