mraviator, Once you've dl'ed it and it's fine (never had a corrupt dl yet, touch wood) Keep that dl safe, then use it as/when needed Saves having to request dl's With a saved dl of the plane, as long as your OS or Motherboard etc are the same, any fresh activations are not limited to three installs So it pays to give a bit of space up for this and most payware items for future use Hope that makes sense Tony

Jack, No idea if you're still creating ortho for the UK But if you are, ive found Bing (BI option) to be the best for UK+EU Two tiles draw a blank though up Scotland using BI, so i'll use google (go2, with the Check Against White Textures unticked) No doubt by this time you're well sorted and covered in ortho lol Tony

Hiya's, Weird one i just can't can't figure, it's gotta be a simple fix I have two versions of both the SSG (inter and cargo) in the choose plane option (forget exact name but it's where you choose your flight plane) One of each is showing the liveries, and i've even redone them The 'Copy' of each inter and cargo are showing as a black blank no livery showing, when i choose either of these xp throws up a missing airfoil and crashes xp11 I've checked only one instance of the inter and cargo is installed I use Navigraph which i keep updated, especially after the last few days beta releases hehe Any ideas what i've fubar'ed up on ? I've been through as much as i can see xp-wise to see what i've done Ohh, the planes showing with the liveries work fine, i just want to remove their ghosts from the options lol Cheers Tony

You've got your initial download safe i'm assuming .......... Drag that rar file to say your desktop Unrar it there (leaving you initial rar download safely stored, so don't mess with that as it saves using additional download slots) In the now newly unrarred folder, click on and run the Installer Follow the prompts You should iirc get prompted for your purchase emaill adress and a password Then after all prompts You're ready to fire xp up and go in Tony ps: replied to other htread too, do i suggest there, it might shed some light onto what's going fubar Tony

Fearme1421, Also, After you download/downloaded the plane, type in exactly what you're doing as of now (no need to use your download slots up, just use initial d/load) EG : After dl'ed to desktop ........ i unrarred onto desktop/ran the installer/installation finished/ , etc etc Tony ,

Hiya, To add this also With the downloaded rar (in my case) Make sure you extract that first somewhere then use the installer from there Direct installing from the rar can cause some hickups Hope you get it sorted as you'll love the old bird Tony

Hiya's, XP11 pb4 came out a while ago Don't update from pb3 until the newer pb4 is fixed Two errors for others and myself, though some just one error It throws up a GLSL shader error and/or a Navdata error too Tony Edit : Looks like they've pulled pb4 So if you have updated and obviously fubar'ed Just run the installer and it will send you back to a pb3 state Tony

Hiya, With you monitoring your vram/ram usage as ppodster suggested and them being fine All i can think of is drop down all the sim settings to lowest, and if anything below helps then raise them back up to what works fine for you Then see if you've gained any fps If not, double check your install path, redo the hotfix As a last resort do a fresh install, as long as you kept the plane download safe you won't use another one up, and as long as your hardware hasn't changed, a fresh plane install won't use a slot up Some real weird problems seemingly get fixed with a fresh plane install, especially to do with graphics and ergo maybe fps related problems For myself and i guess so many others, the fps have been just fine Hope you get it sorted Tony

Hiya, I'd do as Tom suggests, with you both seeing each other it must be something simple just like it was in xivap The xivap plugin is a third party work around from my understanding, and was from many moons ago, so no need for this as you're seeing each other just fine being directly connected If or rather When you crack it, a Howto etc would be good for others If i find anything i'll chime back in here Hope you get it sorted Have Fun Tony

Hiya, I don't get locked per say from what i see If you've added anything at all to 11 i'd remove and go flatout for a stock setup Try somewhere out of the way, maybe a small grass strip, see what fps/cpu/gpu usage looks like Using the nice nifty stock cessna would be a good choice, great on fps in 11 Then add in anything like x-enviro/smp etc and see what gives, i mean if fps take a nose dive I've found obviously the stock 11 planes i've tried so far give good fps, the IXEG 737 does too and also the Epic 1000, my other pw planes obviously need to be updated etc for 11 (obviously) as the fps drop can be noticed at times Trying to think which of my pw planes for xp10 gives me a somewhat drop in performance, i'm not sure if it's the SSG 747 (xp11 will have a v2 version) or the FF 767-300er (also due an xp11 update) But i think out of my pw ones those can take a fps hit Tony Edited a slightly harsh wording about performance, needed to as only one plane so far as i know is out for xp11, so a bit harsh to mention a performance hit when actually they weren't coded for xp11 lol ...........

http://csl.x-air.ru/ Hope that links ok I got to fly with guys i met online using this It's a bit hard going as i assume the writers native language isn't english (bravo to all multi-linguits though) I installed the util in the Plugins folder I think i was sent the CSL's i needed to see the guys, and told where to place them Ohh, grab the lights fix too, it makes the lights somewhat smaller and round Anyways it gets hazy next, with the CSL's in correct folder (no idea offhand) you have to set several items in the popup util thingie lol Easy once you've done it once, i'm sure i had to make a pw and callsign or something like that (been quite a while as you can tell since i used it) Now to think what we used to see each other on a map, i think it was http://xfsd.ansorg-web.de/fsdmap/ As i say it's been ages and i lose track of what i've tried since 11 came out If i get time i'll try and check my old install of xp10 and see where i added/altered stuff It did work fine for us and we flew some great stints around valleys etc around the world lol As far as i can remember, we all had to have each others csl in xp so we could all see the different plane types we flew Hope that helps a bit Tony ps : Don't help having a drink or two at the moment lol pps : Checked my xp10 files, in plugins after installing xivap, you get a folder called X-IvAp Resources, once you find the CSL/CSL's you need off that site or maybe make them, inside the folder i mention is the CSL folder, hence you slap the CSL's in there ppps : If you need i can upload the xivap file, i'm not sure if the one on the site is still working ? Hiya, I used Sparse or Dense in v3, that was solely for my vision idea of clouds I think/assume in v4 the Sparse option made way to allow the new HD option In v4 i still do prefer Dense If you read 'somewhere' as-in it'd take me alday to find it lol, i think Dense can spread out the cloud formation over a wider (higher draw radius) range maybe giving the appearence of better fps (or i might of had too much xmas merriment ! hehe) A tip if you're on the edge of your rigs performance, drop all xp settings down low, choose your clouds to you liking, from that base start raising what you like to see xp-wise Also, don't forget you can make presets in v3 and v4, do for eg : Max Mid and Low presets, and as the need arrises if it does, quickly switch from say a Max to a Mid That way you really can get a great overall feeling of fluffiness I think i did find the solid a bit 2d for my taste but watching plenty of pilot vids they see that type pretty often And i'm sure the radius gets less or clouds get thinned out as v4 is coded to keep your fps up in tough/dense/taxing scarios (again, maybe too much xmas cheer lol) I've got a decent rig and can't max 10 or 11, down to cpu being the weakest link now (5820k @ 4.7) so she's no slouch Watch a way earlier Vid from Osamah, he explains what options uses which chip, a real insight into how you can bump clouds etc up At the end of the day it simply boils down to two things, what your rig can do eye-candy wise, and what you're prepared to live with, sometimes like myself, it's finding a balance i can live with until Intel pull their finger out, or maybe what other goodies AMD have up their sleeve !! Heya V, I've not fired up xp10 since first day release of xp11 I can see both sides as per update fee for stuff from 10 to 11, there's work involved, so work = wage = surviving, pricing err well, not got many planes that i think will get an initial update for 11 so i'm yet to see costs etc, obviously very recent purchasers are gonna feel a bit miffed about having to splash on an update, if prices do get out of hand, do like most i guess, vote with your wallet The SSG 747-8 combo i have has been slated to have a update err well a v2 solely for 11, this is a paid upgrade/update to existing owners, no idea cost, i'll say though i'm 99% certain i'll pay what they want for a v2 as i like the bird so much Only been an xp addict for 12mths, must admit though, all my paywares have took some abuse in this short time lol, had my monies worth from all of them over that time hehe For me 10 and 11 are different species, so with that in mind i'm in the mindset of having to pay something for 11 compatibility, just gonna use my noodle as to if/when i have to pay for 11 updates etc VR i've never even tried, maybe i'll check out a tester at a shop by me after xmas Back onto the cost, the most fair way of updates etc i can ever see if on purchase you get x amount of days free updates, but, like now with 11 upon us, it would be nice to be forewarned about upcoming paid patches/updates, but again this is a two edged sword somewhat If they did forewarn then a lot of companies see this as a lost revenue time as potential purchasers decline, but for my thinking, i would give kudos for forewarning, so if i was interested in the eg xp10 version i would certainly wait and snap the xp11 version up, kinda feeling nice and somewhat loyal to that developer Anyays, waffle mode off lol Have Fun Tony
