  1. Mu news is good news! Thanks so much! Really looking forward to it ...
  2. I use TrackIR and have to lean forward to get a clearer panel resolution ... When I do that the writing is very clear; which is probably why I didn't think much more about it. I don't suppose that this is something a person with your magic graphical skills could fix Nicola?
  3. Views in X-Plane are the most versatile I reckon ... I hated the limited options in FSX an P3D . IMO to get the best out of the X-Plane experience you need TrackIR ... and use the Pilot View plugin (it's VERY versatile). Come to think of it, you can use the Pilot View plugin even without TrackIR ... and then you can adjust your views to be exactly the way you want. Understand though that the Pilot View plugin (I think it's by Sandy Barbour) requires that you setup the keystroke assignments for all your 3D cockpit pan, scroll and zoom functions etc. beforehand. Cheers! P.S. I'd tell you which function assignments that I use .. except that I'm still at work! P.P.S. .. and definitely get the full version of X-Plane and a payware plane ... I'd recommend the Jetstream 32 by JRollon to get you started ... an absolute gem of a plane (especially if you fly 64bit), and when the IXEG 737 comes out I believe it will be a crowning moment for the X-Plane universe!
  4. Good post! I tend to agree with your perspectives here ... except the PMDG part as I only know of them by reputation. I tried FSX once upon a time and decided I wouldn't spend any more time with it as the 'feel' wasn't right for me. I did get the 777 @ the .Org Store and also find it a tad disappointing. I wish I'd bought the A350 heli now. So .. I'll stick to regional turboprops (Jetstream!!) until IXEG come out and/or the CRJ-200 gets the 64 bit lovin' ... whichever comes first!
  5. ... just beautiful mate ... where is it?
  6. Wonderful ksgy, I look forward to its release!
  7. How comprehensive is the systems modelling Carlos?
  8. LOL! Well ... maybe just the SAAB and NorCal ... but absolutely nuthin' else and that's the immutable truth so help me!
  9. OK .. I'm announcing formally that I won't be buying ANY planes, addons, plugins or scenery until I get hold of this aircraft. The sublime agony!
  10. Lucky you btw ... I'm very envious!
  11. Nope, I've never flown a real Mustang ... but the amount of torque during takeoff for the Jetstream seems 'right' to my sim based perception, and who am I to argue when Javier reckons he's got it just about right? In the air I still have to trim ... and I'm surprised that a real P-51 doesn't have to trim before flying hands off ... for everything I've found on the subject of gyroscopic precession says that trim is required to fly hands off ... same as the Jetstream ... I trim for level flight and I can fly hands off as well. Cheers The EDIT .. btw there may very well be an issue with how X-Plane does torque (that's what the boffins seem to say anyway) ... but I think its exclusively and conveniently blamed as the bogey factor when people have troubles with aircraft handling qualities. There are definitely other factors @ play here. I used to fly X-Plane with a Saitek Cyborg EVO and it was a horrible experience ... I couldn't fly hands off whatever I did because the pots were jumpy and it never kept it's center ... since getting the X25 Pro my troubles have disappeared and my flying is as smooth as butter. People should also tweak their calibration settings from within X-Plane to find what works for them. On the other hand comparing FSX to X-Plane and broadly touting FSX as a paragon of realism in this instance (whether you intended to or not) was misleading I think ... I got that impression anyway .
  12. The lack of roll in FSX is unrealistic. Both sims have their strengths and weaknesses ... realism isn't one of FSX's fortes.
  13. Nicola! Any chance I can get hold of your awesome work with the JARDesign AN 148 as well? Your artistic prowess in this medium is fantastic! Cheers!
  14. That's a matter of opinion . Now in my opinion, a good 3D panel makes a 2D panel an unnecessary addition.
  15. Have you connected the power to the card ... as per the supplied instructions?
  16. Is this the E-190 or the 170? Also would be very interested in your opinion of this aircraft ... a/. is it worth getting for an individual who's into painstakingly anal-retentive realism ... or should I save my pennies for the SAAB and iXEG release. b/. is their any information (anywhere) vis-a-vis the SSG group continuing development to bring this series to a high level of fidelity completeness? Cheers!
  17. Looks great! Hope to be able to buy it soon!
  18. Thnks Nicola, yes the upgrade path seems like a never ending money pit!

What Gjalp said .... awesome video!
  20. Be interested in any first impressions ... Nicola, anyone?
  21. Awesome and thanks!!
  22. Yep .. I definitely LOVE this plane! It is arguably the best regional turboprop we have in X-Plane IMHO. I've been a MU2 guy forever, but now I have 2 girlfriends; the MU2 and the Jetstream32 ... she takes a bit of knowledge and practice that's all, treat her well and she'll reward you with a flawless flight simming experience!
  23. Wow! That's really cool Goran!
  24. Haven't been on the Mornington Pennisula since my Portsea days .. now that's going back some ...
  25. 3 D cockpit and hi-fidelity systems implementation? If so, I like it
