  1. Thanks Alex! With regards to the wing resolution, we've used up all 3D object spots for this aircraft. To split the wings and make a texture for each of them would push us over the limit that X Plane has placed. However, as I understand it, the latest update in X Plane10 ONLY, has allowed for 4096 x 4096 texture maps. That gives us twice the resolution. So we can fit both wings on one 4096 texture map and have double the resolution. I'll talk to Theo and he'll elaborate some more and give you an answer to your question.
  2. Noted. I might wait for other things that are of a cosmetic nature (ie. easy things that even I can do) that might crop up or that people want, and I can add them all into a big update. Maybe an end of week update. It'll save people from having to download a 300MB+ installer each time an update is issued. Glad you're enjoying it!
  3. Very nice screenshots! Glad you're enjoying it!
  4. Thanks for the catch on the Fuel Gauge. It has been fixed. Expect a new download link in about 20 minutes. Either Cameron or myself will post again when the installer is updated. Thanks again! EDIT: Fixed and uploaded. Please download the new installer in your account.
  5. A prize? Yes. Make it down to Australia and I'll buy you a beer. Anyway, just been fixed. It'll be uploaded shortly.
  6. I just noticed that myself, literally 3 minutes ago. The ON/OFF is reversed. For now, keep the inverter switch in the OFF position. We'll log that one for the first update.
  7. Can you PM me the version of X Plane this is happening in, and the exact procedure you are using with as much detail as possible?
  8. I'll need some more details. Are you trying to use trim while the AP is engaged? Are you trying to steer the AP with the yoke instead of the AP knobs on the Sperry Panel? Once the AP is engaged, you are not to touch any hardware controls you have. You will need to control the aircraft using ONLY the dedicated Roll, Yaw and Pitch knobs on the AP panel.
  9. Wow, thanks Javier. That means a lot! Muchas Gracias, Amigo! Thanks and you're welcome, NR! A lot has been put into this. Much more than we originally anticipated! We had to jump quite a few hurdles, but I'm ecstatic with how it turned out.
  10. I originally created this DC-3 flight model as a properly designed tail dragger. At pretty much the 11th hour, it was decided to make it fully controllable using the rudder pedals/joystick. This was done purely because it IS a very difficult aircraft to handle on taxi, take-off and landing. It requires a combination of engine thrust management and toe brakes. But what I have decided is to write up instructions on how to do this yourself, should you wish to do so. It is VERY easy to do and will take literally less than a minute. The tail-wheel is already animated to follow steering commands as it is now or to freely rotate if it was set in the flight model. If interested in doing your own mods, download the document and follow the instructions. PLEASE, follow the instructions precisely and do not change or modify anything else in the flight model. http://dl.dropbox.com/u/1192596/Tail%20Dragger.pdf Any questions, please just ask. Happy Flying! Goran
  11. Hi Robert Unfortunately, because the Autopilot has quite a significant amount of code added to it, the STEC55 will most likely not be able to be integrated into it. I'm not saying it's impossible, but highly unlikely. We could do it from our end, but it would require a re-write of the AP code. Goran
  12. Hi Jo It was originally a free-castoring tail dragger, but as it is a very hard aircraft to taxi using just toe brakes and engine thrust, we decided to make it a steerable aircraft at practically the last minute. This is what is most likely affecting the tail wheel lock control. I will, however, depending on customer response, add an updated acf file that allows people to taxi the aircraft like a tail dragger. We'll see what response is like. The door is located right behind the cockpit on the left side of the aircraft, right before the bathroom. There is a clickspot on the handle. EDIT: I have written up a set of instructions on making the tail wheel lock work properly by changing the flight model tail wheel to a free-castoring type. http://forums.x-pilot.com/index.php/topic/3147-turning-the-dc-3-into-a-true-tail-dragger/
  13. Ha, Simon Nah. No joke. Have to say, though...it's been a very interesting year!
  14. Thanks Karingka! Much appreciated!
  15. Both Theo and myself would like to thank you all for the positive feedback during this project. I can tell you it's had a lot of highs and a few lows, but it was all well worth it. We're definitely VERY happy with how this aircraft turned out in every aspect of its development and we look forward to seeing you all enjoy flying it as much as we have enjoyed creating it. If you have any questions regarding its performance or the aircraft in general, please don't hesitate to ask in this support section. All the best and see you in our next projects forums! 17. Looks great, Javier! I'll keep an eye on this one.
  18. The only thing I can think of is because of the Q400 they are selling and maybe you're stepping on some toes. IF it is that, it's kinda pathetic. I certainly hope I'm wrong.
  19. lol Glen Testing, testing and more testing. (Nearly finished) We're getting VERY close.
  20. Hang on. Why do you have to apologize for saying you're going to work on a Q300??
  21. I'll be able to show something soon. A couple of small issues came up during testing and we're just sorting those out first.
  22. C++... Gizmo...
  23. Hefty project. Good luck!
  24. I had a bit of a "wow" moment myself when I was going through these tests for the exact reasons you describe. Happy it's been cleared up.
