    TBM900 Autopilot

Hello Goran, We discussed briefly about a week ago a couple issues I have with the latest version. Hadn't flown it at all since the last update till recently. This version the autopilot will not follow "heading" or "nav" though it does capture altitude. I have spent considerable time trying to figure out why including redownloading. I have real world G1000 time in a king air so I am somewhat familiar with the G1000. Not sure where to go with this. I have wondered if I am simply missing something but the TBM is not that complicated a machine though we are all human. Also in another communication I mentioned just how easy it is to crash this aircraft on touchdown. Never had these problems on the previous version. I quite like this aircraft so please do not take these comments as a complaint. In fact if god were to smile on me and provide a winning lottery ticket i would like a real TBM900/930/940 in my hangar. Cheers, Dave
  2. Is it possible to get access to a download for the previous version .... 1.1.12. I hadn't flown the time much in the better part of a year and I'm having issues I'm not smart enough to fix. Besides the previous one worked fine for me. If not I guess I'll park this one and wait for the next update.
  3. Thanks for your reply. I realize you are under pressure from the Avsim CL650 forum. I can assure you I am not driving the tbm into the ground when landing. Maybe I can see if I have a previous version of it stored, blow this one off, and try it. I've hardly flown the tbm since the last update for this reason.
  4. Thanks for your patience....Is there any way to make it less sensitive to crashes. I just did a landing i know* would be fine in the real world but once again it burst into flame. *Retired 40 year pilot.
  5. It is a great aircraft. I find it a little on the sensitive side for landing especially in pitch.......and then bang.
  6. Greetings. I sometimes crash on landing and then have to either go through the repairing process or start a new airframe. Is there a way to turn damage off? Many thanks. Dave
  7. Very nice Calm Air livery. I spent lots of time in that particular machine. Many thanks.
  8. Thank you. Must have missed it. Age thing I guess. Thanks for the quick response. dave
  9. Where do we select this? dave

Thanks David. Well, we've got it going now. It is a great airplane for XP11. Cheers.

Thanks so much for the reply. Figured it out with help. Showing my age perhaps. To me it wasn't intuitive and that is a reflection on my computer abilities only.

This is the only aircraft that has required me to Name my computer each time I have reinstalled another version, this time 1.6.3, I guess I have been required to rename my computer but as usual I make something up as I can't remember what I used the last time. So these are all for the same computer. What do I do now? What does "FREEZE Forever" my computer mean? This sounds ominous. How do I get past this point? Thanks.
  13. About 20-22 years ago I was a captain on the Saab at Calm Air. Nice to see someone remembers those days. Great place to work then. Great pilot’s airplane. Arnold was still involved. I found him a great guy.....you’d have never known he was the President....just a normal guy.

    main cabin door

Found the one inside, pressed and the door closed. Many thanks. As to button outside about all I could see to the right of the door was a silver "button" but nothing happened when pressed. Thanks again. Great aircraft you guys have made.

    main cabin door

I am unable to close this door (on the ground, before start-up of engine) using payload panel...actually I can't get it closed period. I've looked in the docs that came with this aircraft and have been unable to find a solution. Any assistance would be appreciated. Thanks. Dave
  16. No. Example....Throttles do not work properly where my settings work fine for every other aircraft. Engine indications are erratic. There is not a section that I can find...and I have looked....relating to the saab. Other controls do not respond normally. I am wondering now if my download is corrupt. Infact i have for the most part parked this aircraft and I'm really hoping your next patch is not too far down the road.
  17. In my settogs > All >Keyboard..... I do not have a selection for LES
  18. Rob, thanks. Got it figured out now. Most appreciated. Dave
  19. Thanks Rob. Got the synthetic vision working and it's pretty good. I can't find the radar selection...it's been 3+ years since I flew the Garmin 1000 and I simply can't remember. if you'd guide me I'd be grateful. I tried multiple combinations of soft keys but simply my throwing darts did not hit the right square, LOL. Thanks. Dave
  20. • Integrated Synthetic Vision into the PFD with obstacle display, navigation pathways, airport labels and TAWS-B integration Been through the manuals and may have missed it...But how do I access it? Also, how do I select the weather radar? I have rw time on the G1000 but finding it here is escaping me. Any assistance would be great. If I have missed it in the manuals I apologize in advance.......Thanks. Dave
  21. Calm Air International...... of Winnipeg, Manitoba, Canada. I would sure like one of these liveries. I flew the B & B+ for a few years there about 20 years ago. Routes used to go north into the Arctic. In October one could start in Winnipeg at +20'C and finish 7-8 hours later in Baker Lake (CYBK) (4000' gravel) in blizzard at -20'C after doing a vor/dme or ndb approach to get in sometimes circling at night with 1-2 miles viz - no gps approaches for this company in those days. If you liked variation in your flying Calm Air International was the place to be.....plus the pilots were represented by ALPA. The SF340 was/is a very capable pilot's airplane. Saab produced a gravel kit for the company for this purchase of new aircraft. After i left they started SF340 service to yet another arctic community (CYUT) with 3400' of gravel. More than a few of these runways had quite a good slope to them. Great aircraft. If you did your part the aircraft would do its part.
  22. I did look in the X-P 11 key assignment section and the only thing I saw was to assign a key to "magnetic locks".If you have a moment to provide a little more detailed info that would be great. Thanks. By the was thank you for the weekend sale.
  23. I flew this machine for a few years in the rw many years ago. I know how to release them in the real aircraft but can’t figure out how to do it in this sim......probably staring me in the face but darned if I can figure out....... is there an additional key stroke I’m missing? any assistance would be really appreciated. Thanks. dave
