  4. All I see in the pictures is you have the overcast quality set to low. This is a framerate friendly option. Try setting your overcast layer to either medium or hi.....you may have to make further adjustments in the ui to maintain performance;)

  6. I think what becomes confusing here what do you mean by X-Plane will not start? Do you get an error or do you click on the icon and nothing? Or does it crash while loading and if so what is loading during the crash?
  7. Ugh thats a tough question to answer for any project it all depends on a lot of variables... External influences Project size Bug killing Life events X-plane limitations and work around Optimization and texture refinement Marketing Documentation So on and so on.....taking those things into account you can see how difficult it is to put a time on it....

  9. If we are going to do it we are going to do it right Im about 90% finished with texturing and refining but we are hoping to gain control on how those textures are loaded. Hang tight the project isnt dead by any stretch
  10. Best bet would be to login to where you purchased the aircraft and 're download the file...
  11. Yes the sasl plugin....most if not all of their aircraft should be updated for 64bit.... Just a shot in the dark...

  13. John if that theme is in use prior to closing out Maxx fx it will load the next time X-Plane is started
  14. I have never seen this, not to say its not happening I wonder if there is a common variable on both systems contributing to this?
  15. Actually these clouds are shaped by the wind, try a few cumulus layer at I dunno 2,ooo ft in the weather dialog and apply some wind to that alltitude you will see them morph into a similar formation..... SMP clouds are very dynamic

  18. Im dumbfounded.....literally Screenshot above shows dark clouds.....I wonder if there is an underlying problem.... Post some screen shots along with a location so I can test it out....

  20. Yeah I touched on this in another thread as you can see in marcc's post our clouds are plenty dark at night, but this also depends on location and time of year. SilverLining simulates the angle of the sun so in certain situations, as in real life, clouds will be slightly illuminated.

  22. This is a limitation of the x-plane sdk at the moment. Our hopes for the future of the product will be having the ability to accurately present weather fronts..... Under most situations we are representing weather very well and we have talked with LR about having more control over the default weather engine.... This will help us out and also give another developer the ability to create a more refined weather engine. SM is great because it is breaking new ground in x-plane & as you know we are focused on bringing more refinements when we can...
  23. No SM is much more than textures its a complete cloud engine.........
  24. I havent seen poping in, do you mean abrupt changes in the shading or clouds just appearing immediately? My suggestion right now would be to knock the cloud details down a bit to help with the regeneration speed... Clouds faiding in the distance is an expected result.....increasing the draw distance will greatly minimize this effect as long as the visibility is high in the xpx default weather dialog....
