Hi, i'm having issues with X-plane 9.

Some of the aircraft i've installed don't work. I would particularly like to get the x737 project working but it comes up with be advised theres a file missing or the whole aircraft is missing.

At the moment i've killed X-Plane allthogether and get a ... Be advised udp_socket_read udp_init failed!

(inet.cpp line 1196)

Havent a clue! But was enjoying flying concorde when it was working. Then it got too slow to play, even with all the rendering options switched off. Usually works great!

Hi, Civvy,

Welcome to X-Pilot!

Can you please specify whether you are trying this with the version of X-Plane that came off of the X-Plane DVD, or with the latest updated version from the web?

If you only just installed X-Plane directly from the DVDs, then you'll need to download the free updater and run it. You can obtain it here: http://x-plane.com/pg_downloads.html

Thank-you! I hadn't installed the update because it wouldn't let me.

I've since re-installed X-plane and updated it and now have X737!

Would you recommend any specific downloads to improve performance?

Not sure if its my desktop, it meets the minimum spec but keeps freezing, the mouse pointer goes static.

If your computer doesn't start sometimes, then you might have a serious problem with your OS. You may have to run a "repair" on it, or, as I prefer to do, do a clean format and reinstall of your OS.

mobo bios , power supply. More causes. Even a dying video card will do this. Know it from experience just like that.
