A friend of mine fly's 777's for Cathay out of Hong Kong....he said they have been using IPads for a while now....all his Jeppessen charts and other paper work is already on there. They still carry the paper charts but they are "filed" safely in the pit somewhere Slainte. Andy NZCH

Pity your not coming to the "mainland" There are some nice military airfields like Whanuapai (sp?) and Ardmore (ardmore is close to Auckland). Welly is great.....if you fly there you will see what I mean! Some other airports that might be of interest are Blenheim (where the Warbirds are every second easter....), that has a great museum built mostly by Weta Workshops, which isnt far from Picton. Apart from that try the "local map" in XP and see what are close by.... I can help with some airfields around Christchurch and surrounding areas if that would help? Could even make some generic buildings for you Slainte, Andy NZCH

quick guess....greeble? Havent seen you last blog post so am just guessing here. Could be interesting though Any chance of a Christchurch based airport? I cant imagine the default airport coming with XP10 will be anything close to what is really there......still waiting for my disks to arrive Slainte. Andy NZCH

Hi Carrot.....havent picked the tablet up yet I can get the XP sim no worries was after any info regarding the apps that can be used with XP. I think there is XPWidgets that runs under android, will have to check. I have Trainz 2010 on the PC at the moment...its great! I was thinking of upgrading to Trainz 2012 but will have to wait till next year as I spent my sim funds on XP10 ( disks should be here in a week I guess.). Slainte, Andy NZCH

Hi Cameron, glad to hear you guys are on to it. Funny thing is every other payware plane I have bought from X:A and XScenery is working fine....just the Sundowner. Still, the way the updates are coming out for XP10 its a wonder there is any chance of plane development from you guys at all!!!!!!! Hi again, was just playing in XP10 Demo (have just received the update form XA that the disks have been sent!!!!), and I noticed at the bottom of the error report for the Sundowner this line of text: (REN_graphstate_terrain.cpp:389) Does this mean anything to you? It still says it cant find the ciruitbreakers_LIT.png, but atleast I can fly the others with no problems Slainte, Andy NZCH

Have just found this thread....and thanks to Cameron on pointing me here I was using XP10 demo (still waiting for the disks....), and loaded the Sundowner. XP10 CTD after telling me it couldnt find the "circuitbreakers_LIT.png" file in the objects folder, which is weird as I found it in the objects folder. After reading the posts here I see there is a patch coming out. Is this the first time anyone has had a CTD with supposed missing textures? Slainte, Andy NZCH

After watching the video I was amazed at how easy he made starting the Beaver look......surely there ust be some kind of ceremony or sacrafice to be made to the radila engine gods before starting this woonderous beast? Slainte. Andy NZCH

Hahahahaha, that was the one we talked about earlier in the posts....I painted an RC plane of this one for a guy....that orange was a right beggar to paint!!! Its called "international Orange" the states and "Scarlet Crimson" in the UK. If this one comes out I can see a few flights down around the Antarctic Slainte. Andy NZCH

That sounds fantastic. Will be using v9 for a while yet as I have to put an AMD 6 core cpu in the computer.....that should fix a couple of things Really looking forward to this release...quality product by a fantastic team. Downloaded and reading......holy snappers batman!!!! I remember using the built in ATC with MS2004.....all I did was hit enter and started getting ATC information.....no radio freqs to dail in BEFORE I did anything!!! Im not sure how FSX handles this but its a first for me! Man, this is just getting better ad better! Slainte, Andy NZCH
