Well this is weird, I have a few .org screenshots as well as links on my website (xplaneaustralia) and this is what I end up with.

So it wasn't just a false positive I am not very technical, do you know if the user profiles are safe?

I will remove the 32GB of memory, I agree, it is way over the top. I will swap in 8 GB or 16 GB. You all seem to like the CPU and with 6 cores (12 hyper threaded) it should be fun for AI aircraft. I don't mind paying a bit more for the case and PSU as they should have a much longer lifespan than the actual computer components. Now onto the GPU. I am aware that it is a but much for the current X-plane but I don't mind getting ahead. I might even "turn to the dark side" and have a look at ORBX YMML. I am also tempted to play some Battlefield 3 for those who are familiar. How much will 4GB of vram benefit me compared to 2GB? I will only have a 1 monitor setup, currently I am looking at the following monitor http://www.centrecom.com.au/catalog/ips277l-ips277l-black-p-60517.html?sort=2a (I am a fan of the thin bezels).

My current situation is that I am running x-plane 10 on a standard 2008 macbook. It is now at the point where it can hardly handle WED. After only owning Mac's beforehand I looked at building a PC. I found that it is even cheaper than I thought to build a powerful system. My only problem is that I have very little knowledge of computers, I have done some research but I know that there are some very knowledgable people on these forums who could give me some advice and guidance (I'm not even 100% sure the parts I grouped together below will be compatible). This is what I came up with... Is it overkill? $2850 Australian Dollars (almost parity with the USD). It may seem like a lot but I payed $2,200 for a macbook 13" back in 08 My questions: Something I don't understand is memory. Would it be better to go for faster memory but 16GB instead of 32? Also what do you think of the GPU, as far as I know it is arguably one of the best variants of the GTX 680. Are there enough PCI (another thing I don't understand) slots on the motherboard for everything? Is 1000W enough power? I intend to overclock the CPU. Thanks Andy

Get all the textures you want and put them on a transparent photoshop file with a size of 1024x1024 or 2048x2048. Then save the file as a png. Here is an example of one of my "collages"

If you would like to use some of my custom objects for your own scenery file you must contact me first. Installation: 1. Make sure you already have the OpensceneryX, R2, and Ruscenery object librarys installed. 2. Move the file "YTYA - Tyabb Airport" into your custom scenery folder. Note: For the best effect you are going to want to run this scenery at a texture resolution of Very High or Extreme. This scenery might be too much for some older computers. Thanks and Enjoy Andy Click here to download this file

Looks very nice so far

The 3d pit looks very nice. Are there plans for a Qantas livery?

I'm very happy, 3 Australian Gold medals from the sailing and another big possibility in the Women's match racing. Suddenly the Australian media are making out that they have been supporting the Sailing from the beginning .
-
Don't forget Tom Slingsby the 5 time world champion who is currently leading the Lasers and on track for gold. Also the women's match racing team has one 10 races out of 10 and still no mention. At the same time in the 470 we also have the gold medal favourites. If we could get gold medals in these 4 events the sailing might get a bit of attention.
-
Australia's medal situation is not great but the Australian public might notice our sailers as they never get a mention on TV. We have 4 sailers who are the gold medal favourites in there class of boat. Hopefully if they do well they might get some type of mention on the local TV unlike usual. While I talk about the local TV, Channel 9's coverage of the games in my opionin has been terrible. It was enough make us upgrade our pay-TV package to include the olympics.

My instructor also asked me the same question when we were back on the ground after the first lesson which I was proud of and I did say yes. Your very right that x-plane is a good tool to have while taking lessons. I have 1 lesson every 2 so as-well as doing my theory I like to go through my previous lesson in x-plane sometime before the next lesson.
-
A very good post Goran. Just like what he said, keep calm, ask lots of questions to make the best use of your time with the instructor and it's not a good idea to he/she about your x-plane experience. Good luck and enjoy it.

I am currently designing a small airport. The medium hanger was too big and the small hanger was to small. I then decided to use the hanger facade and found a 20 meter tall building in the middle of the airport which is a bit much for a Cessna. I agree Bill, the scenery library is great but I am looking forward to more objects being imported in further updates.

Wow the F-27 and then this. You work very quickly and the results are amazing.
-
I think so. It's got some amazing features that are very compelling. The biggest ones that stand out to me: The RJ100 also includes an accurate flight model, stall speeds, cruise speeds. Tear the skies up, dude! What it has accurate stall speeds! A top quality bird. Ending the sarcasm, I would definitely by it if it had a 3d cockpit but have a look at this xplane 10 vid. I know its old but it has the WIP MD80 by XPFW and the airport terminal system to prove its genuine.

Have the english already started bussing people to LOWI for the snow season? ;D Very nice paint
