Looks like Maya or 3DS Max.

Not at the same airport, but still a dangerous landing with a 747.

I think Ben's comment was in response to the comment made by larjeet.

That went from 4 sensible posts regarding the .org and that it may be down, to 1 stupid post that was completely unnecessary.

Unfortunately not. With the introduction of BMesh came a new format for the mesh. If you try opening a 2.63 or later Blender file in an earlier version you only get the edges, no faces. If you do model in a version with BMesh you will have to 'save as' and choose the 'legacy mesh format' option on the left-hand panel, before opening it in an earlier version.

Would someone mind helping me pick my jaw up off the ground.

I have been having a few issues with versions later than 2.6 due to bmesh. It may be that I don't have the latest scripts, but I would recommend working in 2.6.

I am having a weird issue with a Super Hornet I have been building in Planemaker. It is hard to explain what is happening so I have attached the aircraft. When i extend the landing gear or flaps, the plane seems to go crazy, and the stall characteristics are very weird and I have no idea why. Whilst building the many other planes I have made I have never encountered a similar problem. Due to the issue with landing gear and flaps take off is imposible, i recommend dropping it from the b-52 to get airborne. Thanks in advance, Kieran FA-18E Super Hornet.zip

Does anyone know how to implement LEF (Leading Edge Flaps) in Planemaker such as those found on the Super Hornet? Shows LEF on the left and TEF on the right.

Looks to me like a duplicate. Check that somewhere there isn't a 2nd nose gear tyre.

Just remember that Cycles uses all available threads/cores (unless you tell it not to), while X-Plane only uses 1 thread/core for drawing stuff.

For rust to occur both water and oxygen need to be present. For ships submerged the oxygen is usually disolved in the water, a natural process. But with the water not coming into contact with the air the amount of disolved oxygen is going to be very limited, thus limiting the amount of rust. -
Future of Blender export scripts for developers

Currently only Sam256's scripts work with 2.6. -

If it is underground it means that there is unlikely to be any oxygen present, nor any sun, so the water may not have done that much damage. I wouldn't be surprised if they are in very good nick. -

Thanks for this information Tom. I personally prefer modelling in 2.6x, making full use of the new bmesh modelling system (allowing for n-gons). But I have found the original export scripts by Mr Harris to be far more reliable than those by Sam256 for 2.6x. I haven't started in the world of manipulators yet so I have had no problems so far. Model and texture in 2.6x and then open in 2.49 to animate and export. -
Well, I'm currently on the NSW mid-north coast, so I have had a nice cool sea brease the whole time.

Regarding Blender export scripts. The original scripts written by Marginal (I'm pretty sure) only work for 2.49b as they are built on python 2. Sam256 (over on the .org, I think I got his name correct) has been updating the blender scripts with new functionality to be more inline with the latest features of the X-Plane .obj format. He has one for 2.49 and one for 2.5x (and now 2.6x). I'm not sure how far along the ones for 2.5x are, the last time I checked he was still adding functionality and there were bugs, but that was a while ago. Have you seen Dan Klaue's tutorials on YouTube? Also I recommend Blender Cookie for tutorials (most of them are free), they even have a getting started in Blender series.
