  1. Cameron, I am also having problems with displays. I use quad core and once I load crj it uses cpu in the same way as any other plane - most of them idle. FPS remain in over 50 range. But once I turn battery switch on and two screens come on moving around in x-plane gets a lot of hiccup'ish'. After turning GPU on it gets even worse and at this point all cores are being used by 100%. If I move camera to any direction it goes and stops for a little while (less than sec), then moves again, then stops. It happen during any movement (taxi, etc). It is getting very annoying and stops me from actually enjoying the plane Please note that FPS remain in 40's all the time. I also passed the test you made available few days ago. What information would you require to debug it? Kind regards, Kamil
  2. Updating Airport-nav_lin.xpl fixed this problem for me. There is version 1.1.3 of the plugin that is not causing XPlane to crash. Try updating it. Kind regards, Kamil
  3. Hmm, I couldn't turn off parking brakes with GPU connected. Looks like you forced it in somehow. Kamil
  4. Hi again, i) I experience another problem. Performance problem that is. I have quad core cpu which is not the fastest but should not be not fast enough I would say. I have all four cores max'd up to 100% all the time but CRJ is causing xplane to stutter during all movement. Framerate seems OK, 20's if lots of buildings in sight and about >40 will less buildings. I tried to downgrade nvidia drivers back to 260 series but did not help (I am using 270.41.03 normally). Does anyone else experienced such a thing? ii) Also, once I set up TGT trust limit to let's say 90.5% and move throttles forward at some point throttle lever goes all the way up and basically ignores all joystick inputs as well as tries of moving it back with mouse. It goes away once I delete TGT. I am doing something wrong? iii) Problem with those dotted squares described few posts back. Point i) actually holds me from enjoying the plane. Also for example altitude tape does not move too smoothly during climb/descent phrases (just an example). How could I try to test it more accurately? Kind regards, Kamil
  5. Yes Javier, I renamed the file as per instructions in documentation. But this is not a source of this squares problem as they were there before I removed the frame. Kind regards, Kamil
  6. Thank you Javier. Back to reading then. As I said, more than likely it was me. Thanks! Also I can see weird problem (please see attachment). Please have a look at dotted squares after BBI. Kamil
  7. OK, I found a cause of the crash. Somehow it interfere with Airport-Nav_lin.xpl plugin. Then I looked for newer version of that plugin, found that there is 1.1.3, installed it and it doesn't crash anymore! ;-) Happy days! Anyways. I can fly her now with, but... I have another issue - more than likely it is me doing something wrong, but will ask anyway. Once I copy airport information as per instructions on page 14 (tutorial) into scratchpad I am unable to insert them into SET POS field. I can't see any ---°--.-- ---°--.-- under SET POS as on screenshot from the same page. Any hints on what am I doing wrong? Kind regards, Kamil
  8. OK, further findings: - Crashed on couple different airports - crashed regardless to engines states - _did_ not crashed in Demo version Will try to disable plugins now. Attaching full log. Nice plane! Kamil Log.txt
  9. Hi, My XPlane is crashing when I try to insert ICAO to AIRPORT field in POS INIT page in FMC. Tried both with and without Gizmo. I am using x64 Linux and installed crj using setup-linux-x64.run. EDIT: Version is 9.69 Here is last bit of the logfile: Fetching plugins for /home/crs/XPlane9/Aircraft/X-Aviation/CRJ-200/plugins Loaded: /home/crs/XPlane9/Aircraft/X-Aviation/CRJ-200/plugins/CRJAvionics/lin.xpl. 10. Steven, I tried to send similar message, ended up opportunity to make a joke out of my english skills. (It was funny though! even told some of my friends what have done - got regular 'face palm' reaction. ) Anyways, hope all devs had fun working on this plane. I am pretty sure I will have fun flying CRJ. Good night chaps, Kamil
  11. There is a very nice update regarding issue raised here. Darkeye was recently working on porting audio support in Linux version of XSB plugin and managed to successfully accomplish this task. Changes are being now merged into main XSB plugin. If you do not want to test for official build you can contact Darkeye and ask him to provide you with him (time limited) build for testing purposes. This resolves existing for very long time problem with Linux and Vatsim. Kind regards, Kamil
  12. I personally completely agree with Goran. Project acknowledge and anticipation is very important to keep community going. People need to understand that asking the same questions all over again will not bring different answer. What I would like to see though is a progress page updated every now and then pointing out what have been achieved and what still needs to be done. Together with periodic updates it would be very good way of keeping customers happy without declaring anything. Understandably such a list would be a living matter with elements added to it as devs want to include something in end product that was not planned before. Want to make a surprise for customer? Just say 'surprise ;-)'. I know that would not stop people from asking questions like when will element A be finished but well... I also beleive that every single project has been planned and such a list exists. I am not asking here for extremely detailed list - just highlights, milestones etc. Kind regards, Kamil
  13. And how does this look? Are there any chances of having XP format included in releases any time soon? If not, (if you know) what is the problem with delivering XP format as well? Thanks for an update anyway! Kind regards, Kamil
  14. Hi, Is that source data available for regular subscribers? If so, writing a parser should not be difficult. Even as you said - you already have a 'reader' part done. It is just output format being different. As I said, it should be fairly easy - the most time would have to be put into investigating file formats unless they are documented somewhere (source and XP's format). EDIT: 1105 airac data will come with native 'jrollon format' as it was stated by Javier in other post. So CRJ200 will be able to utilize newest data. At the moment another of the utils that uses airac is UFMC which is shipped with converter - as stated above - which works just fine. But, I am not sure whether it updates that what can be seen on XP map and what XP uses. All what I can see it allows you to do is to update both earth_awy.dat and earth_fix.dat. Program that does it is closed source but just by comparing input and output files coding little converter should not be difficult. Would anyone be interested in that? Kamil
  15. Sorry, could not resist. Glad to see that message. Was quite sure I will be able to run this file but still held my breath for second or two while it was loading. (Specs in signature) Best! Kamil
  16. Somewhere in between 3.7 and 4.2 frames per second less. Could we please stop all those 'when will it be released', 'how many fps will I get if my cat is three years old and I am driving blue Prius' sort of a questions? It is getting *boring*. If one is unsure whether his or her PC will run it smoothly then best approach to take is to wait for post-release reviews as well as cross check with minimum hardware requirements which surely will be provided at the time of release. It is simply annoying to see new posts here hoping for interesting update but getting the same nonsense all over again. Sorry for my tone, I probably was holding it for little too long and it grew big. Kind regards, Kamil
  17. Hi, It is a known problem with Linux/X-Plane/XSB. For this very reason I am flying (well, flown few times) IVAO. I managed to automate it properly. Give me a shout if you need any help. Kind regards, Kamil
  18. Javier, Is there any reason why you didn't mention Linux in your last post? I recall you saying that it will be released for Linux as well as describing that Linux and Mac runs it better than Windows. Hopefully it has no hidden meaning (your last post). Also, how does it feel to complete work on CRJ? Sense of achievement must be great. Users excitement will be formality only I would say. From last Cam's (Cam, please forgive me if I should not be calling you that way) screenshots plane looks amazing! Kind regards, Kamil
  19. Hi, Can you please let me know what are the reasons behind not releasing Linux version? Thank you. Kind regards, Kamil
  20. And it has my favourite livery! Love Iberia, so colourful. Good luck with your project, have fun! Kind regards, Kamil
  21. Thanks Philipp for this clarification. As per Javier's post I thought lack of VNAV logic modeled is strictly due to a need (consumer pressure?) of providing this long awaited plane. I know it might be slightly naive but if real CRJ200 does not have VNAV implementation than sense of receiving fully simulated systems grows rapidly. I believe advisory systems will be modelled at later point and distributed as an update. I have been following this project for a long time and witnesses all excitement that every announcement brought along (well, all but one). Now, it finally materializes and - please forgive me for doing this - I can't wait!. Got little bit down when Javier mentioned lack of VNAV as I was just about to post a message how glad I am that finally there will be plane simulated at that degree. No more need for external FMC's and other stuff. And then Javier's post. Well. It is good to know that this is not strictly related to lack of time or good will. Would one of you mind scribbling a list implemented v not implemented but present on real plane v not implemented and not present on real plane but what might be expected by customer. (Ain't this silly? ) Philipp, I do not know how long you have been working with X-A and/or Javier but welcome, thanks for rescuing this great project and all the best with future developments. Hope you guys had as much fun coding and designing this bird as future customers will have taking her where she belongs. Kind regards, Kamil
  22. Sold. Looking good! Kind regards, K.
  23. so we lost two great planes. ;/ Well… All the best Javier! Hopefully this will recover somehow! Believe in magic. Kind regards, Kamil

    Project 3

Don't be shy! Add some more! (please excuse me here) Kind regards, Kamil
  25. It's working on amd64 Gentoo with no problems. Ta! (use alt+right mice button to move windows - I think Gnome has it by default - no need to catch window's border - it works everywhere within each window.) Kind regards, Kamil
