  1. Hi, as some of you might remember I had the CTDs as well, but I am not using X-Enviro at all. I was getting memory warnings from windows around 20 till 30 minutes before the CTDs every time. I thought, that the sim would just get slower due to that, but it seems the low memory was actually causing the CTDs in my case. I think so, because since I doubled virtual memory I did not experience any CTDs. So what I think everyone with the CTDs should at least try, is to significantly increase virtual memory in windows. Regards, Chris
  2. Hi Tom, hi all, of course there are many unknowns. I don't say that XEnviro might not be responsible for crashing X-Plane. It just can not be in my case, which would mean there are at least two bugs present - in whatever part of software. However, this discussion about what might be the root cause needs some more facts. I am willing to test some more and provide details but as I said, there is nothing useful in the logs. What can I do to get more Info? cheers, chris
  3. Gentlemans, can you please stop blaming XEnviro for the crashes. There is no proof for your wild guessing. This is not helpful and distracts from the fact that there are crashes for a currently unknown reason. @hhbrbg has reproduced a connection loss to the XEnviro Servers and that did not cause a crash and I don't even have XEnviro. To me this indicates that XEnviro is not responsible for this crashes or at least not in all cases. @Litjan or @Morten my logs do not contain any info why xplane crashed. Is there a special debug mode that I can activate to get more info from the logs in the future? Greetings, Chris
  4. Hi Tom, XACARS is a flight tracking system used by my virtual arline. I am not exactly sure how to tell whether or not XACARS is running with the x-plane plugin system. If I remember correctly you copy it into the plugins folder for installation. From then on you have an item in the menu. When you click it XACARS loads up. For more info about XACARS please see: http://www.xacars.net/ Greetings, Chris
  5. Hi Tom, no, I don't even use XEnviro. The only two other plugins active at this time where the landing speed rating thing (don't know the exact name) and XACARS. Like I said, the problems did not occur before IXEG 1.2. On the other hand, I was doing an very short flight from EDDL to EDDK at friday and there everything went well. I was not running XACARS there. Greetings, Chris
  6. I am no sure about this but I believe the CRZ page is not fully implemented at the moment so this might be the reason. Maybe @Litjan can shed some light on this.
  7. Same here. Twice in a row from LOWI to EDDK. I was running XACARS in both cases. However this did not make any problems in the past.
  8. Hello folks, I consider buying a tablet to use it as an electronic flight bag and I am wondering if I should get a android or an apple device. The charts will very likely come from navigraph and their app is available on iOS and android, and thus this does not affect my decision. I am wondering which platform has more useful apps available. By useful I mean for example a flight planer, a fuel calculation tool, a performance calculation tool (preferably all in one app), instruments with real time display of xplane data or an FMC for the IXEG 737, just to name a few ideas from the top of my head. Important: I am only interested in answers regarding available flight sim apps. The other concerns such as "which exact hardware at what cost" or "is apple better than google" do not bother me. Now, what are your opinions on this? Thank you, Chris
  9. Nothing beats moment when fiddling with date and time in JavaScript ;-)
  10. Thank you, wain. I don't know if these tweaks are needed. I did not have time to test the update yet. I will update this thread once I had. If you do so first, you are more than welcome to share your experiences. Cheers
  11. Yup, had the same problem without the tweaking. The above Engine Specs fix with Plane Maker solved that for me.
  12. Hi Tom, thank you. Good idea. I added that point.
  13. Hey guys, I have the fabulous 737 from IXEG working in XP11. Because this plane is not officially supported in XP 11 yet, I had to do a few tweeks to get the bird flying. I see a lot of people, asking the same questions in this regard here. What I'd like to do with this post, is to help people who would like to use the 737 in XP 11, by providing a single post with all the required steps so that people don't have to search that much. So, here we go: Installation Install XP 11 as you like by using the X-Plane 11 Installer.exe Install the IXEG by using the windows-installer.exe that comes with the download Specify your XPlane 11 (not 10!) root folder when asked by the IXEG installer When this is done you may, or may not be able to already fly the plane without further tweaking. However, I wasn't and here are the two tweaks I did. Fixing APU not starting and plane not correctly responding to thrust problems Make a backup of the file B733.acf under X-Plane11\Aircraft\X-Aviation\IXEG 737 Classic In your XP11 root folder, open PlaneMaker.exe Select File -> Open and find the file B733.acf under X-Plane11\Aircraft\X-Aviation\IXEG 737 Classic Select Standard -> Systems Navigate to the Electrical tab Check the following APU Checkboxs: auxiliary power unit (APU) APU provides bleed air for engine start APU provides generator for electrical supply Close the View with X (Note: Close the view, not the program) Select Standard -> Engine Specs Select the Description tab Set hi idle fuel adjustment to 1.16 (fuel ratio) Set lo idle fuel adjustment to 0.88 (fuel ratio) Close the View with X (Note: Close the view, not the program) Select File -> Save Quit PlaneMaker.exe And that's it. Go have a good time flying this beauty :-) For the sake of completeness: I use Windows 7 Home Premium (Version 6.1; Build 7601: Service Pack 1) X-Plane 11.01r2 IXEG 737 1.0.7 No other add ons Cheers, Chris
  14. Hi Lorenzo, Did you know, that you need to "capture" the throttle when turning AT off? To do so do the following: If the throttle setting in the sim is "higher" than the throttle setting on your joystick, you have to move the throttle forward, beyond the actual settings in the sim. This will cause the throttle in the sim to be "captured" and your joystick throttle will work correct from then on. See this video from Jan for further explanation: Cheers, Chris
