After taking a break, I wanted to install one of my X-Aviation aircraft, the DA 40NG. This can only be done using an installer. I can enter my email address there, but nothing else! As a result, I get an error message: “You need to specify a value!”

What should I do now? I’ve tried every possible screen resolution, but no second input field appears! I’m stuck for now! I have at least four other products from X-Aviation.

Stefan, I can see the installation popup is over-scaled.  So there is definitely an issue.

Try any or all of these to confirm.
Settings > Accessibility > Text size. Drag the slider back to the default (100%) and click Apply.

Settings > System > Display > Scale, then select Advanced scaling settings if it’s shown. Make sure the custom value is 100%, or click the option to reset it.

Press Windows key + Plus (+) to see if the Magnifier is on. If it zooms the screen, press Windows key + Esc to turn it off.

Check Settings > Accessibility (Windows 11) or Ease of Access (Windows 10) for Magnifier or Narrator being enabled.

Intel, NVIDIA, and AMD control panels have their own scaling options that can override Windows, sometimes for specific apps or displays.

Open your graphics control panel and look under display or scaling settings and set scaling to the default or “Preserve aspect ratio” with no custom scaling. Changes here may be per display.

Check the installer’s compatibility settings (right-click, Properties, Compatibility, Change high DPI settings). If the override is set to a high-DPI value, text can look larger than expected.

Hi Goran,

Thank you very much for the detailed help. After changing the font size to 100%, I was able to see both input fields and complete the installation. The RSG DA40NG is recognized, and no activation is required in X-Plane. However, the assignments I set up on my Honeycomb Bravo Throttle are being ignored. Neither the battery switch works, nor can I turn on the avionics. Should I start a new thread about this?

Definitely.  It needs to go in the dedicated DA40 forums.
It'll be seen much quicker and dealt with, promptly.
