  1. Wow Morten, just a few eh. Very challenging conditions for a car, let alone a multi-wheeler weighing tonnes.
  2. Good to hear the truck driver's ok, a scary ride I bet. That towtruck driver did well to escape in time.
  3. Yes, me jealous, being a rally fan. What I'd do with a subaru and those roads, well best that I'm in Australia, although our gravel/dirt bush roads are fun enough!
  4. And you thought your commute to work was dangerous! Nice views... http://www.abc.net.au/news/2012-04-03/trucks-plummet-off-road-in-norway/3929234
  5. Ha, that was a surprise guys. Not that I'm paranoid, but it's not some sick April Fools joke?! Can't wait to see her up close, once I've finished learning Japanese..
  6. Hahaha, at least afer 21/12 we won't have any upgrade worries. Good news for AMD 7 series though, I've just read some tests that show that it has a HEAP of overclocking headroom, I think the 680 doesn't blow it away as much as the first tests showed if that's considered. Hmm, if the 7970 drops in price, I might try SLI for the first time ever! It's all too confusing sometimes.

    5870

Hey, make sure you let us know how that stonking 7970 goes!
  8. Nice John. You could have flown over the ice faster, I found the pace a little .... Glacial. Boom, boom!
  9. I tried it awhile ago, yes good flight models and detailed scenery. The era and style of dogfighting just didn't jell with me, so didn't use it use it as much as I thought. Ha, but I'm just trying Lock on Flaming Cliffs, love it! Lots of fast jets, loving the Ruskies. Today's PCs run it like a dream
  10. Edwin said- Thats the point I never flew heavies--who really does FLY heavies? Type in the co-ordinates-press auto/On--then spend the next 2--4 hrs with your head in a copy of Playboy or checking out Facebook! Can't even see Tinsel Town 20,000ft below on a clear day except for the brief take off and landing. GA aircraft you do have to fly--- & I love it. Haha, as real as it gets eh, down to an international captains favourite reference material! Help me everyone, I'm flying Flight too much!! Just past the Pearl Harbour area there's some magnificent steep ranges, definitely prime low n slow material. A nice chap showed me the way online. I was one of the most critical of it on release, now I realise it's very strong threat. It's slick, hits all my buttons and bug free on release. AVSIM is going nuts. The small window of opportunity that xplane had is closing rapidly. Lets hope that between wines there's some big announcements from Mallorca. Gotta go now, another freight job awaits!
  11. Good post Carlos! I love women too :-) Now, when is int'l Flightsimmers day?
  12. Nice view of the bridge there Chris!
  13. Corr, I'm excited! One day I'll be able to run 70% clouds! http://venturebeat.com/2012/03/07/browser-based-games-get-real-3d-graphics-with-latest-unreal-engine-and-flash-technology/?utm_source=feedburner&utm_medium=feed&utm_campaign=Feed%3A+Venturebeat+%28VentureBeat%29
  14. Freaking hell! Downloaded it, it's free and works very well!
  15. Sorry I didn't mean that your name was bad! It's a pretty good online name, and I bet you'll be good at multiplayer...anything! My Games Live id or whatever u call it is.... SimmoW, ORIGINAL EH? See u in the skies soon
  16. Hey Z, the Z name has just lost its co olness, at first I thought you were Zroman with a very mature question! I'm only using some $7 RED/CYAN glasses with a Nvidia 560. Yes, it HALVES my fps, but 'down' to 30!
  17. With the 3D setup I'm actually enjoying it between xplane sessions. Flew quite a distance to Hilo, just enjoying the Trip. With 3d its a case of 'look at that hill over there, whats behind it, oh yes, a town over the rise', u see and do things in a totally different way. I even spotted the small metal deflectors on the Vans' wing, in 3D, would never have noticed em without it.
  18. I love it when programmers use their speak in domestic situations ! ' are slowly re-compiling our stuff' You must have 'nerfed' your clothes too, as u only mentioned the (most important) gear that you brought! And that desk, so clean!
  19. Ta chris. Yeah, I had mine at 50-60% which I guessed was just above average (surprisingly!). Every update requires a big revisit of settings. It's like Christmas every week!
  20. Hey chris, by nerfing the clouds, what do you mean? 0% or 2 or what?
  21. Z, wow you have some witty replies, not. I suggest you save this thread in a safe place and re-read it in 5 or so yrs time.. Courthouse? Make sure you tone your performance down.
  22. Oh how I love that word 'nerfed' Chris! Obviously a high-tech engineering term. I've heard that even ppl with 580s and 590s can't get HDR and high results, crazy. The 'ring of cloud' doesn't bother me too much, unless I look for it
  23. GIF of the year that one!
  24. Welcome John. So more riff-raff are coming over! :-) Make sure you pay our club fees ASAP as we are closing it off to other visitors soon :-)
  25. Zroman, I agree with most here, even though I'm a believer in all types of writing as 'art' in some form or another. You are very young, yet I sense very talented and inspired by many things, with a big future, IF you choose the right directions. You need to find your own niche, not ride on others. And expletives/insults won't gain you any more followers. Don't send another abusive blog link in a comment to our blog or I'll erase it - The blog isn't just for grandstanding/leaving 'love' letters.
