  1. I was expecting the sundowner to be a little tricky to fly after seeing some posts about her and seeing sully's drop to tarmac vid but found her quite comfortable instead. The MU2 on the other hand - haha, what a b***h! going to be practicing smoother throttle control on landings - love it. the cessna is nice, but needs that patch to fix instrument markings.
  2. How many F-16s have 2 tail fins?

  4. Beautiful. I have the utmost respect for people with the skills, energy and perseverence to build a work of art like this. Thanks for sharing. Sorry I can't be of much help with your enquiries - last time I looked there were a plethora of 737 parts manufactured, but other stuff was harder to come by (airbus was picking up) Links for cockpit builder sites I have bookmarked: http://www.simvionics.co.uk http://www.mikesflightdeck.com/ http://www.mycockpit.org/forums/ http://www.opencockpits.com/index.php?newlang=english http://www.flightsimulatorcenter.com/Default.aspx http://www.flightdecksolutions.com/ http://www.737ngproject.be/GlareShield.htm
  5. I know what you're thinking, but it isn't me ;D

    Heinz 787

I own the abacus 787, and Heinz's offering certainly appears to be better than that (the abacus 787 doesn't have the cut aways in the engines, and the cockpit looks a little worse from memory). I don't think I'll get this one, because Heinz's cockpit does to me look 'cartoonish' and the textures inside and out appear too plain - as in plain colour. Best of luck to him with it though as I think he has surpassed his previous work with this one.
  7. Looks simply lovely javier
  8. Cheers wowee, *smacks forehead* don't know how I missed that
  9. Any chance of a new posts feature? This would have a 'new posts' link which when clicked would list all new posted threads only.
  10. Surprisingly, I know that some of the scenery comes from exactly this source, although i don't think the devs themselves are taking the photos
  11. I think that multi core comes into it's own when you start running other software on the box - FSCommander, Flight Logger etc etc In many cases you can offload these to other computers, but I find it more convenient to run it on the one machine.
  12. XPUIPC is a plugin designed to emulate the FSUIPC interface. http://www.tosi-online.de/XPUIPC.html I name this as a best of the best because of the number of applications it opens up including, but in no way limited to: FlightSim Commander - Excellent flight planning and moving map tool (note you'll need MSFS to grab an airport database from) http://www.fscommander.com/ Project Magenta (Home cockpit building) http://www.projectmagenta.com/ Blackbox Flight Logger FLight logger and Google Earth mapper http://www.utr-online.com/blackbox FSXpand External Instruments http://cockpitsolutions.com/ Virtual Airline Flight Loggers (Including my main VA - Euroharmony)

  13. I know what you mean - this is an x-plane issue, rather than a REX one. Here's hoping for v10
  14. I think that's a sig... TOBS = Tom
  15. It's automatic, just leave REX open.
  16. Odd. I downloaded it twice with no joy - the American pack opened fine for me.
  17. Some nice texturing there.
  18. I prefer to land on the back ones first... call me conventional. ;D
  19. I found a bug! Yay me. Missing textures anyrate. Unfortunately, the european livery pack I can't open - just get 7zip throwing the error "cannot open as archive"
  20. After my overrun at FZNA, I dumped the fuel and hovered at about 144ias for this one. Luckily it wasn't raining this time, so stopping was nice and short at OYHD
  21. You'll run it fine. Performance will be much, much smoother than in FSX. I run at 1920x1200 with most settings up high (texture res is my main feature, the others I'm not too bothered about) and your GPU is faster than mine (4870) and your i5 is clocked up at the same as my i7 is. You have less ram than me, but it prob wont be an issue. Just make the effort to stick with it, It took me a little while to go from missing the things FSX has that x-plane doesn't to where I am now - missing what x-plane has that FSX doesn't and not caring about the rest.
  22. Ah, k. It's still a great plane. Lookign forward to v5 after I grab v4
  23. does it have a 3d vc?
