To be honest, I don't remember if it was mentioned in the manuals. But it is mentioned in these forums somewhere. It was one of the first questions we were asked when people assumed it was a bug. We were going to add a clickspot for it to be able to tap it with the mouse and then it springs to life. But it proved, at the time, impossible. We might revisit that idea in the future, but I make no promises.

If you're comparing the Dc-3 to the Saab, then the answer to this question is the Saab is a turboprop. The DC-3 is a standard engine. That's why the Saab takes longer to start.

The bottom compass displays the current heading. The top compass is adjustable and you set it to the heading you want to fly, then adjust your heading to follow it under autopilot. When both compasses are aligned, then you are flying the autopilot heading

T/M is the position to mechanically lock out the torque motor. This has not been modeled.

The 1900D is a strong possibility and is on the shortlist after the Citation. The 742 is a long term project. Not something we want to rush just to get it out. It'll be a good one.

The nosewheel has been noted. My time is extremely limited until next friday and I am only able to check the forums for anything LES related for about 30-60 minutes each day. After next Friday, things will return to normal and I can start working on the nosewheel and other things as per normal. A fix for the nosewheel will come shortly after that.

Dash 8 is a turboprop. If you knew what we went through with the Saab, you would know what I mean when I say NO MORE TURBOPROPS! At least for now.

I'll check the nosewheel again. I did fix it...or at least I thought I did. Flaps shouldn't be breaking at incorrect speeds...as per the TCDS.

The taxi light and landing lights are custom lights that only work with HDR on. You will find the same with the cabin overhead lights and map lights. This is the same as Version 1 of the Saab.

Valentin I've said it before on another forum, and I'll say it here...if people like "ointment" decide to come in here and start slapping the staff, then he can expect to be slapped back. We don't mind criticism, but we don't appreciate it when it's given in a disrespectful way. If anyone has a problem, state the problem, provide a link, screenshot, quotes and then we can take it further. Saying we are as bad as Brett, that's blatantly crossing the line.

Your example is invalid. There is no way you can tell me that X-Pilot "staff" are even in the same area of being rude or disrespectful to customers and visitors as the org staff is. They even banned 2 of their own developers. 1 from the shoutbox and 1 from the entire site. However, in saying that, by all means, if you think we're being rude or unhelpful, go to x-plane.org if you feel they're more helpful and courteous.

Why shouldn't they? There have been 1 or 2 instances at avsim where Cameron and XA were portrayed in a bad light from disgruntled customers. Within hours, Cameron went over there to set the record straight and was praised for doing so.
