Japo32 Posted December 10, 2009 Report Posted December 10, 2009 Second video of the CRJ-200. This time Engine starts: Vimeo one, if you want to download the original one (only a number of days...)[vimeo]8104103[/vimeo] Quote
StevenM Posted December 10, 2009 Report Posted December 10, 2009 It looks really, really good. Amazing that you can make such a plane with just 2 people in a fairly short time. I was ready an example of a new 757 for FSX (QualityWings) and they need (iirc) 8+ people. So either X-Plane development is very simple, or FSX development is very complex or you are just very good. dan Posted December 10, 2009 Report Posted December 10, 2009 OMG, this is increadible! Austin is going to be in such a big debt to you when this baby drives sales of new copies of X-Plane through the roof when all those MSFS users come flocking over to check out this awesome aircraft! ;DBtw, what kind of nav-data source will the FMS require? Rafael Fernandez Posted December 11, 2009 Report Posted December 11, 2009 Alright, to be honest Javier and antov this is the most amazing thing I have ever seen. Better than omfg captain sim cls wilco you name it . You may have the highest quality aircraft in the history Of flight simulation on your hands. Every single tiny detail programmer and modelled I wish I could find a programmer so talented. You two worked your asses off and trust me it will pay off Quote
Zach Decou Posted December 11, 2009 Report Posted December 11, 2009 TheoGregory posted a topic on the org about an hour ago with links to these videos and wip threads. It's still there!http://forums.x-plane.org/index.php?showtopic=42489&pid=471155&st=0&#entry471155What balls. Quote
Airbus Posted December 11, 2009 Report Posted December 11, 2009 I was told not to post links regarding x-pilot at xplane.org seems like thats changed! I cant wait to buy this thing, I'm not into airliners but this CRJ has my credit card numbers written all over it! Quote
MatthewS Posted December 11, 2009 Report Posted December 11, 2009 Cool video! Seems like the pilot was in a real rush to line up. Quote
Jim Kallinen Posted December 11, 2009 Report Posted December 11, 2009 Its only a matter of time before Nicholas discovers the post and deletes it. Plus ban the poster. > But it sure has gathered a lot of attention. ;D Quote

Angry But it sure has gathered a lot of attention. GrinI'm not so sure about that Jim. This situation is but a scratch on the surface of what's going on in the background. Nicolas owns the domain x-plane.org, but we own the community...and if the org is the xplane community, then we are it. If things continue the way they have been, there will be a major shakeup soon enough. In my opinion, org management needs to regroup and adopt a business strategy that works with the times. Quote
Wynthorpe Posted December 11, 2009 Report Posted December 11, 2009 My post has been deleted though it looks like! So ive reposted it -This is just what X-Plane needs lets see how long it lasts or before i get banned! Quote

Shane Posted December 14, 2009 Report Posted December 14, 2009 Looks great!!!!! The only thing I would change would be the visual model (externally) for the pilots. They look a little too small in the cockpit when viewed from the outside. For reference:http://www.airliners.net/photo/Delta-Connection-(Comair)/Canadair-CL-600-2B19-Regional/1214666/L/&sid=63cecf414035104a98153d275dd9bd15http://www.airliners.net/photo/Lufthansa-Regional-(Lufthansa/Canadair-CL-600-2B19-Regional/1530130/L/&sid=63cecf414035104a98153d275dd9bd15http://www.airliners.net/photo/NWA-Airlink-(Mesaba/Canadair-CL-600-2B19-Regional/1486342/L/&sid=63cecf414035104a98153d275dd9bd15http://www.airliners.net/photo/Adria-Airways/Canadair-CL-600-2B19-Regional/1505274/L/&sid=63cecf414035104a98153d275dd9bd15Thanks for your hard work! YYZatcboy Posted December 14, 2009 Report Posted December 14, 2009 Out of curiosity, what scenery are you using? Quote
Japo32 Posted December 15, 2009 Author Report Posted December 15, 2009 In this case, Sola airport. A free norway x-plane scenery that I don't remember where I download it. Quote
Wynthorpe Posted December 15, 2009 Report Posted December 15, 2009 You can get it here Finest scenery available IMO Quote
dan Posted December 15, 2009 Report Posted December 15, 2009 That's kind of you Simon, but the more I look at it the more I want rip it apart and start all over. I'm sure it can be done better than this, and if I had time for it, I probably would... Right now I've a hard enough time getting my next scenery out the door, let alone doing a take two of this one... : Btw, have you made any progress lately with your own scenery? Quote

Also i added some other buildings, vehicles and night lighting all around the roads around the area just to have a play (adds to atmosphere at night) and i really like it on app onto R18 at night Ive nto done a lot really, paid wuite a bit of money for the orphophoto image and modelled a lot of the airport but texturing i havent got the hang of and its really put me off, im sure i'll pick up again over Christmas, just need to not let it get the better of me really! Quote
dan Posted December 15, 2009 Report Posted December 15, 2009 Yes getting UV maps and texturing right can be a PITA to be honest... but if I could do it anybody can Quote
