steven winslow Posted June 28, 2012 Report Posted June 28, 2012 (edited) It's here! The Carenado Caravan is available at www.carenado.com ! She's a beauty! I've already got a few hours in her and I am in love! Go get her! Edited June 28, 2012 by steven winslow Quote
edwin Posted June 28, 2012 Report Posted June 28, 2012 Any other firm selling this yet (Apart from The org.) as Carenado only deal with Credit Cards??? & I don't deal with the Org. Quote
steven winslow Posted June 28, 2012 Author Report Posted June 28, 2012 If you want it now, you have to buy through Carenado direct (which really is the best way to buy for all kinds of reasons) for the first week or so. Then it is released to all other retail outlets, like:http://www.fspilotshop.com/index.php?manufacturers_id=127&ref=1&gclid=CP222cvq8bACFalgTAodIgPqxQhttp://www.justflight.com/category/flight-sim-add-ons/light-aircraft/carenado-rangehttp://www.simpilot.com/servlet/the-Carenado-cln-X-dsh-Plane-9-and-10/Categories Quote
edwin Posted June 28, 2012 Report Posted June 28, 2012 Thanks Steve appreciated. Love Cessnas but anyplane turned out by Carenado is a must for me.They are one of the few companies that 'only' accept Credit Cards--most others accept Visa Debit or Paypal which is direct, costs nowt & shows up on the Bank details instantaneously. I've queried them about it but never got a response. Have to wait--Cheers Quote
bminton Posted June 29, 2012 Report Posted June 29, 2012 The Grand Caravan is awesome and worth the wait if you prefer not to buy from Carenado. Between this and STMA's new Otter the other planes in my hanger will be gathering dust for a while. Got the paint cans out Steve? Quote
steven winslow Posted June 29, 2012 Author Report Posted June 29, 2012 (edited) LOL! Funny you should ask! In fact, I've been working on a livery for the Caravan this afternoon. Should be ready by the weekend.I'll tell you this, though, she's not an easy one to paint! A lot more complex than anything I've ever attempted! Edited June 29, 2012 by steven winslow Quote
edwin Posted June 29, 2012 Report Posted June 29, 2012 Will have to wait. Just been bush flying another Carenado favorite of mine the C185F Skywagon low level following the Valley's 89WA-6S9-KS10 quite awesome flying with light cloud. Love that region & up into Canada except when the weather suddenly turns (I always fly Real Weather) and you find yourself having to fly a couple of hundred feet above and following a river. Challenging to say the least--Cheers Quote

steven winslow Posted June 29, 2012 Author Report Posted June 29, 2012 Dude! There are two FedEx C208's parked at my hometown airport, KBZN, every weekend. I'm heading out there this Sunday with my camera and the FedEx livery is high on my list. However, most of the FedEx Caravan's don't have windows. DHL Caravans, on the other hand, do have windows. Expect a DHL livery sometime, too. And an Island Air from Cape Cod, too. I have lots of ideas for this one! Quote
PWJT8D Posted June 29, 2012 Report Posted June 29, 2012 Definitely would want an Era Alaska livery for this one as well. What a great addition to X-Plane this aircraft is. Quote
steven winslow Posted June 29, 2012 Author Report Posted June 29, 2012 Find me some pics of the Era Alaska livery! I've googled and come up with minimal results. Quote

mutestyles Posted June 30, 2012 Report Posted June 30, 2012 (edited) There is a Fedex paint just download it from carenados website and convert it over. Also the Era alaska livery from FSX looks great in x plane ten. Both Eras in fact. Edited June 30, 2012 by mutestyles Quote

MdMax Posted July 1, 2012 Report Posted July 1, 2012 (edited) It's an awesome plane ! On my GNU/Linux system, I have a 3D sound problem, so I disabled these sounds in the lua script. I hope there will be an official patch for this.On the last picture, you can see a formation flying with the Carenado Mooney. It was their first add-on for X-Plane. Edited July 1, 2012 by MdMax Quote
bminton Posted July 2, 2012 Report Posted July 2, 2012 For the sound problems, follow this link...http://forums.x-plane.org/index.php?showtopic=60026&st=10Scroll down to Dan Klaue's post and download the Archive.zip file he posted. I didn't have a problem, but from the thread it sounds like this solves the sound issue. Hope it works for you. 1 Quote
