  1. Nothing shell-like in these systems. Everything is being coded to just about 100% accuracy (according to the documentation we have) based on flow charts and schematics. It's not a case of "if switch is turned on, then illuminate this light bulb." It's "if switch is turned on, activate relay, close circuit, etc, etc, etc and turn on light bulb" (My version of code). Too early to mention any kind of feature list, but it's very safe to say that people will be very happy at what we have included.
  2. I'm sure there are SOME airlines who do it the way it was done in the film.
  3. No problem, pinky. Just letting you know where we stand
  4. It is? No one told me. On a more serious note...I would really appreciate it if people wouldn't speculate on the progress of our add ons. The Saab was considered vaporware by many people and we shut them up when it was released. Something as complex as the 747-200 isn't something we can whip up in 6-12 months. Complex airliners take several years to get right. Unfortunately, we cannot dedicate all our time to this project because we need some income coming in, which is why we're doing these smaller aircraft (Citation, Saab, etc...) and the 747 is being worked on occasionally on the side. This WAS going to be a LITE add on, but that's not the road LES is taking any longer. We're committed to creating procedure level add ons that are AS complex as the real aircraft (or VERY close to it). If there is any news to share about this aircraft's future, including it's status as vaporware, it will be done by either myself, Jim, Theo or Cameron. Until then, this project is still on the table and is still planned for release some time in the future.

  6. We'd rather not give out release dates. We gave out a release week for the Saab, which we were not able to meet due to some unforeseen bugs that we wanted to fix for initial release and quite a few people were getting frustrated and calling the Saab vaporware. We'll keep posting screenshots and a video or 2, and when it's in the store, we'll make a post in these forums.
  7. If I bought an add on that was advertised as UHD, and it wasn't, I wouldn't be happy with what I have. Not by any stretch.
  8. It would be far more impressive if you did it in FSX. (tongue firmly planted in cheek!)
  9. I'm glad someone mentioned this. Not to mention someone who actually understands texture sizes and resolution. I've had many head shaking moments when I read about Ultra High Definition Textures in other add ons.
  10. Try scrapping your preferences. Go to: X-Plane 10/Output/preferences Take every single file out of there and put them somewhere safe outside of the X-Plane folder. Restart X-Plane and let it rebuild your preferences. Then load the Saab. If this works, permanently delete your old preferences. You will have to set up your hardware again. If it DOES NOT work, move your preferences files back to the preferences folder.
  11. There have been a few rare occasions where people have reported this, but in all cases, it was because the Condition Levers were too far forward (past max). Also, I only just saw your screenshot, and it appears your Prop RPM is way too low for the Power setting and Condition Lever setting. Not sure why this is happening, but that is why you're moving too slow. Have you tried restarting the sim? Do you have any other plug ins that might be interfering with Gizmo in any way? In some cases, these issues can be resolved by reinstalling the add on.
  12. Make sure the Condition Levers are not FULLY forward. Full forward position is Torque Lock. There is a detent just before that and that detent is full position.
  13. No problem. All updates will be posted here, so keep checking back.
  14. Just to possibly satisfy your curiosity. Of course, we're limited to X-Planes handling of sounds, but they're pretty close.
  15. As far as I know, we haven't had anyone else complain about the sounds sounding like an "old windmill". Here's a video showing the exterior with engines running that sound like a, well, a DC-3. The sounds were recorded in stereo, from a real DC-3 by Vance Dylan at Sonic Solutions. No, there is nothing you can do to change them and we have no plans on doing anything further with them. Hope that answers your question.
  16. I'm pretty sure you'll like this one. We have a Citation pilot helping us with photos, documentation and testing. He flies the Citation to other countries like I drive my car to other suburbs. We've done things to this one that will put a smile on people's faces. It really is a fun aircraft to fly. No problem. I might post a screenshot soon. Just to show what we got working.
  17. Still moving forward. Lots of code going on. Nothing really to show yet as it's all systems/under the hood stuff.
  18. Try again. Don't know why, but it wasn't in the folder I had it in. I've now replaced it. Link will work.
  19. ie. It's just delayed. The update, as far as what we have to do, is finished and all files have been submitted. The rest is in Cameron's hands. Repackaging. Gizmo stuff. All that logistical nightmarish stuff.
  20. I've checked the diagrams I used when I made the flight model, and they match up when overlaying the flight model from Planemaker with the diagrams. I'm going to follow it up but I need to get the documents from the airport where the Duchess is parked.
  21. I'll have to have a look at the specs and the flight model to make sure. If it IS incorrect, I'll get an updated file out.

I'll be doing some checks on the flight model and making adjustments in the coming days.
  23. I never forget about the more important things in the world. I stared death in the face and I'm still here. Believe me, when you go through what I went through, you look at things very differently.
  24. This actually happened a little while ago. I won't mention any names, but a developer decided to sell his own add ons and publish for a small handful of other developers. There were problems with the add on and soon after, the developer just up and disappeared. People left with "broken aircraft" and no channels of communication. Publishers who's sole responsibility is publishing aircraft are very much needed. Developers have enough on their plate without having to answer support emails. We'd never get any work done.
