  1. Yeah, coz she's still no. 2 with a rocket in the NZ top 40 Actually, some of her bigger songs have incredibly well recorded bass on them, rocks the walls on a good sound system.
  2. Trying it soon too. That sounds strange, that his buildings are classed as autogen. We know Santiago so I might let him know if it's a common issue, if not already reported.

    Microsoft Flight Apparently On Hold

Erm, new screenshots and updates from Microsoft, so a hoax it is, as I thought. LOTS of talks in forums, so at least they know it's created more chatter!
  4. Don't worry, they'll come in at the last minute. I'm still having trouble getting my Sundowner near the Beluga, for some reason she's a bit shy.
  5. I'll give all these settings a try, thanks! I don't see any point in taking jibes at either heli, we are very lucky to have both. I just bought the Dreamfoil, it is very good, I love the flexing structures (hmm, I gotta improve my landings). Compared to the Dodosim for fsx it is definitely much more skittish, but I'll check my controls setup. The torque on takeoff is very strong, a belly full of left yaw required. I did a comparison video of the 2, one of my first landings and hover attempts was pretty acceptable I thought!
  6. In the interests of satisfying my own and others' curiosity, I present this brief review of progress on Bohemia Interactive's 'Take on Helicopters' over at our 'other' blog http://xsimreviews.w...munity-preview/ Xplaners shouldn't be worried! They have a long way to go. I wouldn't waste your $40 to try it yet. S
  7. Now that's a great site Cameron! I like BOHICA as I can insert it in work emails or conversation without it really standing out. Plus it often happens. Just submitted my own commonly used one - ARI. Acronym Reduction Initiative. Think about it..
  8. Thanks! Ha, fml, I've never seen that fml site! See you in a month, after I've added all my entries..
  9. Dare I ask what 'fml' means? These stories only remind me of why I virtually never visit there.
  10. Does it blend?
  11. Hehe, dont worry, I'll keep it clean here! You'll have to visit my XXXPlane blog for the others :-)
  12. Ha, given the interest, I'm sure someone will one day do a cool ultra detailed high quality science fiction thingy. Nothing that breaches copyright of course. I bet commercial rights to do any of the mainstream stuff would be prohibitive - but Matt and Trey would probably be chuffed! Complete with sound effects! 'You killed KENNY!' i hate to admit that I'm yet to watch that amazing looking movie. Ugh, the south park movie was 'bad' enough (read, right up my alley)
  13. This is getting out of control. Good. I want someone to build me this: http://www.teamamericaprops.com/TeamAmerica/TeamAmerica_Jet.htm
  14. Nice! Don't let Goran see it, he might start another side project. Hell, I'd buy one if XA released one! Would add spice to VATSIM sessions.. Approach "declare your destination" FAB "Wherever I darned feel like"
  15. Wow, almost worth getting! I love the 'realistic aircraft lighting controls' - what, they got access to the blueprints??! What's its flightmodel like, is it like the REAL one? Hmm, I wonder if it's legally licensed..
  16. Hampster, can you define 'keep it clean'? I've got some good ideas involving a Beluga and a Sundowner...
  17. Dear Kaph, I just got off a tram, people staring at me as I was collapsing out in fits of laughter! I'm still chuckling..
  18. I hope u are right Perry, as I'll get it to compare to the Dodo. Then it's a loooong wait for their HUEY.
  19. Great to see you in Action! Some steep turns there, lots of confidence. Do another angle next time, maybe a sweeping shot from the outside :-)
  20. And before anyone asks, the course is here: http://www.c74.net/xplane/fx/viewtopic.php?f=79&t=340 But you must join the elite C74 forums first :-) It's worth it, I just watched his flying again, inspiring.
  21. Good flying L, proves it's not that bad! You got pedals? Now try a 10kt crosswind! Im up to flight mode 2 in the Dodo now, it's sweeeet, landing in places I'd never try before, so it's 3 next. I think you've started a video comp! Now just wait for Jason to show off. Which he can. His obstacle course is hellish. Well, at least that landing spot in between the buildings is! Here's one of my embarrassing attempts with a surprising ending: Still better than any of the tubeliner crowd could do :-) A great course to hone your skills. I recall you doing well there?

    Washington Dulles

And the important bit...I liked your video, nice editing. Closeups of crappy resolution static planes aren't worth it though.
  23. Ha, ok I'll stick with mastering my Dodo for now
  24. Ha, all this talk of how hard the Dreamfoil 206 is means I definitely gotta get it! The helicontrol guys claim it is the most dynamically accurate of any pc sim.
  25. Just replied to it Tom. Looks like a great start, well done. This'll certainly fix the barren look in the long term, but still allow for customisation later. I've asked about allowing for more variety in wall types, via a periodic submission process, I hope you don't get lumbered with the review job! Having a few different classes of wall or roof would avoid an eventual criticism of, say, 'a laminar look'. Happy to volunteer to create the dust/sunburnt 'Aussielook'... It must be cool playing with the dynamic lighting, me jealous..
