Lets face it you cant keep making addons for a product that has been dead for a couple of years I have been waiting for certain updates and it seems like they are never going to come . I guess what the die hard fsx and fs9 fans are worried about is that once the top end companies make the jump the majority will follow and msfs will fade away.

I dont believe AMD has FXAA settings .

actually I find that of tthe three Carenados I own for Xplane The Cessna 152 II is the most FPS friendly . And Toms Falco is about equal and yes Jasons Pipers have Great FPS but Are lacking alot of the details

It still shows as beta10.04-1 but It downloaded about 165 mbs of what looked like scenery updates one of the files was actually the spaceneedle in seattle

Just ran the updater and downloaded the latest beta

Chris Im dizzy and its your fault Just downloaded your Christchurch scenery From the Org .I spent about 20 minutes circleing over the Airport not believing what I was seeing . This is definatly one of the most realistic sceneries that I have scene . It should become the standard to which all future scenery is compared . I had tried the Beta so when I saw you had posted it at the org I had to download it . Thanks Larry

I do not own the bonanza but I do have the Cessna 152 ,172 and the ArcherII for Xplane and The Mooney for FSX They are all well done aircraft The Cessna 152 II being my favorite out of the bunch , If you are looking for a great single GA aircraft with some performance though I would recomend Toms Falco . This is my favorite sim aircraft that I have ever flown . Its only $18.00 and available here at Xaviation . I believe Tom has some future updates planned for it to . Larry

Me to actually one nice thing about the thrustmaster stick is the 12 button on the base I have assigned three on the right as left trim up center trim take off and right as trim down. If for some reason you mess up setting the trim just hit the center button and start over

Jim I have had this for a few weeks now and I am still happy with it I reminds me of a microsoft Sidewinder I have had a few of them and am wondering if Thrustmaster built the Sidewinders for Microsoft .

Clouds have always been a performance killer Not only with Xplane but FS9 and FSX etc also . I think when you look at games most of them are just being played in local maps . but with flight simulators you are continuously flying into a continuosly changing horizon based on reality . This is why if you fly out over the Ocean or climb into a blue sky your frame rates increase as your GPU is only dealingwith a few textures . but throw in thousands of constantly changing Puff balls AKA clouds and autogen buildings, trees , ground textures that are constantly changeing in size you will realize that a flight simulator is probably one of the most intense application out there.

I am getting 30+ FPS with the following system AMD Phenom II X6 1090T 3.2GHz 16 gigs DDR3 ram XFX HD6790 Graphics Card with the settings attached and no clouds but performance drops alot when I kick in clouds . You state that your friend was running a 4970 card but this card does not seem to exist are you sure that you did not mean the 4870? what driver is he using if its is still 11.12 get him to update to 12.1 driver as the 11.12 driver had very poor performance

I have the Graphsim version of Xplane 9 and they are supposed to supply customer service for their product and you will be told that by Laminar if you try to get help from Laminar . My experience was that these people are not simmers and don't know much about their products . You get a special set of discs published by Graphsim a different color (yellow) and only the windows version. This is the first thing Laminer asks you if you call them "what color are your disks" If you say yellow they will refer you to Graphsim for ? technical support ? LOL. If you buy from X-aviation you get support from Laminar and also Cameron .

OK thought I had read in the manual or someware that you hit enter and choose menu item so I just wanted to make sure I quess I will have to read up and figure it out Thanks Cameron Larry

Is this normal anytime I hit enter a big black box comes up and the only menu item is file flight plan is this correct?

OMG looks like 747's at Delta Airpark Use to hang out there. My Dad kept his Volksplane there and the biggest thing I ever saw was the goodyear blimp doing a High speed flyby LOL

Yes FXAA the other setting just killed my frame rate

I do notice this when HDR is on I have found that some of them are rivers and water but others I am not sure.
