interestingly, i have yet to test the dash on a 256 meg card. i am a little worried about it but if you can run the SSJ then lets hope you can run the dash. Also comes down mostly on how fast your CPU is. i have a 1280 meg card, and i can use it all with the dash on extreme settings.

Fixed now. thanks again. There could be more, so good thing it is an easy fix.
-
Hell yeah i enjoyed myself, right after the 4 hour waiting in the car to park. WTF was a nice a day got to see the F22 and blue angels and i walked through a DC7. woot. Got video of them too. going to root through it now.
-
actually, come to think about it, i have known about the windshield being misspelled for a while now, just forgot all about it. so thanks for the heads up.
-
Where is that error located? cant find it. allthe EXTERIORs i am looking at are correct. i will keep looking.
-
Well hotdamn, good catch. wonder what else is spelled wrong. JOE?

Sounds like you guys will be having some fun too. I will be there during the day, probably will leave around 5 pm if that. and yeah, if the Notams are like what last year was like, then you have a set time to get there and a set time you can lave by plane. think the air shows start around 1pm. I remember seeing the skies filled in the morning with planes coming in and landing. If you guys go, have FUN
-
Yeah, i was suppose to go today, but the rain kept me home. I will be there tomorrow as well, and i hope the show goes on. It is a shame mother nature hates us so much lately.
-
After release then send me a message of reminder and maybe i will be able to create a US airways livery on the Dash.
-
Will not be taking requests for paints at this time. after release you can hound me for whatever you want and i will provide it if possible as a separate download. the list of liveries we will be providing at release is set already and i will be posting images of them in a few weeks. Glad you guys like the images.
-
Time for some images. For anyone who didn't see, i will be posting up one image a day up until release to the website and Facebook page. here are a few we have already. enjoy

I like the way the water looks. I feel like going swimming now. Haven't picked it up yet, but i should since i may be visiting the island this year and i could familiarize myself with it this way it seems.

Replacements for 430/530 from Garmin...touch screen!
Jack Skieczius replied to tkyler's topic in General Discussion
I think you have misinterpreted something here. I am not sure how things are done elsewhere but here in the states we have several ways of being prepared and able to get updated weather in flight without use of a fancy, three grand or more investment in technology. If not doesn't do a ton of flying, and or not for business, then the NEED for a WX is not something worth 3 grand to me. Plus there is no excuse to not already be prepared before you even decide to take off. nothing can replace a proper preflight weather briefing. I can see that some, maybe those who get to comfortable with there WX not even bothering to get a preflight briefing and taking off only to find there WX showing they are now caught between two squalls. And i am sure Garmin, being the trusted brand they are, is worth the money if you have a NEED for such a thing, but like i mentioned, i wouldn't be using the Ipad in flight for those reasons. -
Replacements for 430/530 from Garmin...touch screen!
Jack Skieczius replied to tkyler's topic in General Discussion
Well most of the planes i have flown, already have a GPS in them. So i wouldn't necessarily use the GPS function on the Ipad. What i could use it for is what i use my knee-board for now. That is a place to write down weather from the ATIS/AWOS or squak codes and a fast look up for frequencies i need to know. Better yet, as a way to review and create my flight planes. I donlt see the need for WX right now in the cockpit. I say this because getting a good weather briefing and calling up FSS has worked for me so far. Also once i had Jacksonville telling me where the rain was ahead of me once on my way back from a long trip. Was not expecting that, which i have to say helped a lot and was free(technically). What i might do if and when i have the money to purchase an Ipad is try it out first with the ipad, if i feel more adventurous and in need of WX weather and all the extra stuff i would need from a 696 then i may get that, but for three grand, thats pricey. Ben, have you used your ipad in flight or just in the car? -
Replacements for 430/530 from Garmin...touch screen!

ok, i see one benefit i like, and that is having the sectional chart right there on the display, BUT for only a fraction of the cost i could have that on an ipad. -
Replacements for 430/530 from Garmin...touch screen!

Coming from a 172 pilot now, All these new features, with the touch screen is cool, but doesn't the 430/530 already have all the features you could possibly need in a small GA? I am not old school or anything, but i know first hand how all that busy displays can be a distraction. I wonder if Garmin will have a book at sun n fun next week. if so maybe i can try these out first hand and get back to you all. -
Actually man, that looks good. You sure are getting the hang of this now. one thing of advice i can give is you may want to possible think of getting rid of the indented line that goes around the main body of this console. Reason being you can easily add this in as a texture later on. not saying you have to however, but one of the things that makes a great 3d model is knowing when to make that bevel and when not to. its something you get better at over time. When you make a link like that, first ask yourself if you can texture that in there easier and with less polygons used first. More so, ask if your customers could tell the difference if it was textured or not. Also, a lot of times you will notice that all this detail you try hard to model wont even be noticeable once you have a healthy texture applied. Trust me i know from experience. Sometimes we tend to go off and model everything, detail for detail, which is great and fun, but once there is a texture there we get let down when you can no longer make out these awesome details we spent hours on. Other then that, this looks really nice, i cant wait to see what the rest looks like.

Aerosoft possibly coming to X Plane.
Jack Skieczius replied to Goran_M's topic in General Discussion
going back a bit, i remember good times flying the 377 around BC, doing flights from CYYC to CYVR. one of the greatest things about that trip was the mountains, particularly because the 377 didn't climb nor descend at anything more or less then 1000 fpm. And if you tried to force her down faster then that you would risk iceing up the engines and well, yeah i did that once coming into CYYC. Vatsim ATC got a kick out of that plane. You also had to request decent VERY far back, like 130+ miles out or you would never make it. Once i had to extend my downwind leg like 20 miles so i could give her time to descend. Fun times for sure. i miss that plane. in fact, i even flew her 10 hours from KJFK to london. If there was one plane i would like for FSX it would be the 377 Stratocruiser from A2A -
All i can say about this video is somewhere in the back of my mind i have a voice telling me to start those engines up and watch from a distance as all those people get sucked up into them, wha ha ha.
