  2. Our goal with SkyMaxx Pro will definitely be to get it working in VR at some point. I do have an Oculus here in the office, but we have a couple of things to clear off our plate before we investigate this topic further. We'll definitely post more information on it as we start to examine what's going on and what we can do for VR users!

  3. I just wanted to chime to try to give VR support some more weight. I took the VR plunge as soon as XP11.20vr1 was out and there is really no way of going back to non-VR for me. Realizing that SMP4 was not VR-compatible was disappointing although not totally surprising. However, reading the comments in this thread had me worried a bit regarding the official stance towards VR. I realize it's very early on and it might be a "niche" now but IMO it is foreseeable that the general adoption in the flightsim sector will continue to grow substantially - once you've experienced it it is hard to believe otherwise, especially if you're into flightsimming mainly for leisure and fun. Just as an indicator: There have been 722 posts in the newly created topic VR in X-Plane 11 alone on x-plane.org since January 2nd...

  4. The IXEG team uses Gizmo as the engine underneath their systems. There are some things they're dependent on me to add support for. At this time it is simply not possible to create a pop-out window of any kind using Gizmo. As this year (2018) progresses we will probably see support for this added. After Gizmo has the ability to create pop-able windows it will be upto IXEG to modify their scripts to utilize the new functionality. As for the cockpit builder market, you're in an incredibly small niche within a niche. Time and resources must be dedicated to the largest possible audience to generate a viable and sustainable return. Add the growing VR market into the mix and things get even more "fun".

  5. For any who might be interested the problem is solved. It was due to corruption in my IXEG install. Automatic reinstalling didn't fix it. I had to manually remove it from my drive and do a clean install. Win 10 may well have caused it. Who knows.

  6. It's not so much that the installers in general are a nightmare, but the backstory is that the Saab installer was originally coded in 2013 and at the time was our most advanced installer code to leverage some attempted load balancing on the server, as well as keeping track of file differences and updates. At the time it seemed like a great idea, but in reality it was a terrible idea that I didn't see coming as time progressed. Keeping track of all these variants and the file updates between them, as well as the many gigabytes of data became tedious in the way the installer is coded, and it caused headaches not only for distribution, but also for people like Goran when we would discover some files were not properly updated between variants at update release times. Over the years new installer formats have been developed because of this. Products like IXEG, the MU-2, and pretty much any other recent release contains the more up-to-date installer routines. The Saab needs some love to move to this system so we can future proof release delays going forward on it. At the moment it's not top priority over a couple of other projects that are first in line, but as soon as those are out of the way the focus will switch to this and bringing it all up to speed. We need to leverage our time spent on projects appropriately to balance business cash flow for all involved. We'll get there, just not yet.

  7. It's moving forward. Slowly, but surely. I actually spoke to Cameron yesterday, and asked him what was involved in making an installer for the Saab, and his response was something to the effect of "An installer for an update like this is a nightmare!" I'm guessing it's because of the 3 different variants and all the liveries. Those were the factors that caused so many headaches when we first put it out. It's getting closer. When we know for sure, we'll make a post about it.

  8. I don´t have the FF320, but what I have seen in the videos is absolutely amazing. I fly the A320 family in real life (for 5 years now) and I haven´t seen anything "wrong" in those videos. I can´t comment on the flight-model, but it is certainly a day-one-buy for me! Thanks for the kind words about our 737 - I can assure you that work is ongoing. Just yesterday we have fixed a bug about the pressurization - now it won´t be possible to pressurize the aircraft if any of the cargo doors is open. And of course - if a cargo door pops open in flight (failure simulation some day...) -> rapid decompression. Also fixed the cargo door compartment only being lit if the ground service bus is carrying power... Cheers, Jan

  9. I'm not going to argue. I'm simply saying that even the dreaded Austin at X-Plane offers a demo! Maybe you should consider it. That way you'd have much closer to 100% satisfied buyers and a better reputation - in exchange for marginally less income.
