  1. Yes there are people here But you know, asking a DC-4 to LES will not automatically bring a DC-4 by LES two years after It not only takes time but they made what they want to first, then what the market wants second .. And it's normal ! How would you want to spend thousands of hours working in some aircraft you aren't in love with ?
  2. That is probably one of your best quality man ! Behind your skills of course ... But too many devs feels themselves so smart they think they shouldn't talk to the " low " people we ( the community ) are Hope this will last
  3. Nice video as usuals mate ! I love them all and subscribed on your YT channel But can't wait they do more fast turboprops like the PA46T or the TBM850 and of course, the Beech B200 King Air
  4. Lol, I noticed so much more but it's useless to point everything out !
  5. I meant it's a style of it's own, like the surrealism or impresionism etc like famous painters are reknown for ... But so far from real Take for example your aircraft carrier : this in the real world would for sure never be stable or even float, two times higher than what it should be Then the Corsair... hopefully it has it's seegull wing shape so that we can recognize it I don't know what are you aiming for but if it's the realism, you should take time to watch carrefully and understand how real airframes and such are built ( from a mechanical/technical point of view ) and assimilate the notion of blueprints, proportions and perspective etc BUT, if you just want to have fun with Blender and create fantasy things, then I think that's the way to go mate ;-)
  6. You have a very strange way to reproduce things in 3D ... but it's like a new style of its own ;-)
  7. We had those in Armée de l'Air, so I am interested in this one, seeing the level of detail Good luck Tonka
  8. I remember him saying ( can't find the post ) it might happen at some points ... This means the Triton water, is that right john ? I think with this, naval, floats, frigate and oil platforms ops will really got some neat interests ;-) >>> http://sundog-soft.com/sds/evaluate/gallery/?nggpage=5 <<<
  9. I have no words to describe you Johnny, you're probably the most innovative and bright developer of the X-Plane 10 run... Really impressed ! Why no one ever thinks about that before ?! Ahah nice job, seriously
  10. That is very neat Cameron, I'll surely buy North California when it's upgraded to this point !
  11. I love all your screens T50, what an artistic way of taking them ;-)
  12. No, I've said It's not same deal. Overall, I just say to be less sensitive and more focused on great behavior, relationship etc. I even don't care who ointment is or what he said, I just care about : this kind of reaction of self-defense or offending, I've seen it countless times already and that is a fact.
  13. Okay, I have a very simple question : What is so wrong with all of you X-Plane guys ? Are you really fond of that kind of behavior or yourselves are adults enough to realize it's exhausting, useless, non-constructive etc ? Each one of you tries to prove he is right/he is the smartest guy out there/he is very skilled/his words should be taken as absolute truth because he do that for 15 years etc etc etc ... Probably you should go out, meet some people and take some fresh air to change your black minds Dudes, we are nothing, we are just some X-Plane flight simulator enthusiasts, and this should be taken as a HOBBY !!!!! Even if you are passionate regarding flight simulation, why need to be so serious and aggressive as soon as you meet someone who don't follow your way of seeing how things should be done ? Even if you feel highly skilled aviation or computer experts, you are not that much, even most skilled developers can barely earn a living with it so why don't relax and take it easy as it should be ? Do you NEED a flight simulator to earn and prorogate your various QT & QC's ? I don't think 5% of us actually need a simulator for a professional perspective, and even if it's the case, level D sims and real platforms are there for that purpose. We are a small community and should help and tolerate each other instead of those pointless threads. We know the org sucks but why do we care ? Let em sink and bite the dust while X-Pilot could rise in blue skies and become an example of place everyone loves to be because of great attitudes, nice people, quality products and supports etc etc ... That's what it started to become but for a little while I have the feeling nervous minds comes and tend to splash everything up. Ben or Goran, I know you are part of the root of this great place that is X-Pilot and you unconsciously feel very concerned about it, but don't be so sensitive or you might be compared to Brett, the worst example on this planet. I never encountered so much people so prides of themselves, of their reputation etc... Maybe it's a typical Internet behavior where you know you can't be actually seen while typing and throwing shlt behind your computer, but in the real life ( the only one that worth spending time probably ), I meet a lot of very professional people, fighter pilots, mechanics, propellers engineer, ATC controllers etc, who have dream careers and REAL knowledge and skills and who could have reason to be pride and express it... the fact is that they don't ! I've never seen persons as modest as army pilots for example, and they are part of the most highly skilled and experienced people in the aviation industry, so when I see you little geekys, that learned everything on the Internet ( in a very freestyle way of learning ) arguing because you tries to prove you are one genius Plane Maker engineer that created X things etc etc ... that's kinda laughable Take it easy and smile, like all those good people do Only good human relationship can built the biggest and greatest things Don't we all want a better X-Plane ? So be better ourselves first !
  14. Why cannot he be black ?
  15. I'm tired of X-Plane people with as self pride as you and extremist opinions ... Steam is one of the genius things of the past years in the game industry and that's a fact Kallinen, even if you think it's too childish for your very serious and professional way of seeing this simulator. They offers great prices, there is a very active community, it's really alive I would compare it to listening to the radio for example. Probably, the only downside is that it destroys the small game shops market, for PC platforms. Back to X-Plane, I always loved this sim, and I honestly had huge hopes that X-Plane 10 would erase everything else on the civilian flight simulator market. Two years later I'm deeply disappointed and feel betrayed ( lol ) because I just feel there is a very weak and especially too small team behind this huge sim, and got the feeling too they are overwhelmed by bugs/things to improve and that X-Plane will finally keep it's " experimental " sim etiquette, forever
  16. Absolutely, even if sometimes it takes a while ...
  17. Yeah that's life, one day they will fall to oblivions and they will regret their attitudes. But this day isn't far at all... On my side, I'm a proud banned user, with the Hall of Shame label, like big rock stars got their ticket to Rock N' Roll Hall of Fame ... Ahah, Brett would ban his mother, that was a good one Toby !
  18. Actually there is already the x737 that is quite nice ! Pardon me, I don't know much about airliners, but 732 and classic 737 isn't like UH-1H and UH-1Y ? Anyway, it looks very exciting, I hope 2014 will be a good year for X-Plane
  19. I just love the way you want to input your skills into X-Plane world ! 100% for that, that will as you said give us the possibility to tweak up the raw display as we want ! Then we'll have Water MAXX, possibly with great high altitudes contrails that will be awesome ! Thanks for sticking on your quest of " always looking for the best " John !
  20. It's evident you don't follow actual news ... Our French Armée de l'Air, Aéronavale and ALAT has been very active lately in Malian African theater, and that wasn't just radar avoidance at all... tell that to those brave crews... @ tgw : http://www.classicjetsims.com/ From what I see here, no news at all of this F-18. We should see the F-16 and T-33 fitrst, but as I never heard anything from them I would say it won't come before a while. CJS has been focused more on World Traffic lately
  21. I mean .... THIS IS a Combat Simulator : X-Plane is not, even If I hurt some minds here, it's a fact I love X-Plane for what it does : simulate how an airframe should behave, with the addition of modern systems in advanced liners for example War is just another universe
  22. Of course Ben, But a 70 000 000 USD fighter is not meant to play around a Yacht to see if it will be spotted or not It is made to operate from an Aircraft Carrier for the naval F/A-18, and to intercept same generation fighters, running CAS missions or high importance tasks like these ... And this can't be done using some basic radar logic and a Luxury Yacht, I assume ... If the goal is to spend 15 min setting up the plane, then only climb to 40 000 ft for some " Luxury " cross country flights, then I would call that a waste of skills
  23. I open this thread cause I would like we discuss a little bit about the future of X-Plane Not having much news, I still heard about a fully simulated Garmin GNS 430 for 10.30 ? That would be an awesome thing ! I love those GPS, I'm used to operate the GNS 430 on a DA-40TDI, but in virtual I fell in love with the GNS 530, that I got from Reality XP Sadly, it doesn't work in X-Plane 10 64 bits and the developer do not want to hear what we think about that ... So a Laminar Research made default GNS 430 replacing the actual joke one would be much appreciated. ****************** Other than that, do you know anything about this new version ? Further optimization of the code, app working better on multicore CPU's and single GPU cards ? What about the features itself, regarding the landscape, art assets, aircraft systems, ATC etc ? Cheers, Hueyman
  24. I love your way of seeing things Tom Looking forward to this Boeing
  25. I don't want to be a troll or anything annoying like that, but to be honest, even the most accurate simulation of a modern military aircraft has only little to do in the X-Plane world ... X-Plane is a civilian flight simulator, and the total lack of missions etc would bring such product to a state of boringness in very little time... There is one software for that, and it's called DCS World. I spent nearly 3 months to get on with the steep learning curve of the A-10C for CAS mission, as I took a while to takes full advantages of the Sukhoï SU-25T back in Flamming Cliffs time ... This is challenging and you really enjoy your time in DCS ... In X-Plane, even the top notch files such awesome Colimata's Mig-29, CJS F-104 etc becomes obsolete very quickly, not because of the product quality but the platform lack of tasks for those aircrafts. I sadly see X-Plane as a great wind tunnel where you can throw whatever you want in it and it react almost like the real thing. Beside that, sadly not much to do, ATC still way out of what I'm used to do in real life ( cross country VFR, traffic patterns etc ... not every PPL can only do IFR Flight Planned flights ... ) Even if some kind of X-Combat plugins finally see the sun, what would be fun in succeeding blowing something in a civilian environment ? We would need Strelas, ZSUs, RWR,AWACS, JTAC and all the stuff that give a military immersion All that is in DCS World. X-Plane isn't ( and won't ever be a combat sim )
