louism Posted April 3, 2020 Report Posted April 3, 2020 (edited) At the end of the download process the installer pops a message saying: Unable to download component Douglas DC3: Component file version does not match. (abort) (retry) (ignore) I retried and the same error pops again. Any guidance please? Thanks! Edited April 3, 2020 by louism Get image out of middle of post...
Goran_M Posted April 7, 2020 Report Posted April 7, 2020 I've notified Cameron about this. He should have an answer for you as soon as he's available.

Goran_M Posted April 11, 2020 Report Posted April 11, 2020 Please contact X-Aviation support for this issue. 1
lupedelupe Posted April 14, 2020 Report Posted April 14, 2020 Reported via X-Aviation support. Have since tried an older installer I had on external drive (same version number I think), which gave some errors concerning the inability to copy 3/4 DLLs from Gizmo but did ultimately install the DC3. One minor issue discovered during short test: cannot open cockpit/cabin door (the hotspot is there, it can be clicked, it moves but the door stays shut). In short: yep, much be an installer issue.
louism Posted April 15, 2020 Author Report Posted April 15, 2020 I finally got an email saying my ticket was created 3 to 4 days ago. But still no news from support. Did anyone get the problem solved? Thanks!
Goran_M Posted April 22, 2020 Report Posted April 22, 2020 If you received a response, you should get an email from support shortly. It depends on how busy it is. Keeping mind, with self quarantine going on, a lot more people are home and flying X-Plane.
Webbe Posted April 25, 2020 Report Posted April 25, 2020 I also have the same problem, i thought i was doing something wrong so i reinstalled like 10 times but good to know its not me!
Cameron Posted April 26, 2020 Report Posted April 26, 2020 @Skymatix @louism @lupedelupe @Webbe This was a really tough one to track down. After running several variants of Windows, I think I've finally found what was causing this. New installers are now up for Windows on the server. Please re-download and try again. This was not affecting all Windows users, and affected no Mac users. 2
Webbe Posted April 26, 2020 Report Posted April 26, 2020 Thank you very much, looking forward to flying it. @Cameron
