  1. Here's hoping for 'in cloud effects', an improved sense of speed with regard to clouds and improved transitions between different weather at difference locations.
  2. Over the last few months we've all been focused on XP11 - now that it has gone final it would be great to hear of any plans for the next release in the V4 run. Any sneak peak videos or release dates you'd care to share?
  3. Is there a way to have the rain be heavy during a storm and lighter during small showers? On my system there isn't any discernible difference between a thunderstorm and a shower. Also, with you new rain, it feels as though the rain is following the aircraft because it doesn't seem to matter if I'm sitting still and the airport are going 300 kn, the rain doesn't change angle. Also, when I go to an airport with snow fall reported I don't see any in the sim - am I missing something.
  4. These are all good ideas..vote +1
  5. I'm curious if SMP publishes its own datarefs that plugins can use to get/set SMP settings? For example it may be useful to be able to dynamically adjust cloud rotation based on weather events - is this possible?
  6. Even better if the lightening was lit by a shader that illuminated rather than what looks like an image of lightening. Would that be possible? I believe SMP currently does in-cloud shader effects like this.
  7. Video or pic to demo to us?
  8. Just came across this video (it's not mine):
  9. I see this behavior frequently when I fly with SMP3 and RWC. I'll lookout for the support thread and comment in there.
  10. No problem, I'll be patient. Conversely the team should be flattered by the attention!
  11. True. It is important to note, speaking for myself, that time spent feeding back here on the forum is a genuine effort to improve the product. The only reason I might have in comparing with other products is because it's easier to reference what they're already doing well than trying to describe in text. There is no criticism intended, I think SMP is great or I wouldn't waste my time here.
  12. Marshall-They're not understanding what you're getting at, but I do. Benz make better engines than Hyundai - if Hyundai recognise this and wish to improve that aspect of their product they could look at how Benz do it. But recognition and acceptance are prerequisites. On that note it would be great to see a video of improvements in SMP4 when going through clouds - previous releases tended to not give a sense of volume as you passed through clouds. But all is well and looking forward to a high quality release S
  13. The clouds look fantastic - nice and thick. Can you post a video showing the plane going through these thick clouds to give us a sense of how the clouds are modeled on the inside? There are times with SMP1,2,3 where the cloud looks big, voluminous and thick but once you get inside it that sense is lost and it feels more like the plane is static until you pass out the other side. Again, looking great in the pics.
  14. Me too..
  15. 1 vote for me. I think having this effect will enhance the look of clouds being far away from the aircraft.
