  1. What about some in-sim shots? Enjoy them! (and keep in mind, still WORKS-IN-PROGRESS)
  2. Do you think that an animated preview might be a bit better than just still pictures?
  3. Hi to all! A new screenshot from our work in Mykonos update. Enjoy!
  4. More screenshots here: http://asn-xp.aerosoft.com/?page_id=10533 Enjoy!
  5. We are announcing today that our team is developing Manchester Airport (EGCC) in collaboration with Aerosoft. Here are the first renders. Enjoy!
  6. I'm happy to announce that we are working on an update for our Mykonos Airport. This update is mainly focused on: - Adding more buildings, specially at rwy 16 final. - Optimized textures for better frame rates. - 3D grass (local varieties). - New ultra high definition, tarmac/asphalt textures. Here is a smaple:
  7. No need to apologies! Trying to inform and not judge! Cheers!
  8. I'm not Austin or Ben Supnik but... there will not be any kind upgrade from v10. As was not such thing from v9 to v10.
  9. Aegean 737NG (x737 - fictional livery) ready for departure from Mykonos.
  10. In case you missed it... go to the link below and check ASN X-Plane news review of our airport! Enjoy! http://asn-xp.aerosoft.com/?page_id=9871
  11. Assuming that you want to edit an aircraft and not start one from scratch... You can open the aircraft in Planemaker and put in your data. Also if you have airfoil data you can edit or make a new airfoil in Airfoil-Maker. Cautions: 1. Do not do anything to a pay ware aircraft. Those are fine tuned by the developers and you probably you are going to break it! And then you cannot ask for support. 2. Always backup the aircraft before start doing anything! 3. Put in some data, does not that the aircraft will behave automatically like the real thing. There are "countless" factors to have in mind! 4. Do not get discourage if is not ok from the start.
  12. At blender Scene menu/X-Plane there is an optimize check box. It optimizes the mesh for exporting, though it take more time to export. Use the less vertices as possible. I.e. a column (cylinder) should be more than ok with 12 faces (even less). About the same for spheres. For curve surfaces always use smooth shading in blender. That passes to X-Plane as well. Another thing is to delete faces that will not so up. Like the cylinder should be open on top and bottom since the one will be inside the ground and the other inside the sphere (if I have correctly understand what you are trying to do).
  13. You should check at USGS site if you can do so. You can download them free, but I do not remember about the usage.
  14. .15 m/pixel is a great resolution for orthophotos. In our scenery, Mykonos, we used .5m/pixel. Adding the right decals, should make them look even better. The negative is that at the limit of orthophotos with the default scenery, the difference is very obvious. In our scenery we had the advantage that Mykonos is an island and the limits are well defined by the sea.
  15. Thanks a lot guys! Fantastic video and flying! I would like to address the 2 things that jigglyb2 mentioned. The placement of the A320 was done after a lot of research. This "big" aircraft (for Mykonos they are big!) normally park at this location. The reason is that these aircrafts (and specially normal flights like Aegean) are just disembarking and embarking passengers and leave the airport is generally short times. That locations allows other aircrafts (like biz-jets) to maneuver and park to more permanent positions, specially during summer when traffic is heavier. About the building placement, one of our major concerns was to make this scenery package as frame-rate friendly as possible, without to sacrifice to the whole experience. And this to almost the whole range of computer specs. Some technical stuff. The buildings are "instancing-friendly" as possible. That means that the most video cards can render a lot of objects without significant penalty on frame rates. So, we choose to represent almost to a scale of 1:1 the buildings around the airport and the nearby town/villages, but still maintain a safe performance margin. Now, if the reality shows that that margin (or headroom) is quite big, we might add more buildings in a future update/upgrade.
  16. Aerosoft has released the airport! Enjoy!
