Hi there, ive been running into this issue reacently where the ac/dc utility switch does not work and continuously shows OFF even when pressed in or out with aircraft electrically fully on. I have uninstalled the aircraft multiple times but the problem persists. Any thoughts?

Very much, just set the ignition knob to GRD and add fuel, she’ll come alive in no time

So its definitely a bug. This was happening woth the electrinc engine instrumenta but when i switched to the steam gauges, it works fine.

Hi there, not sure if it has to do with the version of xp11 im on (11.51br3) or it is bug introduced that went unnoticed (I remember this used to work flawlessly). So I just recently noticed that with parking break set and all hydraulic power soruces off, recycling the parking break use to deplete the brake accumulator PSI down to the red arc after about 3-4 cycles and now it is pegged at around 3200PSI and does not move. Is this on my end or perhaps someone else can confirm this behavior?

Thanks for the reply Jan! Ok I will give it a shot with default XP wx engine to ser how that goes.

Hi there, just wondering, I’ve seen the NGs with an alternate nosewheel steering switch on the captains side when Sys A pressure is lost, however, I dont see this switch in the ixeg 737. Do the classics not have this or was it simply not modelled in ixeg 737? How would you steer on ground if you lose system A? Another question I have is, when you have lost Hyd syst B pressure, how do you activate alternate braking? Is this automatically picked up by syst A pressure? thanks!

That is correct, I have the flap lever being controlled by one of the axes in my throttle quadrant. Ill double check the axis sensitivity curve and recalibrate to rule out these possibilities.

Hello, upon departure using TOGA, followed by LVL CHG up to flaps up maneuvering speed, I proceeded to engage VNAV and expected aircraft to accelerate to 250IAS, I noticed the aircraft wanting to maintain flaps up maneuvering speed of 220 so I went to the CLB page and noticed an odd speed restriction which clearly I never put in. Then, as I was up in the FL's, I suddenly got a Gizmo error (see image attached). Its the first time this ever happens to me out of many hours. Any thoughts? I had to continue my climb using LVL CHG up til CRZ and then everything worked out.

Hi there, So I've noticed during my last flight that the wx radar is not depicting TS cells per weather injected to XP11 by ASXP. In the image attached, you can see I am going through a cell but the radar barely picks up any light intensity echoes. I played with the tilt with no different results. Never got any red or yellow. Is there something I am not doing right? Is ASXP not compatible?

Hi, i usually alter different aircrafts and the only one that uses the exp flight model is IXEGand many times i forget to untick this before loading another aircraft only to find out on takeoff the aircraft acts wacky, which entails reloading the aircraft and lose all the stuff i had already done. Is there a way I can configure ixeg 737 to automatically have this option enabled so that it is disabled in mu general settings ?

Hello, I was going through some flight control checks and noted that I was able to manually trim the aircraft using the control wheel trim switches in the opposite direction to the control column movement (trim down whilst control column aft) and the system should stop the electric trim motor but it kept on going. This system is not modeled? As a result, the the STAB TRIM Override switch in the aft pedestal, though its clickable, essentially does nothing when moved to the override position since its intention in the aircraft applies to a situation currently not modeled, that is, to prevent the elec stab trim motor from stopping when column and trim movements oppose. Would this be hard to incorporate? Amazong simulation, best in xp11 so far, nor intending to nitpick, just an observation and perhaps something that can add even more realism to an already immersive and very well modeled aircraft. Cheers

Oh, ok thanks for the clarification!

Same here, I wonder if we can get some insight from the developers, I see it has not been said anything about it yet we cant download the default liveries...

Hi! So, on last flight I had an interesting observation for which I have a doubt and perhaps someone can shed some insight. i was on the ground with wing tanks all full and CTR tank had only about 750lb. I turned the ctr tank fuel pumps for taxi but forgot to turn them off for takeoff since they should be off for takeoff and climb when it has less than a 1,000lb (i may be wrong though). Anyways, during the initial climbout, the fuel warning came on but it was going on and off (every 10s or so) the master caution I glimpsed at the fuel gauges, noticed the ctr tank has about 170lbs, i then looked up and noticed that both low pressure lights for the ctr tank where cycling on and off, as I had already evidenced by the master caution. By the time I flicked the pumps off, the ctr tank fuel amount was about 120lbs. Once off (both pumps), i noticed how, over a period of maybe 15mins or perhaps a little more, the fuel amount dwindled down to 0lbs in the tank. My doubt then is, if the pumps are off, why would the fuel from the ctr tank continue to be consumed (at a very low low rate). Is this a bug or a feature?

As the title says. I assume this could be a quick n easy fix. Could it be implemented in next update? also, could it be possible to have the ref speed carrots on the ASI to be all moved together to the 60kt location. I assume these get reseted after landing? If so, why not start with them as in the real world youd see it when getting into a cold n darl?

I have found they are still there but yes, they show less. Perhaps its just a visual just as in real life where you dont percieve the movement across in the air quite as fast as when you are on ground

Pitot FAILURE Leads to OVERSPEED
mizra108 replied to Torbinator's topic in Flight Procedures and Techniques
I’ve been looking for a way to get unpredictable subtle failures to challenge myself In systems knowledge and procedures (not particularly looking for catastrophic engine failures or things of that nature, just subtle things like the one you had) but have no idea how to get them to be random or for it to be subtle failures of systems. Im curious to know what do you use to get those failures. thanks! Mark -
Hi there, wondering if someone can explain to me the logic behind the switch that tests an overheat condition vs the one that overrides the temp control and powers the heat to the window. Based on the FCOM, when switch is selected to OVHT with window heat switches ON, it simulates an overheat condition and therefore the OVERHEAT lights come ON and power to the window heat is removed after about a minute. On the other hand, when switch is selected to PWR TEST, it will apply power to the windows if any of the windows is not being provided heat so as to be able verify it is indeed working. Well, as it turns out, in the ixeg 737, the behavior of the switch when placed in the PWR TEST simulates the overheat condition instead of simulating it when the switch is actually placed in the OVERHEAT position. Then, when switch is placed in the OVHT position, it does not seem to do anything at all. I wonder if this was modeled in reverse or is it something particular to this 733 model that was simulated.

Hi there, if I may squeeze into this conversation too as I just recently started experiencing the micro stutters/twitching, all of a sudden and for no known reason as I have not changed xp versions, nor upgraded the aircraft prior to getting the stutters which were not there before on prior flights. I am running 11.50RC3 with vulkan enabled and 1.33 on the aircraft. Regardless of stuttering, FPS is always pegged at 60 as I have V-sync enabled. I tried uninstalling and reinstalling the aircraft but that did not change anything. It seems to be IXEG related as I swaped aircraft and stutters went away. I'm also using Gizmo beta. Oh and I did disable the wx switch but that did not change the stuttering. Any suggestions?

Hi Litjan, thanks for your quick response and valuable insight! With respect to the FMS resetting, I did notice that changing the origin resets the flight plan, I was just not sure why was it doing it automatically sometimes and other times it was not. I thought the logic for resetting the FMC used weight on wheels. Knowing that it depends on GS now, it begs the question: What if I have a RTO beyond 80kts, as the speed depletes below 60kts would the FMC reset everything then? Another thing I want to point out which I just remembered, while on ground during turnaround, I create the new flt plan in simbrief and download the fms file so that i can simply type in the co-route in the CDU, but oddly, i get a message displayed in the the CDU stating that the route was not found (it is strange since the FMS file location of the downloaded flt plan is the same as that for the initial leg, which did not give me an error. In regards to the TO warning horn going off, what you mention about the speedbreak is exactly the culprit,as it remember noticing one of the spoilers only just up slightly, which I found odd. Weird part is that my mapped lever work flawlessly so not sure why it did not go fully down after retraction after landing. I will test this to see if I can figure it out but appreciate the insight as this points me in the right direction. Once again, thank you!

I tend to do turnarounds most often and during these turnarounds I’ve noticed a couple things, which hopefully can be addressed: - FMC does not always recognize a landing and therefore FPLN Legs data and perf data does not erase, so essentially the fmc remains programmed. It has happened that it erases all the data automatically but it does not do so predictably and its rare. Is this realistic? - Once aircraft Is taking Off after the turnaround, the TO warning horn sounds throughout the takeoff roll even though aircraft is correctly configured (parking break off, trim in green band, flaps set, etc etc) and turns off as soon as wheels off the ground. This only happens on turnarounds, not on a initial leg. - Another minor bug I’ve noticed, is that crew oxygen level starts at say 1600psi as read off the gauge in the ovhd panel, and once off the ground, it starts to depleet throught the flight, often reaching 800-900psi. As soon as I land, the gauge reads 1600psi again. - This is not a bug, but just an ibservation. Not sure if this aircraft is the same as the NG but if remember correctly, when you first add AC pwr to the aircraft from a cold n dark state, it could take the aircraft some minutes before the stick shaker warning test buttons would do anything (cant remember the reasons why) but ive noticed that on this classic, it works instantaneously, is this accurate? thanks!

Hi there, I'm looking for a painter who can make a great livery of my favorite and local airline. Now I know they fly the NG's, so it would be fictional but want to be able to enjoy my favorite xp11 add-on.

Hi! i was going through the supplementary procedure ‘Auto Trip and Standby Check’ taken from the FCOM and all was working fine up until I selected the Pressurization Mode Selector to Check, AUTO FAIL and STANDBY lights illuminated but the outflow valve stayed in the Closed position. Is this system not modelled to this level of depth or is this peocedure not apply to this version? thanks!
