  1. What other plugins do you have installed?
  2. This likely happens because it contains Gizmo which is a scripting engine, which allows many possible code paths, so the virus engines can go a bit crazy. Gizmo itself will not load or execute scripts if it's been tampered with or corrupted. I've been false-flagged and whitelisted by virus apps before. TLDR: It's probably safe to ignore both of them, install it, and if it works, it's fine.
  3. Going straight to XP11 wouldn't be much fun for our XP10 customers that bought in good faith with the expectations of updates for the sim we advertised we were selling for. XP11 support will come.. It's relatively trivial from what I've seen to make the plane work in XP11, fiddly yes, but not too hard. It's almost impossible to back-port from XP11 to XP10. And then there's the subject of focused efforts. We're sure as a team that focusing our energies on fixing our bugs will be the most beneficial over the long haul. Short term it's a little frustrating but think of the progress the other devs are not making on their core product by continually tweaking the same fiddly things over and over that will soon be left alone for years. Systems depth doesn't create itself. Immersive touches won't either. The physics tweaks will take countless hours of repetitive testing to adjust. Should we really be doing that potentially every week and stalling other things so that we can dance to Laminars whim? Hopefully when X-Plane 12 comes around Laminar will take at least one page out of Lockheeds book and work more closely with third parties so we can all have a launch party together.
  4. very odd. try making the folder XP/X-Aviation/ by hand, its failing to do it automatically...
  5. This is being investigated. Your patience is appreciated.
  6. Uhh, sorry. Tired eyes. Gizmo.plugin is an old (ancient) file in your plugins folder. It's for the 32bit sim. If you're no longer running 32bit x-plane you can delete XP/Resources/plugins/Gizmo.plugin Gizmo64.plugin is the current item for 64bit use. You can also delete shrink-wrap.plugin - another ancient legacy 32bit plugin we no longer use. Aside from that, not sure. Will wait on full Log data via ticketing.
  7. From that it looks like you're probably using an older version of OSX that's no longer supported by Apples current tools. What version of OSX are you using?
  8. Gizmo update has been made available. We're working through a series of product update releases. (SkyMAXX 4.5, IXEG 1.1, New DRM Activation System...) I'd expect something very soon.
  9. Thanks. I called halt to the updates process monsth ago so that we could patch busted DRM so the collective businesses could stop bleeding out so we could continue to serve and update rather than slowly going bust and eventaully finding another job. It's a great relief to get them out for many many reasons. I hope we can continue with a more evenly paced and regular update process again from here on.
  10. With large profits and user numbers comes large tolerance to piracy theft rates. Flight sims are a niche market. Our entire user base on steam is a joke compared to most titles. Check out the steam charts stats for yourself. It's a fragile market. Without DRM most of the stand out products you enjoy today simply wouldn't exist. We would've moved on to other ways to pay the bills.
  11. Because we aren't multi billion dollar companies with massive margins and user bases?
  12. The two week re-activation policy is IDENTICAL to X-Plane 11 online.
  13. Yes. The IXEG update will automatically contain a new version of Gizmo. You do not need to do anything except run the X-Aviation installer.
  14. Yes. This is by design. I want people to have an automated but more private update. The default is now to only fire off a check if the license has <= 2 days left. This means the check doesn't happen "every time I start the sim". I'd rather not wake up to another massive fuss tomorrow. To be clear, defaults are: [ON] Auto check if <= 2 days remaining. [OFF] Auto check every time sim starts. [ON] Notify me when license is updated.
  15. You shit post all over the org. You didn't help AT ALL. I was asleep while you were busy blowing this WAY out of proportion.
  16. *twitches*
  17. Simulated ephemeris year is apparently 2014 to best match X-Plane.
  18. I'm going to add an option so people can turn off the notification. I hope to get it in the IXEG update release.
  19. I'm going to add an option later today; [x] Notify me when my Licenses is updated. Then we can bring this ridiculous discussion to an end. If this is the only complaint you have with such a complicated overhaul I'm very happy.
  20. I get this(exact screenshot not provided but you get the point) on my phone about once every few days and it cannot be disabled. It BLOCKS interaction with the phone until its dismissed and it's irritating as hell because it BLOCKS.
  21. X-Plane itself will BLOCK loading your entire session for the following: - Updates available. - Scenery Error - Scenery is water. - Serial number requires validation. - New input device detected, want to configure it? ...and then some. I'm a few versions behind XP11 current due to my shitty internet ($10/gig) and other life issues. You're making a massive fuss over a tiny mouse click. There are way bigger issues going on at every IT level than this.
  22. What do you call a rant spread across multiple forums? http://forums.x-plane.org/index.php?/forums/topic/122730-done-with-x-aviation/
  23. Having recently been through a house move, a flood, and faced with continual shitty solar powered, wifi hopping, 3G cellular internet....... I built the system to serve the worst connectivity and the laziest use case. If you play regularly and something unexpected happens, expect your licenses to keep working. If you go on holiday and dont have time to update your license before you go out the door, expect it to keep working. Etc. Thanks for seeing the positive.
  24. We're done here.
