  1. Yes, he looked like he really didnt want to be there. The poor backing singer had to carry him thru most of it! Sad thing is the league paid him $600,000 for that, so he should've made some effort.
  2. Just got home & watched the Madonna mini-concert. Of course I was pretty ambivalent, most of those live gigs are crap, but WOW, what an incredible 12 minutes of live entertainment! You Yanks really know how to put on a show - you should specialise in that industry, you might do well... Oh dear, I found the video for our Australian Rules grand final from last year. Meatloaf. Imploding, live. Excruciating and embarassing to watch. Absolutely no comparison! anyone know of the best site to catch up on all the adverts? That's the most important thing, not the sport.. http://rutube.ru/tracks/4868949.html
  3. Welcome! No, most of us hate it, try Xplane 8, it's much better and runs smoother. Haha, just joking! It's great, and one of the few sims that's growing and improving, literally, every minute.
  4. Now worries Valentin. You need to create the X-Plane layer first There, that was useful, not! For xp2b to work, all the objects you want to export need to be in the very first layer of Blender, i.e. in the top left box thing in the 3D view, no. 1 out of 20. You may have, like me, accidentally put your object in box 2 etc. To move em, just highlight your object in object mode and press M. If you've got this far already, well done! It took me long enough to get the script to work. Off to cull my inbox then! S
  5. Thanks Andy. This might get confusing - I think Chris replied above, saying he'd be ok if I threw a few houses around. I'm not Florian. Then I see Charlie has been involved too. Chris or Charlie let me know if I'm butting in, I won't if you guys are already working on stuff. Just happy to get some different building practice, if you want it! If I can help, then cool. Just stalk your local neighbourhood and get some flat images of different sides of buildings/windows. Oh, and a few pics of roofs from your chartered heli? or just from a hill! I'll pm ya Andy Ta simon not Forian (or is that Simian, as a good friend once called me!)
  6. So perfect! You'll finish stuff real quick, and lose weight to boot. Then she can use your room as a sewing room. Deal done.
  7. Is the garage heated/cooled?
  8. Where is the other pic I saw you post via the email notification, the upper level condo suite? Or you've deleted it as it reveals your 'Supplied by Boeing' advanced detailed 3D model of the 747? Now we know how you get that mesh so perfect!
  9. I sympathize with that setup Goran. Hardly any room left to write notes! I have a hallway table for a desk, it's so small in depth that I roll out the drawers to support the keyboard. And every time I think of getting a 30 inch screen, I have to remind myself I couldn't fit it in anyway!
  10. You work QUICK Chris! This is where it could get fun- if Andy or u can get me some local house images, I'd love to build a set of residentials for those very closely situated houses! I can borrow your Orthos and use them to place a big variety of homes there that suit the scenery. Same with any sizeable buildings around the perimeter. I saw Aussi announce his new, bigger version of opensceneryx, might be worth checking out too. And if I ever pluck some more spare time from my A$&e, one day I'd kill to do the Auckland (whoops I meant Welly) CBd- animated cable car and trolley buses to boot! I love those taxiway textures, sweet as, eh... Let me guess, it's Hilly in that street with the zigzag path??
  11. Hmm, just searched their flights and couldn't find any to Auckland, so yes, no wonder I was excited - and those 4 engines certainly looked unusual! Ok, for the anoraks, here's the other pics I took. Auckland is certainly a great place for planespotting, being a nice 'small' size compared to Melbourne. Ah, and a traditional plane, I liked the angle but the thick viewing glass spoilt it
  12. Ok, slowly culling the hundreds of pics we took! It's a very photogenic place. NZ's main train service: Actually, a great little personal railway nearish Rotorua I almost wet my pants when I saw this at Auckland! It certainly stood out from the crowd, Russian IL96 Pete might like this one, it's a beaver on the left. Taken at Lake Taupo
  13. Ha, but that's only the externals! I bet the interior is still hollow with xplane default gauges and the plugin is almost non-existent, maybe using SASL?
  14. just saw these, fantastic G&T (good ring to that for some reason..)! Ha, and this is just the exterior. I love the smiley face livery. You know me by now - that livery looks far too new and shiny, some wear n tear pleeze? Or I'll need to learn livery editing next!
  15. Yes the aussiepak/voz install can be confusing to some, but it's all in there- Baz has done a great job, massive effort. YMML can always be improved, again it does have performance issues, although not as extreme as YSSY! It should run better in 10, as it seems to eat .objs for dinner.
  16. hehe. Those clouds still don't look real, maybe by xp12 they'll get it right!
  17. Amen to that Red! Make sure u kill those sketch up people before export, it'll save you thousands of polys. Yes, if you have a lot of buildings, get as many textures in one png as possible, and use textures to represent window frames rather than beautiful 3d modeling
  18. OMG what a strange deal. Although I suppose if u are fully informed and never need another part of the world, it's not bad. Ha, next they'll offer just one state for $5.95! Personally I think it's a bad move, watch out for hundreds of users asking or torrenting for copies of whole countries' sceneries- hopefully the drm stops that? If not, oh well, at least the addon devs will have a bigger market :-)
  19. That sounds crazy Andy. We had 20c at Picton yesterday, but it struggled, more like 18, then rained just at home time, very lucky! Geeze, out on the boat, at 12 kt or so, it was freezing, your ice was chilling our trip! I swear I'll make it to churchville next time! I can see us doing a few trips to NZ, very impressed. I brought my Fuji 3d camera, got some amazing stereo images so will post links on return. Hired a pretty new corolla hatch there. Quite a nice direct steering feel, very surprised. So I left the family and drove halfway to Havelock, caned that thing around those never ending windy coastal roads, my god it was memorable. I returned with a stupid grin on my face, hadnt driven that intensely for 2yrs, Lost my wallet, the cornering was so violent it had wedged itself under another seat somewhere. A lovely peaceful jaunt :-)
  20. Ha, how did we miss each other in such a 'small' country?! :-) Wow that south island IS darned amazing. North is great, must see, but south is off the scale gorgeous. Yesterday went on a boat tour of queen charlotte sound, a boat that could take over 100 tourists had...just us 3, talk about personal service! Back at Auckland for the last 2 nights, fluked this rather nice corner view, plenty of high res building textures to be obtained! This is just the north side, we have an unobstructed view of the east/harbor side too.
  21. Ha, they even spell the way they speak! Kewl, waiting for the ferry in gale wind conditions, should be a 3-4m swell, this'll be a hoot.
  22. Im sure she said that Chris! I'm even starting to say some thungs strangely! You'll be flying over us on the inter islander ferry to Picton, so wave! Took the over lander train from Auckland to Wellington. Seriously, one of the great train journeys of the world, stunning scenery.
  23. Damn, is it compatible with iPads? Sometimes being away from your pc sucks!
  24. Yes Cam, a nice change. No flightsim, even betterer! But traveling with a 6yo has its challenges...
  25. Saw some beautiful places in Rotorua today, real middle earth type country- went on a hunt, shot 2 hobbits and a Gollum
