  1. Heh funny story how this happened. I saw a video here last week: So I said "Hey, I should make a photoreal underlay, and get that guy to re-do his video". I noticed the lead-in light bridges and stuff, and said "I betcha XP10 with a photoreal underlay would look almost the exact same"... Hence this file. Ive subsequently contacted the guy to re-do it as per my comment on his video.
  2. File Name: C77 Poplar Grove Illinois Photoreal File Submitter: chris k File Submitted: 04 Jan 2013 File Category: DSF Scenery Packages X-Plane Version(s): X-Plane 10 C77 Poplar Grove Photoreal Version 1.0, Jan 04, 2013 By: Chris K and the ISDG Group This scenery was made in request from a user named Becky Lynn, who is a new XP10 user (but not new to flying!) who was very surprised that nobody had taken this cute fly-in / live-in residential airport and updated it's taxiways since the beginning of time. I was about to walk through a quick learn tutorial with WED, but since this was a one-off, I decided to quickly update the taxiways myself. Since I had WED open anyways, I also decided to give it the "Photo Underlay" Treatment and spruce it up with some standard XP10 library objects at the same time. (Hangars, FBOs, etc.) Took about 2 hours to get done. Nothing fancy. Enjoy! ______________________________________ INSTALLATION: Copy to your /Custom Scenery/ Folder. ______________________________________ IMAGERY CREDIT: Orthophotos courtesy of the United States Geological Survey (USGS) The dataset uses the 30cm/pixel USGS HiRes Orthoimagery This Imagery is in the Public Domain as per: http://cumulus.cr.us...listofortho.php Copyrights and Credits USGS-authored or produced data and information are considered to be in the U.S. public domain. 4. nvm then
  5. Cant reporduce. (XP10.20b9, macOSX 10.8.2, nVidia 330M) Were you in HDR mode?
  6. Neat trick. testing now...
  7. err, you mean "How did you achieve those settings"? You have to restart for Gamma correction, BTW You could also encode a new gamma in the .PNG/.DDS file for the orthos. - CK.
  8. cough cough.... Botany Bay (-34+151.dsf).... cough cough... - CK.

  12. XSB does save your ID and password. Ensure you dont have a rights/permissions problem in your "Resources/Plugins/" directory. Works perfectly fine for me.
  13. Not yet. Known issue. Coming... the new autogen was only introduced 2 weeks ago.
  14. Hehe. Keith Wins. I had a feeling he would. - CK.
  15. Hah! No worries. Glad it was an easy fix!! (which is why I was directing you towards the "attributes" pane.. hopefully the "resource" name might have twinged your mind =)
  16. I assume you made these POL files yourself. i.e. the POL definition, the textures inside, the SIZE <x> <y> arguments, LOD 0 25000, etc... When you click on the POL and select it - whats in the bottom-right window (the Attributes window) in WED, in terms of the resource: line? (the scenery/WED project may have been hard-coded for a specific relative path that no longer exists on your HD) Do you still have your customized library.txt you made when you created your own POL library? Ensure your library.txt is there and has the right headers: A800LIBRARY Are you indeed exporting the .POL files into the library, or are you just using relative pathing within your own project/directory? i.e.: EXPORT /custom-pols/my-pol.obj MyLibrary/scenery/pols/my-pol.polCan you zip up and send us your project? (privately - wont go anywhere but us). Can have a look. - CK.
  17. Awesome news.!
  18. Me? I have no authority there... I'm just an end-user like yourselves. I was added to the leaders-list for simply answering a bunch-o-questions (and answering them correctly, heh) and general contribution (Scenery, tools, utilites, being generally helpful, etc..). ...never actively sought out or asked for the recognition explicity per se. -Ck
  19. Yup Keith. Agreed... even if it's VATSIM + Teamspeak or something like that.
  20. VATSIM/XSB is looking quite unlikely tho: http://www.xsquawkbox.net/xsb/2012/11/xsquawkbox-and-64-bit/ =(
  21. There's an existing KBLI from RoyalOak for v9. Ive had good success in allowing derivation rights form him. (NZCH is a good example) You could use his objects to help 'flush out' the scenery as well. Just a thought.
  22. Qutescoop is another one to see who's up: 3D rotating zoomable globe. Plots waypoints and flightplans too: http://qutescoop.sourceforge.net/
  23. VATSIM is all lit up at the moment. Just spent a 1 hour flight around SFO bay under multiple controllers; and a ton of cross traffic whizzing above my head. Gotta love it
  24. Try a different VATSIM server (pulldown Menu). As im in Ozzie land, I use the OCEANA one, but it doesnt matter which one you connect to. Sometimes a particular server is either having issues, or is overloaded with too many connections/users.
