MaidenFan Posted May 10, 2011 Report Posted May 10, 2011 Is anybody running the CRJ with this graphics card? I want to know if the CRJ even supports it because I'm probably going to buy an iMac equipped with one of those. Quote
philipp Posted May 10, 2011 Report Posted May 10, 2011 As you already own the CRJ, why don't you put your CRJ-equipped X-Plane installation on a USB-pendrive and go to your nearest Apple store and try it out yourself?Philipp Quote
MaidenFan Posted May 10, 2011 Author Report Posted May 10, 2011 I doubt they would let me just put X-Plane on one of their computers and run it up...The card would probably work anyway, but it never hurts to be safe Quote

Ben Russell Posted May 11, 2011 Report Posted May 11, 2011 The official Australian Apple Store nearest where I live has boxed copies X-Plane on the shelf for purchase. Quote

I want to know if the CRJ even supports it because I'm probably going to buy an iMac equipped with one of those.I'm running it with an ATI Radeon HD 5650M and it works. Can't say I get fantastic frames, but it definitely runs. Sitting on the ground in fair weather with default scenery and avionics turned on I'm hitting 19-28 fps depending on location. Quote
Redfisher Posted May 11, 2011 Report Posted May 11, 2011 I'm running the 5750 (I think). imacs are great but the CRJ puts it to the test!! I didn't know imacs had cpu fans. Quote
Cameron Posted May 14, 2011 Report Posted May 14, 2011 Perry,I've just tested the CRJ with the HD 6750M on the Macbook Pro 15.4 inch. It's a 1GB graphics card, and the configuration I tested on is here:2.2GHz quad-core Intel Core i74GB 1333MHz750GB 5400-rpm1Intel HD Graphics 3000AMD Radeon HD 6750M with 1GB GDDR5With the above setup, X-Plane and the CRJ with extreme res settings runs at a solid 70 fps, incredibly smooth avionics, and wonderful textures. Do you think my avionics would be smooth with a quad core i5 and the 6750 with 512 MB? Or would I need a gig of VRAM? Quote
