It kinda looks like the southern Rio Grande valley. Would the urban areas be El Paso? Or maybe New Mexico, the river pouring into the lake look kinda like Elephant Butte. Living in Albuquerque, I know New Mexico.

Not this one. Look closer on the night screens, there is a third lateral runway, in addition to two parallel ones. Also the shapes of roads and placement of buildings are different. Let me only get back home and fire up Simplates ;)

Not a surprise, you already said this area would be included in NorCal.

You can't take away from my achievement in identifying the right area darn you! I've never even been to Reno! Alright alright, so all it took was booting up google earth to confirm my suspicions but still...

Congrats Hobofat! Good detective work, especially by someone who doesn't live near the area. As discussed in another post, the Reno area is a logical extension to the NorCal scenery. However, it will be sold as a separate product. NorCal only includes imagery within the state of California. Reno is a really fun area to fly around and the imagery contains the entire Reno metro area as well as Carson City, the Capital of the state of Nevada. I've included imagery for the entire 1 degree x 1 degree DSF, so there are several smaller airports included as well in the beautiful desert areas to the north and west of the metro areas.

The official gallery for the "Biggest Little City in the World" is now available. Great mix of both urban and beautiful desert scenery with a nice variety of airports.

See if you can find the big letter "C" and with the American flag on the mountain above Carson City, the capital of the state of Nevada.  8)

Until the scenery is released, enjoy this preview!

Official Reno & Carson City scenery video now available!

This Reno video is HD and also available on the iPhone/iPad. You can also visit the Vimeo site here and download the video to watch locally on your own computer. I think you'll find it's well worth it.

Enjoy!
