  1. It should be noted that B-29 Devolepmont started several months ago, just sayin.
  2. Now for the real graphics competition to begin... http://m.youtube.com/watch?v=E4TbpaZf5sM ...and you wonder why B-29 development has been so slow...
  3. What are the EXACT specs of youre system here's an example to show what i mean. I have an intel i3@3.6ghz quad core, 8gb kingston hyper x ram (2 slot), 1tb hdd, 2tb wd red hdd, pny nvidia geforce gtx 560 (hsi amd radeon hd 7970 currently be rma'd ) cooler master gx 650wt ps, lenovo h430 mthrbrd, rosewill blackhawk mid atx case (stock fans) 4monitors 2 1920x1080 1 1240xsomething and one 720p running xp10. Why yes i do have 4 monitors running on one 560. Also what is nvidia inspector?
  4. Don't worry i made that for fun and to see how fast i could model an entire aircraft (previous record was 6 hours for the f-15) i have no itentions of puttng it into x-plane
  5. I think so, but like i said i only spent three hours on it so i can't be sure
  6. here's some pictures of a Cessna citation i made and rendered in just 3 hours as well as a little water simulation that I made to test if rigid bodies affected fluid simulations EDIT: also the mystery aircraft model i posted a while ago was a Vickers Vanguard and the close post was #257 also, the hint when decoded was VANGUARD
  7. finaly got around to reposting these after the server crash awhile back the planes a f-15 eagle by the way
  8. Post any pictures of the interior of your pc here note that there is another topic for pictures of your peripherals here are some of my pc's sorry about the size of the first two there 6mp each here's a picture of a hd 7970 gtx 560 and 550 ti next to each other the 7970 is on the left and 500 ti is on the right
  9. I gues you do have space for a cessna throttle quadrant however you do not have enough space between the desk and the instruments for the clamp on the flight yoke look at the pictures of my setup to see what i mean
  10. Decided to go with amd 7970 do to the fact that A. It's $100 dollors cheaper B. I own a render farm that now has a gtx 560 in it so as long as the card works fine in solid view mode I Don't care about rendering as Nvidia still handles that C. i Currently have a 560 I will see a boost in performance bad drivers or not Also I should mention that it currently is in the mail so good luck changing my mind Here's a link to the actual card i bought http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16814125413 Also i already have plans for my 550 TI and the games are heading to ebay
  11. Nice setup however if you have to put your joystick on your lap i think you will need to by a new desk before you can use a yoke as you don not have space for one right now or even a throttle quadrant for that manner though you can fit in some rudder pedals though you should probably get a hard IN-MOBILE surface to put them on as you have to apply Velcro to your floor and bottom of rudder pedals to make sure that you don't move your rudder pedals around mid flight and pulling that kind of Velcro off that carpet does not sound like a good idea as it will probably take the carpet underneath it with it
  12. I agree the c-130 landing was pretty rough but the 747 one was decent actually but x-plane said they were both fine even with crashing enabled also i have never used that plugin
  13. Actually that landing probably wasn't to dangerous as the .acf was edited in order to do that landing, to be exact a tailhook was added. As a 747 CAN NOT stop like that, trust me I've done it before you go off the end if you land that smoothly at that speed.
  14. I decided to Match your C-130 Landing and then tried to land in a 747
  15. Modeled the engines for the B50 Version
  16. Flown on MD-83-MD-88 B737 B777 B767 B757 ERJ-140 A319 Piper archer iii Robinson R44 Piloted C172 Piper Archer LX
  17. you have NO idea how awesome it was to read that. Given the fact that modeling all those panes was a really big hassle for me, in fact i'm still not happy with the way they look. Also thanks for telling me about the rudder and elevator being bigger otherwise i would have probably never have noticed that.
  18. Turns out there was also a Post war revision of the B-29 called the B-50 the only changes i could see were external fuel tanks and better engines so I've decided to make the B-50 Variant as well since it won't be that hard to make one here's some pictures of the external fuel tank and B-29 in general Also the Top Front and Right Views would be rendered But I ran out of Vram
  19. try precision flight Controls http://flypfc.com/?/products/avionics/ Or by xp10 as you know longer move your view with the mouse unless youre holding down the right mouse button which solves the original problem
  20. Seriously speaking if laminar had chosen to put the effort in and make scenery for every airport in x-plane they would of had to hire hundreds of people as i think there are 30,000 airports in the apt.dat file and if youre wondering why they didn't make a program to do it for them remeber that one person wrote the program that made all the scenery and i took him over a year to make or in other words it's not that laminar didn't make an effort it's that it wasn't feasible
  21. I was flying around today and noticed a strange bug with the roads in XP10
  22. Went over to newegg and managed to find this which is a few hundred dollars cheaper then an equivalent alienware and has more Vram (2GB more to be exact) only con is processor speed which is 2.4GHZ
  23. Get a lenovo idea pad y580 it has a nvidia geforce gtx 660m 8gb ram a 1tb hdd and a 3rd generation intel core i7 for just $1,039.20 it's usually $250 more by the way
  24. Here's 2 pictures of my Setup EDIT: and you thought your desk was messy
  25. Here are some pictures of some of the cockpit gauges that i finally modeled and a view of the outside after doing a very slight change to it
