Goran_M Posted September 17, 2012 Report Posted September 17, 2012 (edited) I use the word "dump" more times than I care to remember. I tell Theo many times "We're dumping the original mesh and redoing it". "I want to dump your texture maps and you need to re-do them".I tell Jim "We might need to dump that section of code and you might have to re-code it"I thought you were "dumping" the 787 in favor of the Fokker. Goran_M Posted September 17, 2012 Report Posted September 17, 2012 You said the 787 has been "rooted"."Rooted" down here means, broken beyond repair or, in the case of someone saying "I'm completely rooted", utterly exhausted.
Jordan P. Posted September 17, 2012 Report Posted September 17, 2012 How did you do the high quality paints is there some how I can learn?
Hampster Posted September 17, 2012 Report Posted September 17, 2012 In what type of software? Chang uses many textures for minute details (I praise him for his time, gosh that must be hard work), but in planemaker it's a bit different....
Michael_Chang Posted September 17, 2012 Author Report Posted September 17, 2012 You said the 787 has been "rooted"."Rooted" down here means, broken beyond repair or, in the case of someone saying "I'm completely rooted", utterly exhausted.oh lol, i meant like it has taken root in this forum XD as in it's been placed here and it has gotten a base now XDalso, hampster, I just place a transparent object over top of the actual fuselage, you can see how it's done
Michael_Chang Posted September 17, 2012 Author Report Posted September 17, 2012 the four finished liveries so farAir India and ANA are getting tweaked and will be done soon. ANA's domestic configuration will also be released soonChina southern does NOT yet have an interior, Air India's interior is almost done
Hampster Posted September 19, 2012 Report Posted September 19, 2012 also, hampster, I just place a transparent object over top of the actual fuselage, you can see how it's done Ah, very smart, I'll try that next time!
AnonymousUser68 Posted September 20, 2012 Report Posted September 20, 2012 The 3d pit looks very nice. Are there plans for a Qantas livery?
Peter T. Posted September 20, 2012 Report Posted September 20, 2012 of course, he said he will do almost all the airlines
Michael_Chang Posted September 21, 2012 Author Report Posted September 21, 2012 The 3d pit looks very nice. Are there plans for a Qantas livery?Well, if qantas unveils their 787 livery, then yes, i'll paint it, but i can only make a livery after the airline reveals their paint, because otherwise i might miss details that are not shown in renders 1
Michael_Chang Posted September 22, 2012 Author Report Posted September 22, 2012 more shots of the pit, changed some wall textures and added grates and compartments 1
Jordan P. Posted September 22, 2012 Report Posted September 22, 2012 The cockpit auto pilot section looks really good!

i<3xplane10 Posted October 1, 2012 Report Posted October 1, 2012 This will be my new favorite freeware : D 2
nascar99 Posted October 3, 2012 Report Posted October 3, 2012 I think its pretty obvious that this will be the best freeware ever released for X-Plane! 1
eaglewing7 Posted October 3, 2012 Report Posted October 3, 2012 I think its pretty obvious that this will be the best freeware ever released for X-Plane!Only time will tell how well refined this project actually is. Needless to say, from what I've seen, there are other freeware aircraft out there of much higher quality.

IDK and for certain areas, they're unbeatable, but i will try my best
