  1. Update 1.1 is out: Updated Vmo Cue and Vstall Cue graphics. Changed aileron deflection time limit to zero. Did this because they are not hydraulically controlled. Reversed the action on the pitch_mode autopilot wheel. Down is up and up is down now. Updated colors of the Artificial Horizon. Updated the VSI tape graphic. Changed the way the TUNE knob works. Now works with 4 commands, which work similar to how the 3d panel TUNE knobs would work. No more Scrolling up or down. Added ADF1 and ADF2 to the ARCDU. Added MFD1 & 2SelectorKnob Functionality for NAV,SYS, DOORS, and ENG. Adjusted Fuel Tank center position. Adjusted Fuel transfer switch logic Added logic for fuel imbalance annunciation. When fuel in each tank differs by 600lbs, all fuel annuns turn yellow. Fixed hash marks on altitude tap. Updated el_horizon-3.png Fixed issues with 'Hot and High' takeoffs. Added logic for engine failures. Added de-rated takeoff power options. Buttons for this are on the Engine Control Panel. Added Max Takeoff Power (MTOP) button to allow for max takeoff power, which gives you 106% TRQ. Added the option to change the change the Baro setting between IN and HPA, you can do this by clicking next to the Baro setting on the PFD. Changed the RadAlt Indicator. The box only shows up when at or under 2500ft Rad Alt like it should Fixed the Alt Select Bug and indicator, they now change to yellow when closing in onto your preselected altitude as they should. Along with this you now will see Alt*. Added in code to stop the screens from displays dark when switching to theQ400 from another add-on. This normally left you in the dark wondering where the light switches were, but not anymore. Engine intake switches will only turn the inlet heater on now if there is hydraulic pressure, on top of normal 15°C rule. Added RMI to the PFD as well as associated DME. You can switch between VOR ADF and FMS on two needles using the panel under the FMC. Added Weight and Balance Manager as a popup with many settings. Added door animation which can be toggled from the DOORs MFD screen. APU now uses fuel when turned on, drawing from the left tank. Adjusted the roll effect from P-factor and Torque by adding roll stability. Separated the High and low rez into two different folders. This allows you to save about ¾ the file size. Added TOGA mode Those who already have the aircraft should be getting an email with instructions for the update momentarily if they have not got it already. Those who do not have it yet can get it at http://store.armchairaviation.com/ As always comments and suggestions and tech support on our forum here: http://forums.armchairaviation.com/index.php?option=com_kunena&view=listcat&Itemid=3&view=listcat&func=listcat&Itemid=3
  2. I have to say that I found it funny that when I mentioned to Cameron about the .org staff group only having one star, the next day Ben had one star. After a few months Ben was back at 5 stars. A couple of days ago I put my little note under my username and today I see that he is back at one star... Not sure why all the games about it. If Cameron want's the .org staff at one star, it's ok with me, but don't try to be sneaky about it when I call you out on it.
  3. go to the arctic for gravel strips
  4. I'd make my own actually. I was joking about the monster cables LOL. A good amp and a good set of speakers make more of a difference. (Of course not running your cables right next to power cables helps too...)
  5. If I could afford the monster cables I'd have some, but first up is getting a new set of monitors.... Sigh so much sound/other equipment to buy and so little money...
  6. My bet is no. However I would be curious to see how big the NOR/SOcal scenery will be. I know it's probably not exact, but are we talking around 60gb for each?
  7. Also keep in mind that from engine start to FL100 and from FL100 to engine shutdown, sterile flight deck procedures should be used. Not a good time to text or chat about company procedures.
  8. And there is the answer. As I said, IIRC from my systems training on the 737NG it will autotune to waypoints along the route of flight. Thanks for clarifiying that this in fact does not happen on the CRJ.
  9. I've also noticed that it seems to set to random VOR's and Courses. I know it's not a CRJ but on the 737 it autotunes based on your route of flight. So if I am on an airway it will autotune to the VOR's on that airway. Does the CRJ not do the same thing. (I will look again in the manual later, just getting ready for work, to see if that is covered there)
  10. The GTA scenery is just taxiway sign errors between MSFS and X-Plane. It still works but the arrows are letters.
  11. yeah not seeing the error but it seems to be working with texture compression. We really need 64 bit X-Plane LOL
  12. Hmm seems to be a fluke. Tried again and it crashed... One more try... Don, No I'm not at least not as far as I can figure out. I'll pay more attention to the error before I report it to apple
  13. Hmm turning on texture compression, and now it seems to work. Lets see...
  14. Perhaps, but why would it not crash at LOWI?
  15. CRJ crashes to desktop when opening up at CYYZ. It seems to work at LOWI. When i go to move to CYYZ I get a CTD. New computer spec's as follows... 27 in iMac 3.4ghz intel core i7 (x4) 4gb 1333mhz ddr3 ram Chipset Model: AMD Radeon HD 6970M Type: GPU Bus: PCIe PCIe Lane Width: x16 VRAM (Total): 2048 MB Vendor: ATI (0x1002) Device ID: 0x6720 Revision ID: 0x0000 ROM Revision: 113-C2960K-152 EFI Driver Version: 01.00.507 Displays: iMac: Resolution: 2560 x 1440 Pixel Depth: 32-Bit Color (ARGB8888) Main Display: Yes Mirror: Off Online: Yes Built-In: Yes Connection Type: DisplayPort Yes I know about the scenery errors at YYZ. That should NOT be a problem. I was able to operate the CRJ just fine on my MBP out of YYZ, and I can currently operate other aircraft out of YYZ on my Imac. Log.txt CTD.txt
  16. Any word on the progress of NORCAL?
  17. Does this link expire? I can't seem to find it.
  18. Where did you get the MIA (FLL?) Scenery?
  19. That's not really true though, Real world pilots are given the winds and temperatures of reach fix on their Flight Plan. No figuring out the winds in the air. (How would they do that? hang a wind sock out the window?)
  20. Perhaps I am just over sensitive because I have been the victim of sexual harassment before. I stand by my viewpoint. Inappropriate is the best you can call it IMO. If the community feels otherwise then so be it. And Theo if you really can't see the difference between the two scenarios than nothing I can say will change your mind...
  21. Yes I am offended by that. Do you seriously think that if I were to show that to my FA friends that they would not find that offensive and demeaning? Further, he implies that it is "Known in the trade" implying that that this a widespread and common thing in the industry, and suggests that the industry tolerates if not condones such behaviour. It is an insult to pilots, FA's and the whole industry to imply that we are so unprofessional. It is also inappropriate on a public internet forum, and unbecoming of Simon to post such a thing. I Can quote from a dictionary too... de·grade (d-grd) v. de·grad·ed, de·grad·ing, de·grades v.tr. 1. To reduce in grade, rank, or status; demote. 2. To lower in dignity; dishonor or disgrace: a scandal that degraded the participants. 3. To lower in moral or intellectual character; debase. 4. To reduce in worth or value: degrade a currency.
  22. I'd love to see a fictional Fedex one. I know they use to fly little jets, and it would be neat.
  23. That's why you are supposed to review the waypoints beforehand. Just delete any that you don't want to fly.
