Well, I didn't include the log because my guess was that everybody has those or similiar errors and because my XP10 runs without issues... I just wanted to make sure that I'm not the only one with a messy-looking log and if there is an explanation for that. But if you are willing to take a look at it and maybe enlighten me, here you go! Log.txt Best regards Flo

Is it normal that the log file shows dozens or even hundreds of "errors" and "problems" whilst everything seems just fine? When I read the log just after a short flight I was amazed that XP did start at all and looked "normal" with that many "errors" and "problems" all over the place. Thanks Flo

Hi Philipp, does the "fixes" for 10.10 include the new per pixel-dragging? Dialing the AP and radios unfortunately is a pain like it is now...either too twichy (radios) or too clumsily (AP). Any improvement in that regard would be great. Love the CRJ, hardly fly any other plane since I own it. Cheers Flo PS: And now thinking the first time about getting an ipad...but have to win a lottery first

Progressive pitch oscillations in cruise with AP on

Changing the AP parameters like Stefan did helped me too, Usability and flying experience with AP is way better now. Thanks Stefan for figuring that out. Flo -

Thanks cessna729, very kind of the fms Will give it a try. @cameron: Thanks too, I figured that out myself when I was trying to load a .fms file into the FMS . Flo

Hi, is there a (freeware) flight-planning tool that works with the crj-200 FMC? Or any other easy way to get the nav-data into it except typing...? Hints very welcome. Thanks and happy flying Flo

Can you explain what API-bound means? In fact neither my CPU (i7 2600k@4.2) nor my GPU (GTX670@stock, 2GB) is close to beeing maxed out. CPU-load is typically 75% at one core, others are used to around 40% (windows task manager, performance monitor). GPU-load is around 70%. NVIDIA Inspector shows that the "bus-usage" is almost zero (but maybe this is not the PCIe bus?). Framerates are good and about what I expected - but it's weird nonetheless. Only way to max out the GPU is running HDR+SSAA. Just curious how that makes sense... Thanks Flo PS: XPlane's FPS counter always shows a CPU usage of 0.998 or so.

Thanks John, I will file a bug to Laminar. Flo

With 10.10 beta 4 (my first 10.10 beta) I have a strange behavior if the wipers are turned on: within the wiper-area all lights disappear (cockpit view). This is only with HDR on. Can anyone confirm this bug? I can't remember to have seen this in 10.05 RC. Thanks Flo

X-Plane 10 Tree Lines and Farms Scenery released
FloB replied to alpilotx's topic in General Discussion
I know it's a little off topic but maybe Andras can answer the question nonetheless. Would it be possible to raise the mesh "resolution" for airports based on the data available or is there any other way to smoothen the runways if "follow contur" is checked? This is a great feature but...unfortunately it often makes my plane bounce like a superball so I have it unchecked most of the time Thanks Flo -
I think going from a 560ti to a 7850 or 6950 won't be much of an upgrade. And as Cameron said, it's not unlikely that the T7 and other Airliners need CPU-Power in the first place. I can recommend the GTX670-2GB (Asus), it's way better than the competing 7950 (I tested both) and about 100 bucks cheaper than the GTX680. But of course it`s still a lot of money. Maybe you should wait for the T7 and 10.10 RC before you make a decision? Good luck anyway Flo

Terminal roofs seem to have too much light on them. Lightposts on top of Terminal one would enlighten only the apron (more or less), not the roof itself. Terminal two lacks lightsources that could enligthen the roof at all. Think they should almost be dark in the night. Looks good anyway, thanks for your efforts and good luck! Flo PS: +1 for more dirt!

Makes sense. The point is that N1 isn't identical with the engines "workload" (measured by fuel flow) what makes N1 the wrong figure to estimate the real stress on the engine IF packs and anti-ice are engaged. Reduction of pressure (by bleed air) means more fuel-flow to maintain the same N1 and thus no reduction of stress but more stress. So N1 has to be reduced to stay within limits...yep. Thanks Flo
-
Hi Jan, would you mind to explain why/how the (additional) bleed air for packs etc. stresses the engine? I would have guessed that it would lower the stress because it will lower the pressure behind the bleed valves (right?). Or is it the bleed valve itself that might get damaged? Thanks a lot and please keep the booooring stuff coming Flo

I think Courchevel in France has one of the steepest runways, almost 19%. Crazy. Flo

I don't know anything about Mac but it took me 4 hours to figure out how to handle the presets on windows and I guess it's just the same on Mac. Will try to help you. First of all: Did you read the pilot view manual? If not, do it (download via sandy barbours homepage). Do you know how to set keys for plugin-commands in general? I want do make sure I don't waste time explaining things you already know... Cheers Flo

Wait, where did I watch a hydraulics system demo video recently? I was already looking forward to that airliner project and now that I know you're involved I'm even more excited and more than willing to forgive the delay on the moo. But I think it would be good not to spark hopes for a "early" moo update any more - until you're REALLY done with it. After weeks and month of delay it´s a little bit annoying to read "with any luck, it won't take as long as I might think and I could just go...."hrm...that works" and put something out." We all should drop that release-talk for now and relax. Cheers Flo

Wise decision. Damn! Flo

Well that´s indeed a bad situation and probably not doing any good for all the projects and you. It´s a shame that a gifted and passionate developer has to work under those conditions. Ever thought about kind of "subscription" for your projects? I think a guy with a good reputation in the community should be able to create some income in advance (at the latest: as soon as he is able to show some eye-candy and some working systems)... E.g. I guess the ixeg team would be able to sell a few hundred copies of the upcoming 737-classic right now if the allow a 20% discount on the final price. However, fingers crossed for a mooday! Regards Flo
