I know there are plenty of fellow gameheads here, so I'll share this- couldn't believe my eyes when I went to the shopping centre today, saw this: Yeah, 3DS' everywhere for trying! Sorry, very disappointed. 3d effect very good, but boy is it hard on the eyes with that tiny screen. And if u move your eyes >0.5 inch from sweetspot, blur/cross-eye city! Yes, fail. A pity, as I like the idea, just like I loved the promise of the Virtual Boy.. Sony and Apple will be very pleased! How these things get the go ahead for production, I don't know.

Yeah, I discover X-Plane's capabilities each day. That's one of the reasons I love this sim. I'll probably make some kind of helicopter practice place with all kinds of objects later. Hey, I've decided to go to our Airshow that is held every 2 yrs. http://www.airshow.net.au/avalon2011/index.html Our 5yo first officer couldn't make it, so I wasn't going to go. But- I just heard that the F-22 Raptor is coming! So I'll go anyway. I'd go just to see that up close. I've realized that I'll enjoy it so much more now, since my xplane experiences and all the great devs' work. Ha, I'm even excited at seeing the U.S. T-6C Texan. Maybe I'll see some of u there, pm me if you'd like to catch up. Happy to take any pictures of any aircraft that spike your attention. Just took delivery of some Binaural microphones, so I'm hoping to get some good recordings of the flypasts.

Yes, db is just so easy to use, better than loading up to YouTube late at night, understood! I'm slowly learning blender texturing, so can only marvel at those lit textures

Looking really nice and subtle Tom. Re. The videos, can you try loading to YouTube or Vimeo, those db video take ages to load up considering their short duration. Worth the long wait though. You can adjust the privacy options if you don't want these test vids cluttering your channel publicly.

Great news about WED Tom. I tried the beta version once. It corrupted the file I was using, so haven't gone near it again! The original WED is cool to use once you get used to it, so can't wait for improvements.

I liked that comparison too! In the end, all planes are beautiful to us. I just want to cuddle the Super Guppy. Look that up kiddies! I love flying on any plane, although I might need to be strapped down on one of those 800 pax 380s. Just the thought of so many people on one plane. Agree with the Concorde, what a tragedy in many ways.
