  1. Ah, Andy....notice I didn't use the word "difficult". I said "tedious" and "time consuming".
  2. We would LOVE to make a Royal Turbine Duke. However, information on the aircraft conversion is extremely difficult to find.
  3. Quite a post. I did see your comments before and when I see comments that have a somewhat negative undertone, I usually don't reply. First, it's very unlikely we're going to make more Citations any time soon. After the Saab and Citation, we have another 2 (possibly 3) add ons planned...1 of which is the 742. Modern glass cockpits and systems are extremely tedious and time consuming to make. A perfect example of this is the Saab 340. We COULD make a lite version, but we don't want to go down that road anymore. Everything we make from the Saab onwards will be "procedure level". The turboprop market is one we have been seriously considering on exploiting. In our down time, we have been looking at various turboprops and found some very interesting ones we would like to create. With 1 in particular that caught our attention. (Don't ask, coz we ain't telling!) As for developing for FSX or any other platform...that is extremely unlikely. We have our own reservations to not develop for FSX and I don't really want to go criticizing it on certain points. I'm sure it is a great platform for users and developers alike, but for us, based on what we know about it, it lacks certain features that are readily available in X-Plane. Weather radar being just one example.
  4. Apparently, this is taken from an actual Qantas maintenance sheet. P is the Pilot reporting the problem and S is "Solutions" marked by the engineers. P: Left inside main tyre almost needs replacement. S: Left inside main tyre almost replaced. P: Test flight OK, auto-land very rough. S: Auto-land not installed on this aircraft. P: Something loose in cockpit. S: Something tightened in cockpit. P: Dead bugs on windshield. S: Live bugs on back order. P: Auto pilot in altitude-hold mode produces a 200 feet per minute descent. S: Can't reproduce problem on the ground. P: Evidence of leak on right main landing gear. S: Evidence removed. P: DME volume unbelievably loud. S: DME volume set to more believable level. P: Friction locks cause throttle levers to stick. S: That's what friction locks are for. P: IFF inoperative in OFF mode. S: IFF always inoperative in OFF mode. P: Suspect crack in windshield. S: Suspect you're right. P: Number 3 engine missing. S: Engine found on right wing after brief search. P: Aircraft handles funny. S: Aircraft warned to straighten up, fly right and be serious. P: Target radar hums. S: Reprogrammed target radar with lyrics. P: Mouse in cockpit. S: Cat installed in cockpit. P: Noise coming from under instrument panel. Sounds like a midget pounding on something with a hammer. S: Took hammer away from midget.
  5. I will have a look at this and maybe reduce the ground friction. Keep in mind, the ground modelling in X-Plane MIGHT be somewhat suspect. I'm not pointing any fingers, but it seems the gravel or dirt runways restrict take off speed a lot more than it should be. I'll see if I can find some kind of compromise between hard surface and soft surface runways. The one major problem is, if I reduce ground friction, the DC-3 is almost impossible to stop on hard surface runways.
  6. A turboprop DC-3. I can imagine the engineer's meeting on that one. No promises, but we'll see. We have a full plate for at least the next 12 months.
  7. When you finally have it, you will see where all the hours have gone into it.
  8. The 744 is extremely complex. We literally have gigabytes of documents and videos on this aircraft and to transfer all of that into an add on will take quite a while as it will be study level.
  9. Hi Patrick The DC-3 has been looked at with Gizmo 13 and 64 bit XP, and some issues have been identified which have since been fixed. Jim has been very generous in cleaning up a big chunk of the code for us a few weeks ago. Still a few other things need looking at but we will have a 64 bit DC-3 available not long after the Saab is out. Leen, that's some hobby you got there!
  10. Everything we make will include a paintkit. We will never restrict anyone from making their own repaints.
  11. Definitely maybe!
  12. My wife said the exact same thing about 2 months ago.
  13. X-Aviation only.
  14. We started doing it for XP9 and XP10 mid last year, but we soon realized that XP9 doesn't have the features we needed to make it as realistic as we HAVE made it.
  15. It's a rough road, but we're getting very close!
  16. Enjoy it, Andy! Many thanks to all of you for the kind comments! The update will be getting an overhaul in the code department, thanks to Jim.
  17. I actually did take a bunch of them (8 of them, actually), but I wasn't happy with them. Notice I did say I would try to get a couple of them posted.
  18. Tutorial is nearly done. Just to give you an idea, the first 75 pages cover engine start up and initial climb out.
  19. Try this. http://vimeo.com/24245513
  20. I'll take a bunch of screenshots tonight and try to get a couple of them posted tomorrow.
  21. Yep! We have a few things to update you on. But not just yet.
  22. I might post 1 or 2 from my weekend flying.
  23. Dozer, if you knew Jim, you would know what he would go through just to make sure the smallest thing is accurately programmed.
  24. Definitely not cancelled. But seeing as it is a very complex aircraft, it's safe to say it'll be a while before we can begin to say it's nearly ready.
