  1. Need to remember this video was made in 2003 using X-plane 7.
  2. Made this video back version 7 before the X-Prize. http://www.xplanefreeware.net/jim/video/XP7/WMV/X-Prize.wmv
  3. About the same size as the airhogs helicopters. but far heavier and made of metal. My biggest problem is having flown the airhogs indoors for years, is re-training the brain to make the Ipod act as the remote. I am just so use to having a hands on joystick controller like the airhogs used its difficult to change. They don`t recommend flying it outdoors.
  4. So far, getting use to using my Ipod Touch as a remote has proven difficult. You can set to act as either a joystick and use the motion control of the Ipod. Turns out, it takes some serious practice or you`ll bust it up fast. The helicopter is amazingly heavy for being so small. So it has enough mass to do some damage if you loose control. It has an autoland feature, but remembering its there, is another thing as you watch get away from you.
  5. Didi you download the 40mn documentary ? Talk about a WOW. Was awesome watching on my 42" monitor.
  6. http://www.griffintechnology.com/helotc Now for the hard part, learning how to make Ipod or Ipad control it. To use to using the old controllers, this will take some time.
  7. mobo bios , power supply. More causes. Even a dying video card will do this. Know it from experience just like that.
  8. It gets even better, watch what he has on his blog. http://www.sebmontaz.com/

  12. Just searched through my Itunes for my Mettalica after buying their greatest hits a few years back and find it missing. About time Itunes let you re-download previous purchases. Now I can listen to them again. 30 years ago, I was out of high school for a 1 year already.
  13. Have it setup on my new Monitor and it works great. We did not use it this past weekend when everyone was here though. Just to busy playing with everything else. To many toys and Sims to play with. Jim
  14. Nice, thanks Simon for sharing some development shots of KSEA.
  15. Went and bought a Insignia 42" LED 1080p 60hz monitor for my computer yesterday. Bought a wall mount and it took a couple try`s getting it positioned in the right place. Was to high first time. But now its perfect and never looked better. http://www.flickr.com/photos/1001jimk/sets/72157627872970483/

  22. Looking forward to having Cameron, Tom Curtis and Colin Klotzbach come down and have a good time. Not sure if Dhruv is coming, has not said one way or another. Sure wish Tom Kyler could make it, but we all know with his current schedule it would not work out. Been getting everything prepared and cleaning up and cooking all kinds of goodies. Beer is stocked in the fridge and will be cleaning out computers from another years worth of dust buildup. Regards, Jim
  23. RIP. Steve was a true visionary. Apple Stocks took a nose dive yesterday with the release of the Iphone 4S. A big disappointment for those awaiting the Iphone5. I will bet tomorrow will change that with those who will buy an Apple product regardless of Apple`s failure to produce the Iphone5. We have 3 Ipods, 1 Ipod Shuffle for the wife, 1-Ipod touch 1st gen 32gb for my son, 1 Ipod 64gb 4th gen. And purchased an Ipad2 32gb 3G and Wifi 2 months ago. Still remember my first computer was a Apple 2E clone. That was in 1982.
