sundog Posted January 18, 2015 Report Posted January 18, 2015 As far as the location of Sky Maxx Pro and Urban Max, where should they be? SkyMaxx Pro does not need to go into your custom scenery list at all. It's a plugin, not scenery. Quote
Cameron Posted January 18, 2015 Report Posted January 18, 2015 Breaking News as CNN would say if you haven't seen this. Not even close to what you're experiencing. Quote
brucie1dog Posted January 18, 2015 Report Posted January 18, 2015 (edited) I am not to embarrassed to ask for help. If anyone wants to earn some money (Pay Pal) by coming on to my system and straightening out the mess I have? I noticed after changing the rendering options a bit the scenery is doing some heavy flickering. Edited January 18, 2015 by brucie1dog Quote
Jose Almeida Posted January 18, 2015 Report Posted January 18, 2015 Hi, Your custom scenery list suggests problems; surely, SkyMaxx Pro, urbanmaxx and UrbanMaxx Extreme are not scenery but I suspect part 1, 2, ... may not be scenery as well; the remaining packages may be scenery but, given the previous examples, I think they may all need to be inspected. But there's worse. Some items in your custom scenery are actually plugins and this suggests there may be serious problems with your plugins, as well. SkyMaxx Pro, for one, comes with an installer and it should have ended up in it's right location; the installer should have done that; in short, I think your whole installation needs a complete overhaul. I see you are ready to pay for that job but sincerely I don't know anybody who would be ready to do that; I guess you would have better luck going for a completely new installation with step by step instructions that you could probably get for free. brucie1dog Posted January 19, 2015 Report Posted January 19, 2015 (edited) Jose, I did a clean installation a couple of weeks ago. I moved Sky Maxx to plugins todays. Urban Maxx says it should be in Custom Scenery?. Is your Urban Maxx in the plugins? What other items in Custom Scenery did you see that should be moved to plugins? Thank You!Andy Edited January 19, 2015 by brucie1dog Quote
JohnMAXX Posted January 19, 2015 Report Posted January 19, 2015 URBANMAXX is custom scenery and should be in the custom scenery folder Quote
Jose Almeida Posted January 19, 2015 Report Posted January 19, 2015 URBANMAXX is custom scenery and should be in the custom scenery folder Hi, I stand corrected. I thought it was textures. Quote
ArtFlyer Posted January 27, 2015 Report Posted January 27, 2015 Hello SkyMaxx Would the following XP10.3+ crash be caused by insufficient VRAM ? sundog Posted January 28, 2015 Report Posted January 28, 2015 Would the following XP10.3+ crash be caused by insufficient VRAM ? Yes, that could be why. Quote
ArtFlyer Posted January 29, 2015 Report Posted January 29, 2015 Yes, that could be why. Thanks for your fast response. I had a feeling it was a VRAM deficit causing the problem related to the very demanding FF752 in HDR. Cheers,Bruce Quote
sundog Posted January 29, 2015 Report Posted January 29, 2015 I recently found a way to reduce SkyMaxx Pro's VRAM usage a bit - hopefully it will help users who are tight on it with our next update. Quote
Jose Almeida Posted January 30, 2015 Report Posted January 30, 2015 Hi, Glad to hear that. I am out of VRAM sometimes and every little bit helps. José Quote
ArtFlyer Posted January 30, 2015 Report Posted January 30, 2015 Yes I agree with Jose. Right on the VRAM cusp with HDR & the B752 - it only takes nightfall to arrive and we know the next bit ?...! Quote
heavylift Posted November 5, 2016 Report Posted November 5, 2016 I'd like to know when SMP will be made compatible with OS Sierra. In your correspondence you have indicated that I made the mistake in doing the update to Sierra. Seems you could at least suggest an fix or a timeline for an update. I thought Skymaxx response to my query was quite poor. Quote
