  1. Well, I just checked, and I guess I had since there isn't much control over the sounds, I had the master sound turned down, and the clicks were barely audible. I turned it up, and there it is, just like the video. Cool. Tim
  2. If someone hasn't bought the software, then their opinion of it is meaningless to me for sure. I could care less what a speculator has to say. I could only stomach 33 minutes of the second video, the cockpit setup vid. I wanted to slap the non pilot if he said "cool" one more time....LOL! That video series seems like a good concept, but poorly executed. The 737 pilot seemed to espouse company policy, as standard operating procedure across the board. In the 33 minutes I did watch, the only thing peaked my interest was the comment that the master caution with recall is there to alert the pilots to items that are not directly in their field of view. Tim
  3. Also, stop using long drags when it's time to fine tune. When your close, let go of the knob, then reposition your cursor on the knob, then do the final fine tune. Scrolling is much worse. Try some of the Carenado offerings, and you will start to get carpal tunnel syndrome on your index finger from all of the scrolling.....LOL. Tim
  4. Thanks! I'll check it out when I get home from work today. Tim
  5. What click sound? My FMC is silent. No click sound, and not EXEC tone. I assumed it was supposed to be that way. Tim
  6. Well, well, well. I usually try to not have RTFM thrown at me, but in this case, it's deserved....LOL. I did skim the manual, but clearly, not closely enough. Thanks. Tim
  7. I noticed a "company route" heading in the FMC, and the aircraft folder has a company route section as well. Does anyone know how save a favorite route as a "company route" for future use? Thanks, Tim
  8. How about Northwest Airlines bowling shoe livery? Thanks, Tim
  9. Not to mention, once they have a complete and functional FMC, then it can be utilized in another project, which would cut down on development significantly. Tim
  10. LOL!!! I thought I just needed a new chair. OK. OK. Put the pitch forks and flaming torches down. I don't care when it's released. I've only been an XPlane user for a few months, and haven't been waiting for this as long as some of you cranky old curmudgeons. I wish you all clear skys, minimal route changes, and zero XPlane crashes this weekend. Now, step away from the ledge, and go call a loved one...Hahahahahaha! Tim
  11. Hahahahaha...... No, I did not miss that announcement. My point is that another couple weeks waiting wouldn't kill anyone. At this point, for the people committed to buying it right off, a day, week, or month delay won't really matter.
  12. LOL.... I know this was a joke, but in all seriousness, if there were some final unexpected tweaks to be made, I would rather wait a couple more weeks for product that is as complete and functional right out of the gate, versus multiple updates soon after release. I'm guessing I'm in the minority though. Tim
  13. Whether the impending release of the x737 nudged IXEG to release V1.0 now is unknown. I'm sure they were aware of the May 1 release date. That said, the x737 release certainly will affect IXEG sales. The hardcore flyers will buy the IXEG offering on day one, no matter the price. The fence sitters though will likely wait, and try out the x737 for free, especially if the cost of the IXEG is north of $60 USD. If the x737 wasn't coming out in a week, then I think a lot of the fence sitters would buy in as well right off the bat. Tim
  14. Negative. I'd rather wait longer, and have a solid piece of software right out of the gate. Once released into the wild, ALL software has previously unidentified bugs that get revealed with mass use, and can be addressed as needed. Let them work their magic, and we will all be rewarded with an aircraft that is going to set the bar for other developers. Tim
  15. Likely analog. My favorite plane is the FlyJSim 727, which is all analog. There's something comforting about steam gauge cockpits. Tim
  16. Nah. I heard it right. Last promo vid. Next set of videos will be tutorials after release. Tim
  17. Very cool. I don't fly any aircraft with a FMC, and never have. I'm an old school pilot that still revels in VOR to VOR with DME equipment. I've looked at the freeware and payware FMC's that are available for XPlane, but they all seem to have some issue or another to contend with, so I've avoided them. After watching these videos for the past few months, this is the bird that is going to drag me kicking and screaming into a modern(ish) FMC cockpit. I can't believe I'm going to be joining the button pusher club ;-] Lastly, I really like the fact this aircraft is a transitional aircraft. One that still harkens back to the steam gauge era cockpit, but hasn't been transformed into a full blown flat screen filled office cubical. Very cool that this is the last preview video before release. I've tried to glean as much operational info from these videos, so I'm really glad you are going to make some tutorial vids after release. I'm usually a wait and see buyer, but this will be a first day purchase for me. Thanks for the effort. It's about to payoff for the team. Tim
