  1. WWWWWWWWWWWWWWHHHHHHHHHHHHAAAAAAAAAAATTTTTTTTTTT ???????????????? Is it a joke ? What hapenned :o :o :o :o
  2. Yeah but you're a lucky one Jim it's well known ;-) Cheers
  3. It truly depends of what you have, and what is your definition of obsolete ... Regarding X-Plane, I would say every PC, even the best hardware is obsolete hehe
  4. Laminar and their team mates are always hard at work that's nice to see !
  5. What is this old Caravan with a two bladed prop ? ( at least disc )
  6. ... if it can be lightyears better than what would come from stock XP10, why not ? Many sims out there ( FSX being the first ) are modded to the core, there is not much left of the originial release so why X-Plane should be an exception ? Art-graphical side can be inifinitely shaped isn't it ?
  7. Ok guys I just wanted to know if you included some program that " report " everything that is made with the file, when and where it was installed, flew, edited in PM etc and this program would notice you of each event. Just thought that that's all, I understand that it is to be avoided at all cost to open it in PM as it's the 10th time I read it through the thread, just wanted to know about that particulat aspect. Thanks for your answers Goran & Cameron
  8. So you can see what the customer do with your plane ... That's frightening You can see how many hours it has been used, where it flew etc tec , I mean, the file is always connected to the internet ? Isn't it a part of privacy that, when you purchased an aircraft you do whatever you want with it ? Inclueding destroying it if you want ( and re-download it afterward if a stock version is needed again ? ) Or I'm completely off and it's just because the one person posted somewhere he opened it in PM ^^
  9. You are doing an amazing job I want mine, I want it NAAOOOWWWW !!!! ;-)
  10. Yellow logo could mean Gizmo as well Ben, be careful
  11. Yess you're definitely true sorry for the mistake about location, I admit I don't know very well those areas ;-) The one I look after is one of the oldest in service so yes it as standard needle instruments. It really depends on what I'll do in the next months, now I have a lot of spare time so I can work on it up to 9hours a day, but there is so much work to do and when it's your first plane, learning plane maker, Blender, Photoshop, animations etc ... it's a mountain of work, but so interesting ! Anyway, this TV show of Bush Pilot is really sweet to look at ;-) But I can't see the whole season
  12. The sky in X-Plane have never looked so real... I'm about to drop a tear my friend :o This will be a must have/best seller for sure, I give it my hand to be ripped off !
  13. Tons of great PNG ( and over bush places ) videos here : , on the venerable Pil'
  14. Yeah that's so true ! And PNG especially is the kingdom of Susi Air and their Turbo Porters !
  15. I'm starting episode 3 that's great ;-)
  16. I am not an expert at all but you'd better register on some Blender specialised forums, and find a lot of time to study youtube tutorials. Starts with simple geometry, cubes etc, build tables, houses, common objects such glasses, bottles, then a bit more complex ones such stairs etc ... Virtually, all can be started with : a cube and a circle ! Including the most detailed airplane ! Then you need to develop some special techniques to build " properly " and saving as much polygon as possible. For me, the hardest thing in 3D modelling is making things as detailed and accurate as possible while aiming for lowest polys ( for its evident use in a flight simulator or any video games ) Check here : http://blenderartists.org/forum/%C2'> But if you ask questions such how to make a table, they will laugh at you so you'd better get used to Blender interface and basics first with all the great youtube video tutorials Hope it helps !
  17. Yeah like this but with the thicker struts aerodynamic covers, like on the yellow one on your top photos ( right side ) I think it could be easy if we import the .obj in Blender with X-Plane2Blender, model new skids, edit accordingly in PM and rework textures and animations ...
  18. Smart idea ! Sadly too few liveries for this nice bird ! Would love Conex makes a low skid ( thick struts ) versions like the 70's ones !
  19. You have the Caravan, the C185, soon the Beaver and maybe one day my own PC-6 ;-)
  20. Hello dudes ! I don't know if this has been already posted, but I found ( and just starting to watch right now ) a show that looks to be very interesting ! http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Zy9_pZrT1GA I know there are some serious bush flying enthusiasts around here, such Bamboo Cougar and such ;-) That really makes me want to use the Carenado Caravan, as well as the incoming Beaver for SMS ! Sadly, what we miss here is good african ( or any bushy land ) sceneries and appropriates missions. Hope that market will develop a bit in the times to come, making accurate airplanes is not the only thing that bring entertainment ... missions a la FSX could add a huge added value to X-Plane ! ( hint hint !! ) Good watch
  21. The flight we discussed yesterday on chat ;-)
  22. I still cannot believe the level of detail put into this model ... I really wish I had more spare time to spend on playing X-Plane nowadays !
  23. Maybe they will send it to you via PM ;-) Because it seems they really want me to work hard to achieve that by myself hehe Just joking, don't take it bad
  24. Hey LA your post is very instructive and a pleasure to read ! So the final word is that this tendency is greatly reduced by rudder and also some wing position/engine mountslight orientation. I agree, I just said that during high power/low airspeed operation, such go around, you may feel on some airframe that tendency more than others. And it's less here during take-off because the power requirement is not so " sudden " and as the plane gain airspeed, the pilot naturally find the correct stick position for, when light on wheels , it would lift off approximately " balanced " And I know for the differences about helicopters vs airplanes, it was just a very crude example of the principle. Thanks for your long time investigation, that has helped I think to demystify that " issue " Cheers
